I'm Hide, a National Certified Tour Interpreter.
I'm new here!!!
Shall we explore Japan together?
I was born in Sapporo city, Hokkaido island. In winter, we would play a snowball battle in my neighborhood. My elder sister would always win. So, I became a cyclist. By the way, my elder sister became a professional ski instructor in Sapporo.
After college, I became a computer engineer who worked at such as a derivative market in an international investment bank.
After exhausted by that job, I had been working for a UNEP related project in the South Pacific for two years.
I used to work at a Japanese restaurant, cooking Japanese cuisine.
Making sushi to provide people is one of my amusements.
I was also a traveler/backpacker.
I would play the guitar, ukulele on the street or at restaurants in Eastern Europe for several months.
I used to live near Tokyo, one of the commuter towns adjacent to the capital city. It takes around 60 - 80 minutes from Narita airport/ Haneda airport or 20 minutes from Tokyo Disneyland/DisneySea.
Currently, I live in a small city among Osaka, Kyoto and Nara.
Thinking positively, it is the best place for tour guides in Japan!
Thinking negatively, it is just an inconvenient place located in the middle of nowhere!
Actually, I can guide you in Hokkaido, Kyoto, Osaka and Nara as well because our houses are there too!!!
I currently have two major jobs. One is interpretation. Another is translation specializing in IT.
I’m looking forward to meeting you!!!
Let's travel around Japan together!

I spent four days with Hide touring Nara, Osaka, and the Kii Peninsula. Hide was very professional and showed me the area highlights as well as areas less known. If you are going to Japan and would like a guide, I would recommend Hide to guide you.
Hide's tour was excellent. His knowledge of all the sites we visited was impressive, and he skillfully negotiated a better fair with the chartered taxi driver. He also led me to all the most important parts of each site we visited without delay. It was a wonderful day, and I am so glad to have had Hide as my guide. I would wholeheartedly recommend him to anyone.
Tadeusz-san, thank you very much for choosing me as a tour guide. I'm grateful to you and your patience with such a hectic one day trip in the sweltering hot day. It was my fault that we didn't visit Nijo castle. In the first place, I should have read your email more carefully. Also, I could have discussed with you and double-checked your will on whether to go there even though the main building closes on Tuesdays before ending the tour. I hope we see again soon and you still remember you have to visit my hometown.
