many thanks Shogo for your fatastic guided tour in Osaka. We thoroughly enjoyed your company.
Dear Somila, I am so much grateful to your wonderful review. You are so nice a family. Also it's amazing that your family are so intrested in Japanese culture and tried exploring things Japanese, like mochi pounding to the fullest. I do hope you enjoyed staying in Japan. Thanks for everything, Somila. Best regards, Shogo
If you're looking for a tour guide then look no further! My husband and I had the pleasure of having Shogo as our guide for 2 days. We have booked other guides on Triplelights in the past, and Shogo is one of the best: he's easy going, flexible, and knowledgeable. We highly recommend and would definitely book him again! Thank you Shogo for the photos, and also for going above and beyond on our Kyoto tour. We had a lot of fun, and hoping to see you again in the near future.
Dear Tami, Thank you for your rave review of our tours for two days. You and your husband were so friendly and lovely a couple to me, looking very much like on your "Honeymoon," that I felt as if I were much younger in my thirties with my old close friends. Actually I found tour guiding real rewarding. Thank you Tami for giving me pleasant days. Best regards, Shogo
We found Shogo to be very knowledgeable, friendly and he made our day trip special. My son especially enjoyed the Sushi, Deer in Narra and the monkeys in Kyoto.
Dear Patrick, I am so much grateful to your nice review of our Kyoto & Nara 1-day-tour. It's always my great pleasure to guide such a nice family trying to explore things Japanese to the fullest. I'm very glad to hear that you enjoyed the sushi at Arashiyama, Kyoto. Maybe you found some differences between Japan's sushi and Kiwi sushi, because fish for the sushi might be a little different. Since all of your family are sport lovers, I sincerely hope you'll visit Japan again. See you, Patrick. Best regards, Shogo
Shogo was our guide for 2 days. He is very good company and his knowledge about all of the sites was interesting. On the trip around Kyoto he took us on local transport including the tram which was a great way to travel around the city. Overall we recommend Shogo as the perfect English speaking guide.
Dear Dermot, Thank you so much for your nice review of our tours. I hope you enjoyed strolling in Kyoto plus Himeji. Also I assume that you had a great time watching Rugby World Cup in Japan. Hopefully you will come back for the next World Cup expected in Japan in future. So again, Go Ireland!!! Best regards, Shogo
Great experience, Shogo is a lovely and very accommodating guide!
Dear Polly, Thank you very much for your nice feedback of our tour in Himeji, including Himeji Castle, Kokoen Japanese Garden and Shoshazan Engyoji Temple. I sincerely hope that you all have got nice and long-lasting memories from Japan. Of course please keep enjoying Rugby World Cup 2019 to the fullest.!!:) Many thanks to you, Polly and your lovely family. From Shogo
Shogo is the best Tour Guide we had during our Circle To Japan 13-day Cruise. Shogo is highly organized and he planned our trip real well. He handed each and everyone one of us the JR pass, the timeline of our trip, and the other relevant information of our tour. We had a very memorable tour and enjoyed Shogo ‘s patience with us. I will highly recommend Shogo to everyone. All the best to sn excellent guide!
Dear Angelina, I am so much grateful to your hearty review. Your tour group of 3 couples from Kobe cruise ship pier were so warm-hearted and cheerful that our 1-day-Nara & Kobe tour was super memorable. I'm like "You all are "Gone With the Ship!" Anyway, time flies. So please remain to be lovely Tourmates forever. Thanks for everthing, Angelina. You are a super tour leader. Best regards, Shogo
Our day trip in Nara and Osaka was great thanks to Shogo san, he was very kind and knowledgeable about the places we wanted to visit which allowed efficient time usage in each place. Shogo was also very efficient in replying every time before the trip about any questions we had, which was superb and helped us take nice pictures at the beautiful attractions. We thoroughly enjoyed our time and if we need a guide in the area again, will definitely look for Shogo.
