We were a group of three and had less than a day in kyoto. We wanted to see so many things and he made it possible! He brought a little booklet and has printouts for teaching us about the different symbols at the temples and shrines we went to. He was so knowledgeable and easy to get along with. He showed us how to respectfully enter the temples and shrines. He even helped us get on the train to our next stop Osaka. We seriously would have been lost without him and he was very patient and extrem... view more
Yumiko is a very nice person and a wonderful guide, takes care of every detail, pays attention to everyone’s needs. Very knowledgeable. We hired her for two full days in Kyoto and Nara. Family of 5, we highly recommend her view more
The day was fantastic! Fujiko understood exactly what kinds of things we would enjoy, and introduced us to many interesting people! She knows everyone and told us all about the history and about living on Sado today. We were looking for a specific bamboo basket, and Fujiko found a basket maker craftsman with a huge warehouse of baskets. We found exactly what we were looking for. Fujiko is fun to be with and her English vocabulary is impressive. view more
Our family of four had a great time seeing the best of Nikko. Makiko did a wonderful job of organizing our tour so that we could see everything in the few hours that we had in Nikko before we headed back to Tokyo. Thanks to Makiko, everything went smoothly and everyone enjoyed the time that we spent in Nikko. view more
Our first 2 days in Tokyo would not have been the same without Toshi! Toshi took us to many of the highlights in Tokyo from food tour of Tsukiji Market to shrines in Asakusa to shopping in Harajuku and more shopping in Akihabara. She was very accommodating (and patient!) and flexible with all of our requests and any last minute changes. Most of all she felt like she was part of our family! We never felt like she was a tour guide but more like a family member showing us around. She is kind and ... view more
Yoko was great a communicating with me before my arrival and she was right on time to meet me at Keisei Ueno station. We only had about 4 and a half hours together and we did a whirlwind tour of the East Gardens and Asakusa Temple. Yoko was very knowledgeable and pleasant. She helped me make the most of the time I had available. view more
It was amazing. Our driver arrived early and he was super sweet and nice. He spoke good enough of English which was great! We were staying at Lake Kawaguchiko and they picked us up from Tokyo. Toll and Parking weren't included and it cost us an additional $100. It was a great first-time experience but will probably be our last. Overall, they are amazing and we were pleased. view more
Wonderful tour guide, highly recommend him! Beyond just “seeing the sights,” Akira shared his own personal knowledge/history, explained customs. Guided us onto the subways and paced the tour so that we could take in main sights, and included “off the beaten track” places as well. English was the spoken language and felt at ease since can be hard to communicate with the public, at times. Guided us to a great sushi restaurant for lunch at Tsukiji Outer Market. Did quite a bit of walking, so put ... view more

I contacted seven different tour guides, both the top rated guides on this site and on two other sites to take us on a Tokyo G-cans tour. None of the guides I contacted would take us, as the tour was slightly out of the ordinary for them...Thankfully this site put me in touch with the guide Nobu-san and he happily organised the whole tour for us. Nobu planned it perfectly, despite never having been there before. He was on-time to meet us, quietly spoken, very friendly and did well to translate f... view more
