My family and I had a 2-day personalized tour of Kyoto with Mitsuyuki-san during cherry blossom season. As we had young children with us, it was easiest to travel by car but Mitsuyuki-san made the experience even more wonderful by being flexible and allowing us to change items around to better suit the weather or ability of the children. In the end we got to see more of Kyoto than we had previously imagined and even saw some hidden gems which were not previously on our list. Mitsuyuki-san was so... view more
I highly recommend DAI as a tour guide. He was very punctual, knowledgeable, respectful, accommodating and did everything he could, for us to have a great day in Tokyo. With the time we had, DAI took us to the main attractions of the city. He communicated with us very well, he asked us what we wanted to do and also gave us very useful recommendations for us to have a very pleasant and productive visit. Thank you so much DAI!!! view more
Since we were unfamiliar with the transportation in Tokyo we asked her to meet us at her hotel. She accompanied us on the train and when we arrived in Kamakura gave us a day filled with great experiences. She was very aware of our abilities, we were in our late 60s and early 70s. She was caring, informative and have us a wonderful day. view more
My husband and I had a totally unique experience with Michiko that I don't think could have been accomplished without a Tokyoite. It was our first hours in Tokyo and we got to experience a part of Shinjuku like a local. It was definitely a fun and memorable evening. We had a quiet pleasant time at our first stop in fancier izakaya and then went for a walk around Shinjuku to see Godzilla, sit with the robots for some pictures, Kabukicho, and Omoide Yokocho(Memory Lane). We then headed to another ... view more
Our trip involved 3 generations traveling together and we scheduled a full day tour of Tokyo with Mayumi. Mayumi grew up in Tokyo and as such has tremendous knowledge of the city and culture. She set a wonderful itinerary for us which included a visit the Senso-Ji Shrine, a boat ride on the Sumida River, Hamarikyu Park and the Meji Shrine. Along the way she taught us how to use the subway and the history of the Japanese language. In addition, she told us about some of her favorite places to... view more
Everything worked perfectly. Yuji struggled to make our visit to Hiroshima and Miyajima unforgettable. We were very short on time, but he was able to show us all top points of interest. We want to thank him to be so nice and professional view more
I arrived in Tokyo on a Wednesday evening. My flight came in at 14:15, and I then took the train to my apartment. I then met up with Shunsuke in Shibuya for a night out in Tokyo! This tour served as an introduction to my time in Japan, and it did not disappoint!! Shunsuke connected with me on a messaging app which made communication so much easier. He had planned a great itinerary for us, and we ate at a great yakitori place for dinner! His tour was the perfect intro to my trip to Japan!! Thanks... view more
Yuki was an excellent guide. He met me at the Tokyo Station, and we headed out on a day trip to Kyoto. Yuki was very organized from the beginning of our tour to the end. He had meticulously planned our itinerary as to fit the most sites in to our short time in Kyoto. Communication prior to the tour was great. Yuki was also a great conversationalist, and he was obviously well versed in Japanese history. I enjoyed talking with him over the course of the tour. We had a busy day, but I greatly appre... view more
We love the flexibility of doing our own itineraries during our travels instead of joining tour groups. For Kyoto, however, I took a risk and hired a private guide with a car to make the most of our one full day in that beautiful city. It was a very smart decision that was worth the money! We were able to see some major attractions which would have been impossible without a car (and with a kid!). We were also treated to historical and cultural background stories of each site, which we would have... view more
Kazue was so gracious and kind. We took a day trip together from Shinjuku to Kamakura. Communication prior was great. We connected on a messaging app which made discussing the trip and our meeting place much easier. She kindly met me at the train station closest to me, and she guided me through the temples and shrines of Kamakura. We shared great conversation together. She was very attentive to my needs on the tour, and she wanted to make sure that I was seeing all the historical landmarks I wan... view more

Can't say enough good things about this guy. We spent two days together traveling around Tokyo. Meeting up with him was easy as Dai met me at the train station closest to where I was staying. Communication prior to the tour was good too. We explored all the Tokyo hot spots and enjoyed lots of good food. Dai is also a great conversationalist as he has had many world travel experiences. Dai, thanks for helping me have a great trip! view more
