We spent two days with Michiko in Kamakura and Nikko. She did a fantastic job of organizing our time and sharing her knowledge and love of these beautiful places! It was a pleasure to work with Michiko.
Thank you for your kind review. I was impressed by your excellent empathy skills being based on your attitude trying to see things from a different perspective. I believe people like you make the world peace!
Michiko met us promptly at the start of our tour and showed the schedule and said she is very flexible and can move things around. This actually happened because of bad weather conditions and with our approval, she suggested changes that reversed the morning itinerary with the evening. It was a long and busy day and crammed with activities as per my suggestions and Michiko kept us on track and allowed a lot of time for us to enjoy each site. Though English is not her native language, we were able to communicate with her fairly effectively. I would definitely use her services the next time I am in Japan.
Thank you for your kind words! They encouraged me a lot. I’ve not been confident in my English. However, I’m a nationally licensed English tour guide and medical interpreter with a certificate of the highest grade in the English proficiency test. Come to think of it, I have no time to despair. I’ll continue practicing English everyday slow but sure to help my guests make their dreams come true. Again, thank you for your kindness!
Michiko is a heart warming person. She is very attentive , kind and generous. She took us to all the places we requested. She is fun and knowledgeable. We were happy to have her as our guide.
Thank you for your review. It’s encouraged me a lot to carry out nice tours for future guests. I’m on the Shinkansen to go back home from the final route check in Hakone (near Mt. Fuji) for the tour expected the next week. Hakone has an amazing “onsen”, hot springs. Let’s go there next time!
Michiko tries very hard and does her homework to prepare for her tours. Her lunch suggestions were really great and we appreciated that very much.
Thank you for your review, Veronica. It will be my great motivation for future tours! I always do my best for my guests. I hope you all have refreshed yourselves at the magnificent views of waterfalls and architecture in Nikko and a sea breeze in a Japan’s old capital, Kamakura.
My husband and I spent two days with Michiko and had a wonderful time. Always so cheerful and full of energy, she took care of us in every way. Her knowledge of the Japanese culture made these tours the more interesting, as was her choice of lunch menu. Thank you Michiko, till we meet again.
It was nice talking with you. The Kamakura shogunate was the country's first "samurai" government established in the end of the 12th century. The town is surrounded by mountains and facing the Sagami-bay on the south. That's why the place is called "a natural fortress". I think Zen temples including Kenchoji which is well-known for its quiet simplicity and fortitude must have supported "samurai" who need extraordinary powers of concentration and decisiveness. I hope you have a good time in Japan!
Michiko arrived ontime waiting for us at our hotel's lobby. It started out a light rainy day. This was the first day we were in Tokyo and Japan country. It's so different with how we live our lives in USA. So many people, so many trains and so many subways and buses. It's overwhelming, even I have been researching before my trip. Michiko gave us a good teaching how to use the train/subway system and the tickets, etc...winch we needed to purchase ticket for bullet train to Shin-Osaka on Nov-28th depart Tokyo to Osaka. By next day (yesterday), we were able to follow directions and catch our subways to couple places. Because we were not used to how Japanese live their lives, we were somewhat a little annoyed by various "rules", such as not supposed to eat and walk. Then when we walk in t... read more

Lovely day with sculptures, prints, gardens and a private music show! Thanks for the memories!
Thank you for your review. I just enjoyed the tour with you. I think you have a special talent on art. I was surprised when you told the meaning of the Japanese dance. It was nice talking with you.
We really enjoy our time with Michiko that has patient with all of us 5 people ... Thank you so much Michiko .. especially our time at kawaguchi go and Nikko ... have a nice travelling Ms Michiko
Thank you for joining my tour. I'm happy to hear that you've enjoyed the tour. I think I've done my utmost to help you experience the best of Japan such as visiting a beautiful and quiet garden and having "Kaiseki" dishes at a small Japanese restaurant in addition to viewing Mt. Fuji covered with snow. Give my regards to your friends.
Michiko-san epitomized professionalism by pre-planning our individual tour based on what we'd like to see in the Tokyo area. The pre-planning included her going through prior dry-runs of routes to ensure that we'd be able to accomplish what we prioritized on our wish list and within the allotted time. If we chose to linger more at one location, Michiko-san was flexible and adjusted our itinerary. Without her, we couldn't have seen half the sites if we had tried on our own to find and navigate to these places through Tokyo's extensive rail and subway system. Additionally, she provided some written brief background & context on our tour stops prior to the actual meeting - which was quite thoughtful. We were very pleased with Michiko-san!
Thank you for your review. I found a good dish called "sweet potato rice" at a small restaurant in Kawagoe on the day before the tour date. Sweet potato is a specialty of Kawagoe and I thought it was good for your stomach. Let's try it next time! And now I'm on the way to Lake Kawaguchiko to do the final route check for the tour expected next week. It's a beautiful day to enjoy the views of Mt. Fuji. Michiko
My wife and I met Michiko at the Nikko station and had a great day discovering the wonders of Nikko. Michiko was the perfect guide - friendly, thoughtful and informative. She gave us great information but also gave us space when appropriate. We would highly recommend Michiko for tours in Nikko and Tokyo. Thank you Michiko!