Dear Tracy, Thank you so much for your wonderful review of our tour in Nara & Osaka. Indeed it's always my great pleasure being a guide for such a lovely couple so interested in Japnanese culture, such as sake and mochi pounding (rice cake pounding) in Nara. Just amazing! I learned about beautiful Singalore from you, which renewed, my awareness of the importance of diversity. By the way I asked you to wave on your way from Osaka to Awaji Island following day. And in myself I did see you waving onboard a train, I might be still a little drunk, though. So another Kampai!! Thanks for everything, Tracy. Best regards, Shogo
Shogo was a great tour guide! Highly recommended!
Dear Rachel, Thank you very much for your nice review of our tour. I hope you enjoyed strolling in Gion, Kyoto's most popular Maiko/Geiko area. Also I'm happy that it was not so warm for this time of the year. Quite comfortable in the evening with a nice breeze blowing over a Kawayuka, riverside summer terrace. Indeed chatting over a glass of wine was great fun. Let me try beer, Rachel Special, next time. So Kampai!!:) Best regards, Shogo
Shogo was very informative, communicated very clearly and timely and was even better in person as our guide. He puts in extra effort to make sure we had an excellent time! He even sent us pictures after. Highly recommend Shogo!
Dear Dan, Thank you very much for your wonderful review. It was my pleasure showing you and your nice family in Kyoto and Osaka, including Kyoto's Iwatayama Monkey Park in Arashiyam and Osaka's Kaiyukan Aquarium. Very glad to hear it was great fun for you. Please give my best regards to your kids full of energy. Hope their dreams will come true. I'll be checking out a piano concert and a surfing competition televisied on TV. Thank you very much, Dan. From Shogo.
Shogo was amazing. He met us on time, provided an itinerary for the day and also some interesting facts about Japanese history. Shogo was very knowledgeable about Osaka and Kyoto. We had an awesome time. Thanks Shogo for 2 great days.
Dear Renate, Thank you very much for your hearty review of our 2-day tour in Oaka and Kyoto. On the 2nd day I was a little bit afraid it might be too warm for your lovely kids to stroll in Kyoto, because the day time high was nearly 30 degrees centigrade. However, they are indeed ice hockey lovers with lots of stamina. Hopefully you all revisit Japan (especially for your kids to enjoy Japanese food & for your cool husband, yuzu-sake) in the near future. Many thanks to Renate. Best regards, Shogo
My son and I spent the day touring Himeiji with Shogo. He was so kind to meet us at our ryokan in Arima Onsen, as I am sure we never could have negotiated our way to Kobe to meet him! He had everything organized and kept us on schedule. We saw the castle and the gardens. A wonderful day!
Dear Susan, I am very grateful to you for your writing nice review. It was another beautiful day, a little bit too warm though. It's good for me to know that you two are so interested in Japanese culture including Japanese history and local dishes, and also stayed in Arima hot spring resorts far away from Kobe downtown. I hope you rediscovered the good points of Japan. Many thanks to Susan. Shogo
Shogo was an excellent guide, and we enjoyed our day with him tremendously. He was communicative, well prepared, and very attentive to our interests and needs. Also, well before the tour, he provided very helpful information and recommendations about what trains to take to Himeji from Kyoto and back. We would gladly tour with him again.
Dear Andrew, Thank you so much for your wonderful review. It's always my great pleasure to meet so wonderful a couple. It's a little shame a light rain was expected on the afternoon. So we arranged our itinerary suddenly on the morning, by visiting spiritual Mt. Shosha first and Himeji Castle area later. Thank you so much for your cooperation. Also you reminded me of my good old days in Kansas in my 20s. Again I'd like to thank you for your deep consideration. Thanks for everything, Andrew. Best regards, Shogo
He pickend us, group of four, up at the cruiseport, right in time and showed us the best spots of Kyoto. Behause our time was limited due to the departure of our cruise ship, we had to cut the prorgram, but it was no problem for Shogo. He made optional suggestions and arranged everything. It did not bother him, even to give up lunch and buy a sandwich in the supermarket. Thanks for all, Shogo!
