It was my pleasure to make this visit to the special capsule building which may no longer exist in the near future. The unit was purposely renovated to restore the original character in the 1970s and brought my memories back. The guide is professional and have a wide knowledge in architecture, we had exchanged the build topics between Japan and my place. view more

Toshiyo is wonderful!! A very intelligent and considerate person who truly made our trip to Kyoto so special and insightful! She met us at our hotel in the morning and we did an all day tour with her that involved 4 different temples/shrines. She provided fantastic knowledge about each site throughout the tour and helped navigate the city so we could really see as much as possible in the amount of time we had without losing out on quality. We would highly recommend her and the TripleLights compa... view more
Hiroshi-san showed us around Tokyo during a full day tour. He came to pick us up at our hostel, early, and we saw Tsukiji Hongan-ji temple, Tsukiji market, had lunch at a very nice sushi restaurant, visited the Hokusai art museum, the Fukagawa Edo museum, and the Sumo museum near the stadium complete with a visit to the Sumo clothing store. So you can see that you should prepare for a full day of walking and learning! Hiroshi-san is very knowledgeable about all the history of the places we visit... view more
We liked him! He came on time and very patient to us especially to my 3 yr old son. We took a lot of pictures all the time, but he sees to it that we still manage the time to visit more places. He always managed to look for us! What also made him excellent is that he was so concerned about my son because we need to look for a nebulizer machine during the tour. Two thumbs up for Sir Akira! view more
Thank you Mana for an incredible two days. What we covered in that time would have taken us at least a week to see if we were by ourselves, time we didn't have since we were only in Kyoto for four days. Your command of the public transport system in all forms was amazing. (I had no idea Randen existed). Thank you for walking up Mt Inari with us, the kimonos, the tea ceremony and textiles and for also including the suprise stop at the station near the sake brewery. I could keep going with t... view more
Yuki provided us with a wonderful 4 hour tour. We started with a bird's eye view of Tokyo from the world trade center building, then headed to nearby shrine. Afterwards, we toured the Meiji Jingo shrine. Yuki taught us about Shoguns, Emperor rule, Buddhism and Shinto. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We would tour with Yuki again, without question. view more