Thank you for your review. I just enjoyed the tour with you two. I was thrilled with the heavy traffic in the peak time of autumn color viewing. But we walked faster than the bus, right? And thank you for your interest in a Japanese sense of beauty called "Wabi Sabi". Michiko
She was very kind, and adaptable to schedule changes. She knows Tokyo very well and was able to point out information, such as history, customs and culture. Very pleased! Would book again!
Thank you for your review. It was really nice talking with you. Let's enjoy our third act of life, where we create value for things that we love to do! Please give my regards to your friends.
Michiko was a very kind and lovely person, as well as a great guide to have at Nikko, an area more geared more towards Japanese tourists than foreign ones. She did a great job translating and explaining the important historical sites to us. We encountered several rituals which we would not have understood had she not been there to inform us, and she helped make our visit respectful by guiding us through the customs and etiquette of each place. She was particularly helpful at the Imperial Villa, where she helped translate a number of questions we had about the villa's history to the Japanese-speaking staff. She did at times struggle with speaking English, but we were able to work together to find the right words and got some interesting context. We wish we could have gone somewhere a b... read more
Thank you for your review. You wanted to have "soba (buckwheat noodles)", right. You should have let me know in advance. Actually, I know some good "soba" restaurants there. But I'm reluctant to take my foreign guests to a soba restaurant and make a reservation at some long-established restanrants which serve good western dishes unless I'd had any special requests for lunch. Because soba could develop a severe allergy condition. (I have a certification as a medical interpreter, I have no intention of using it though.) Anyway, you are blessed with many things including weather. If it had not rained at the very end of the tour, I could have show you another good place to you!
After our flights were delayed due to typhoon number 19 and our one day tour had to be cancelled, Michiko generously gave up two afternoons to tour us around Asakusa, Shibuya Ginza and the Imperial Gardens. Very pleasant, accommodating and easy to be with, she worked with our schedule and made our day and a half in Tokyo truly memorable. Thank you Michiko for showing us Hachiko and cafe latte with our faces!
Thank you for your review. I was impressed by your modest personality and the great contribution to the society. I was really happy sharing a wonderful time with you all. Please say hello to your adorable K9s from Michiko.
Michiko was very responsive to our requests and knowledgeable about the Nikko area. We had a great day and I would definitely recommend Michiko.
Thank you for your review. I'm really happy you liked that area where most tourists don't notice. I hope you've refreshed yourselves! Please say hello to your wonderful children for me.
We cannot say enough about Michiko. She is an excellent tour guide! She designed our tours so well making sure that we made the most of our time. She arrived at our hotel with a beautiful smile and ready to hit the ground running - literally. There is absolutely no way that we could have seen so much of Tokyo without her. Her knowledge of the city and the subways is amazing. My husband and I most definitely recommend Michiko as Tokyo's tour guide. She is kind and very personable. We came to see her as friend in the very short time we spent with her. Michiko thank you for your time! My birthday cake was great!
Thank you for your review. When I met you two at the first time, I felt as if I had met my old friends. I really enjoyed the tour including a hidden sweet tour with you. Actually, I think it was tough tour for you but you kept going to the end. Victory goes to the person who can stay the course!
Hi Michiko, thank you so much for spending two wonderful days with me in Tokyo and showing me so many hidden highlights. I learned so much about the country, city, culture, Japanese customs and food. I hope we can explore some more when I come back to Tokyo next year.
Thank you for your review. The two paintings were so much fun, weren't they? Let's find something interesting from now on and share them next time. I'm looking forward to seeing you again!
We had a party of four and Michiko showed us around Tokyo for the day. We were impressed with her organizational prowess. We were able to see more than we expected and she tailored the tour to our specific interests. She was pleasant and professional. She excels in her knowledge of arts and horticulture.
I'm so happy that I've heard from you again! Actually, I forgot to say something to your mother. It is that she has brought up wonderful children. You and your brother have excellent empathy skills and can see things from a different perspective. That is to say, you are kind and considerate and very nice people. I believe these people can make the world more peaceful place. I respect you all!
We had a great time with Michiko, she was very accommodating and extremely friendly and flexible. She went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. We did Tokyo Day trip, Nikko Day Trip & Kamakura Day Trip with her, all 3 were excellent. Her warm personality and humbleness really made us feel very comfortable. As it was super hot in tokyo, she took taxis for us, and would not even let us pay. We thank you Michiko for excellent time Regards Avantika & Rohit
Thank you very much foy your kind words. I've learned a lot about your country's culture from you, Avantika. You two are smart people with not only excellent understanding but also warm personality. It was one of the happiest opportunities of my life as a guide to work for you. I'm very proud of having guided outstanding people like you. I wish you two a very bright future ahead.
MICHIKO LOOKED AFTER US VERY WELL ON OUR 2 SEPARATE DAY TOURS OF TOKYO, WE WERE VERY GLAD THAT SHE TOOK IN CONSIDERATION MY CONDITION FOLLOWING SURGERY ON MY LEG EARLY IN THE YEAR.
