We were fortunate to have Tetsuji as our guide. He provided a wonderful experience for us as we got to see Gifu Castle, Cormorant Fishing, and Kawara-machi... we also enjoyed Squirrel Village & shopping. In addition, we relaxed in the open air Onsen at Hotel Park, under the beautiful moonlight with a view of Gifu Castle. Tetsuji was very flexible, personable & easy to understand. Highly recommended. view more
Fujiko is, quite simply, the best guide we have ever used -- anywhere. She grew up on the island -- and runs a small farm. She knows Sado Island like the back of her hand. She speaks very good English. But, the best part is that Fujiko avoided the tourist traps. She took us to unusual and interesting places - including an impromptu picnic high up in the mountains. That was the highlight of our entire trip to Japan. We would highly recommend using Fujiko as a tour guide on Sado Island. view more

Coming to Japan as a first-timer, I was nervous about navigating the Tokyo's public transportation systems and taking in a culture I have never personally been immersed in. Through going around Tokyo with Yuki, I was not only able to overcome the initial anxiety, but also gain a new perspective on Japan that I would otherwise have missed out on had I went alone. Yuki was an excellent communicator, took into ... view more
She was on time (or even too early) at the meeting point. Additionally, her English is very good and she is completely flexible in regards of the tour design. Had also Lunch with her in a typical Japanese-Tofu-Restaurant. Learnt alot from Seiko about Japanese culture. Thanks again. view more
I spent 5 days with Chisato; 2 of which were spent exploring medicinal herbs and farming outside of Kyoto. Chisato is extremely enthusiastic and knowledgable about agriculture. She is always eager to share her experiences which makes the trips so much more than your usual run-of-the-mills tours. Chisato is a wonderful, detail-oriented guide that I would not hesitate to recommend to others! view more