Dear Carola, I am so much grateful to your hearty review. Your group of 2 couples from a cruise ship were so nice and cheerful that our 1-day-Kyoto tour was very enjoyable for me. I also learned a lot about German culture, and valuable tips to keep healthy as well. Again I decided to work out at least 2 times a week. I promise. 100!! Many thanks to Carola and your group. Shogo
Great experience at discovering Kyoto Highly recommended
Dear Leonid, I am very glad you wrote a nice review about our 2-day tours both in the eastern and western parts of Kyoto. I really enjoyed guiding such a lovely family. I was deeply touched by your heart-warming consideration towards your family and me too. Thanks to your cooperation and beautiful weather, we were able to visit all the places in our itinerary, though there were so many people. I sincerely hope our tours were quite memorable for your family. Thanks for everything, Leonid. From Shogo
Shogo was very informative and it was a pleasure to spend the day with him. We learned much about Himeji and Engyo-ji. He is soft spoken and very respectful of my husband, who could not walk fast. He kept the tempo a little slower to help my husband. During the bus ride back to the train station, he gave us some suggestions for our next destination, which turned out to be so helpful, as I had not planned on them and my family loved his suggestions.
Dear Arlene, Thank you very much for your wonderful review. Being blessed with spring beautiful weather, I hope you enjoyed visiting Himeji Castle area plus walking in the woods in Shoshazan Engyoji Temple. Since your family, especially 花 san, has deep understanding of Japanese history, I believe you felt quiet and spiritual atmosphere up there, which aristocrats visited to come into contact with all the way from Kyoto far back in the 10th to 12th century. Thanks for everything, Arlene. Best regards, Shogo
What a wonderful guide Shogo is! He is extremely nice, very polite, well organized and very patient because I had so many questions to ask! He takes care of all your needs and even more...
Dear Suzanne, Thank you very much for writing a wonderful review while staying in Japan. I really enjoyed showing you and your husband in various historic places in Kansai area, including a castle, temples and shrines. What was quite interesting to me, among others, was that both you have a great interest in Japan's culture. It's amazing that you are connoisseurs of Japanese sake, often enjoying it for your dinner. I hope you will keep yourselves warm enough by hot sake especially during the freezing winter time. That might be a nice tip to survive. Thank you very much, Suzanne. So it's Sake Time. KAMPAI to our health!! From Shogo.
I cannot speak highly enough about Shogo! Our family agreed it was the highlight of our ten day trip to Japan! He was extremely organized, a wealth of information and kept our time very well organized. A must do!
Dear Pamela, Thank you very much for your warm-hearted review of my tour. I'm very pleased to hear that you all enjoyed core Himeji, visiting Himeji Castle, nearby Kokoen Japanese Garden, and spiritual Shoshazan Engyoji Temple. It's really amazing your lovely kids are so interested in Japanese culture, including Buddhism and even tasty unagi (kabayaki or grilled eel). I'm very sorry that a nice udon doodle restaurant which I wanted you to try was closed on the day. Now I'm so happy that I have lovely 2 grandchldren in America!! Thank you very much Pam. Best regards, Shogo
Shogo could not have been more accommodating to the needs of my family. We had a large group and a lot of different needs. We got a bit lost at the massive train station, but he got us organised and off the Universal Studios. He then came back to pick us up with a mini bus driver. We had to change plans because the children were so exhausted and he got this organised as well. A lovely man in tune with the needs of his charges. I would recommend him to anyone. Lyn Hodgson
Dear Lyn, I do appreciate your wonderful review. I'm very happy that you all, especially your lovely kids, had a hottest time in the Studios, a little bit cold outside in the evening though. It was indeed a "Harry Potter Day" for the Hodgsons, wasn't it? During your stay in the Studios, I enjoyed hanging around in downtown Osaka, Dotombori, and visiting a couple of historic temples and shrines. As you may know well, there are so many nice places to visit in Osaka. So I do hope you all come back to Japan in the near feture. Today I also had exciting news from Brisbane, saying Kei Nishikori won the tennis tournament. Go the lovely Hodgsons! Go Brisbane! Many thanks to you, Lyn. Yours sincerely. Shogo.
Shogo is the absolute best tour guide one could ask for. He was extremely knowledgable, generous, flexible, prepared and kind. He came with sheets of paper briefly outlining Japan's history as well as the historical significance of the sites we saw. He knew exactly where to go for an amazing ramen lunch and was more than willing to answer any questions I had about every aspect of Japanese life. If I am ever in the Osaka area again, Shogo will be first on my list for tour guides.
Dear Lisa, Thank you very much for writing so nice a review. The weather was perfect throught our walking tour, starting with Osaka Castle, tranfering to Todaiji Temple in Nara, and ending up in Dotonbori Downtown Osaka. I really enjoyed talking with Solomon majoring in physics. Since I'm a little bit interested in the universe, I asked a couple of trivial questions on board a train about say what will happen after its expansion. He is indeed a physics major. I should say "a real bank of knowledge." He's a great fan of Japanese culture as well, like Albert Einstein, including Japanese literature! If you had not organized the tour with me, I would not have met so nice a university student. So again thank you so much for every thing, Lisa. Hope to see you all again. Best regards, Shogo
Mr. Shogo was very patient with my inquisitive son. He was able to answer all the questions. He also stopped when we requested for a break coz my son gets tired easily. He even gave him a small gift!
Dear Lynette, Thank you so much for your wonderful review. I really appreciate it. It's always my great pleasure to meet so wonderful a family. Above all, your seven year old son is very interested in Japanese culture, asking me several good questions and even trying to strike a temple bell, which made me really happy. I'm sorry that I couldn't show him turtles in a nearby pond. Maybe it was too sunny for them to bask in the sun. I'm very glad you all came back home safe. Hopefully you'll visit Japan in the near future to see deeper Kyoto, Osaka, Himeji and Nara. I'm very much looking forward to seeing you again. Thank you very much, Lynette. Best regards, Shogo
Shogo-san has to be the best guide in the world. He is punctual, reliable, flexible, and organized. He was adept at scheduling activities for us, and his level of detail and consideration go far beyond what I would ever expect from anyone. The amount of thought and preparation that he put into our itinerary was amazing and appreciated. He really tries hard to minimize logistical concerns for his clients. My son lost his jacket, and Shogo-san allocated an unbelievable amount of personal effort in an attempt to retrieve it. Besides being a wonderful guide, he is a wonderful person. We are grateful to have met him.
Dear Gery, Thank you very much for your warm-hearted review of my tours to Himeji, Kyoto, and Shiga Prefecture. It's just amazing that all your family are real pro-Japanese persons, interested in anything Japanese, from culture to cuisine. I was like "Shame on me!" I found this Japan tour stemed from your memorable trip abroad with your family as a boy, including a haircut at an exotic barbershop. I was truly touched by the fact that after a generation you are trying to pass on your nice experiences to your lovely kids. I did enjoy talking with you all about various things. Your 5-year old "Prince Rascal" showed me "Rock, paper, scissors, show me what you've got." It was real fun. I really don't know how to thank you. I hope you all will go back home safe. I am so much looking forward to ... read more
Shogo was just wonderful. Our group of 4 had a long very busy day. He was waiting for us at our cruise port in Kobe. His knowledge of the train and bus schedule was extensive and with our many rides we never waited more than a few minutes. We all appreciated the many things he knew, not only about the sites but about the culture of Japan. He inquired if we were hungry, thirsty or needed the restroom and always was looking to make sure we were with the group. He took us to everywhere on our list and had us back in time. I would highly recommend Shogo as a guide!
Dear Carol, Thank you very much for your super hearty review. I'm very glad to hear that you all enjoyed visiting historic places in Kyoto and Nara. I really enjoyed not only showing you around, but talking about a variety of topcs of both the USA and the UK. I learned a lot from you all. Hopefully the weather will remain perfect so that you will be able to view beautiful fall colors in Kochi and Hiroshima. I wish you all enjoy the rest of your trip and come back home safe with a lot of monderful memories in your lovely hearts. Let's keep healthy. I am so much looking forward to seeing you all in Kyoto again. Tthank you so much for everything, Carol. Yours Shogo.
Shogo is a pleasant guide to have, he gave a lot of information about the castle and provided handouts for us about Japan's and Himeji's history. His English skills are very good, we enjoyed the tour with him.
Thank you very much for your nice review. I really appreciate it. We visited Himeji Castle and nearby Kokoen Japanese Garden. After a couple of cloudy days, the weather was perfect to visit these places. I told you that there is a magnificent German style castle on its outskiets, which may not be well-known to tourists. Indeed we learned several things Germany and Japan have in common as well as differences. It was really fun and a wonderful experience for me. Thank you very much.
Shogo met us at the train station as arranged, was well organized and very informative throughout the day. He tailored the day to our needs and schedule making sure we were back to the station in time for our onward journey to Hiroshima. He took us to a great udon restaurant for lunch. A great day!
Dear John, Thank you very much for your nice review of my tour. Thanks to your hearty cooperation, I think we were able to visit the main places in Himeji and come back safe to JR Himeji Station almost on time. I'm sorry that it was still humid all day long, and the pathways on Mt Shoshazan were a little slippery to walk on. You all are a wonderful group traveling throughout the world. I really enjoyed showing you around Himeji. Good luck. See you again. Shogo
Shogo was great for us. He was very accommodating for us and our 10 year old boy. We were able to explore Osaka Castle and the Horyu-ji Temple in Nara. We finished out walking the streets of Dotonburi and had a great lunch there in a popular Japanese restaurant. We made the best of a very hot day in July and were able to see some of the most amazing places that we could not have accomplished without Shogo. I highly recommend him to anybody wishing to make the the most of limited time.
Dear Ron, I am so much grateful to your nice reviews of my tour. It was my great pleasure to have guided such a lovely family. I'm also very glad to hear that you enjoyed staying in Osaka and came home safe. Your family were a lot of fun to talk with about a variety of topics. I remember your cheerful 10 year old son told me his wonderful dream. So now I'm dreaming. Some day we will be doing a wonderful space traveling with a lot of people. Yes! The name tag on a cockpit is saying "Captain T." Dreams always come true. 100 %. I sincerely hope this tour was quite memorable for your family. Hopefully you visit Japan again in 2020 Tokyo Olympics. See you all, Ron. Best regards, Shogo
We had a very well organized tour with Shogo. He picked us up at the hotel and made the day sucessful for us. He understood exactly our request and overcome our expectations. He explained all points of interest very well and gave also alot of history behind it, He accomanied us onn our tour in a very friedly and professional manner. We can strongly recommend to arrange a tour with him. Thank you Shogo keep going in this way.
Dear Dietmar, Thank you very much for your nice review of my tour. I'm very happy to hear that you enjoyed core Kyoto and came home safe. I think we visited the best places in Kyoto. I'm sorry that it drizzled all day long and cherry blossoms were in full bloom one week earlier this year, with the peak of cherry blossom viewing coming nearly to the end in Kyoto. It was my great pleasure to be a tour guide for a lovely couple. I had a wonderful time with you both, chatting about a variety of topics. I'm looking forward to see you again in 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Thank you very much Dietmar. Best regards, Shogo