Dear RON, Thank you for your review. I'm really happy to hear you. Actually I've been worried about your condition as a person who had the same experience as you had. Please say hello to Brenda. She is one of the most wonderful ladies I've ever met. Best regards, Michiko
I'm so grateful i got blessed with such a pleasant guide as Michiko. She was so helpful in setting up my agendas as to what we wanted to see in Tokyo and also gave us multiple sample itineraries. She met us at our hotel lobby and and we are promptly off on our adventure. It was so nice having someone guide us around Tokyo esp the transportation systems. I think one could def do it on their own but it sure was nice having someone take out the stress of getting around. It was also very nice having her tell us exactly what each thing we were looking at was and presenting the history behind a structure/shrine. My travel companion was a Vegan and Michiko was so kind that she took time to find and reserve a restaurant for her without us even telling her to do so. When i come back to Ja... read more
Dear William, Thank you for your good review. I was encouraged by your words greatly. I really appreciate it! Best regards, Michiko
She doesn't show up for Mt. Fuji trip.
Quick request to go see Mt Fuji is difficult to meet in this rainy season. I think it would help you, but it did just the opposite. I'm sorry to hear your review, in spite of all my efforts. I was not able to meet your sudden request, " We'd like to go see Mt. Fuji tomorrow." If you'd let me know in advance, I could surely take you to there, using another route. Even though It was three days before. I had asked you many times "Where would you like to go". But I had not got any answer related to Mt. Fuji until just before the day. You know, this time of the year, rainy season, Mt. Fuji rarely shows up. I thought that you might not see Mt. Fuji from my best Fuji tour, Hakone route. And the main attraction of my tour to enjoy dynamic views of Mt. Fuji. from a ropeway is not availab... read more
Michiko was on time to meet us at Narita airport. She showed us where to store our extra luggage’s at the airport, oriented us with the JR pass and subway system, SUICA card. She accompanied us to Tokyo station and got us into our hotel safely. This was a stress free arrival for us since we have two young kids with us. We would have used her for our sightseeing guide around Tokyo but unfortunately it rained most of the time we were in Tokyo. But the knowledge she shared with us was great. Thank you Michiko!!
Thank you for your good review. I was really happy meeting your cute children and charming wife. Please give my regards to your wonderful family. Thank you Dondino!!
Enjoyed our day in Kamakura with Michiko-San. She was very sweet and kind. Very prepared and knowledgeable. My daughter and I had a wonderful time.
" A peaceful and precious time " Thank you for your good review and giving me a great opportunity to study the history of Kamakura from a religious perspective. It was also a peaceful and precious time for me.
I had never been to Tokyo before and had no idea where things were. I sent a message listing the things I wanted to see, and Michiko created a customized tour for me that far exceeded my expectations!
Dear Jeanne, Thank you for your good review. I greatly appreciate your cooperation that let us carry out the busiest tour pleasantly without delay. By the way, I like your class on "info-graph" that makes it easier to see things from a different perspective and that could help human society. It was nice talking to you. Please enjoy Japan! Best regards, Michiko
Michiko met us at NRT and walked us through the process of getting our metro card (Suica) and then a ticket for the Skyliner to get us from NRT to Tokyo. We visited a few shrines on the way to our hotel. We met on the second day and visited the Bonsai garden and museum then walked around the area visiting several bonsai nurseries. We had a lunch break, then went to Kawagoe and visited a couple of shrines, seeing a fire ceremony. Following that, we came back to Tokyo and visited Shinjuku garden and then a shopping mall to pick up an adapter to charge my laptop (no 3 wire plugs in our room). Michiko heard us talking about a place called Yakatori Alley, or something like that, so she took us on a walk through there as it was very close to Shinjuku station. Our third day began with a su... read more
Dear Guy, Thank you for your good review. It's only because of your cooperation that made the tour special in spite of the holiday congestion. I've learned a guiding principle for human life from you two. Your words will uphold me greatly now and forever. And I've also leaned the function of the V-shaped roof material. I greatly appreciate your kindness. Bon voyage! Best regards, Michiko
I booked a full day with Michiko. We went to Saitama to visit the Bonsai museum and then on to the Edo-period village of Kawagoe which was lovely. As a solo traveller I appreciated Michiko meeting me at my hotel. I found Michiko to be professional and helpful. I had difficulty communicating with Michiko in English which meant questions and discussions were limited throughout the day.
Dear Tracey, Thank you for your honest views. Actually, I felt the same way as you wrote. Sometimes I couldn't catch your English and I gave up deepening our communication especially about religion which is still deeply rooted in the people's lives today. But your review will be my great motivation for future tours. I will practice my English more and more and make every effort for better communication with my guests. I hope you've had a good time in Japan. Best regards, Michiko
Michiko was very kind and attentive. We visited many parts of Tokyo that aren't always on the normal tourist trail. She was happy to stop when something caught our interest and kept us on a positive schedule so we could see as much as possible. My family and I feel like we made a new friend here in Japan. Thank you Michiko.
Dear David, Thank you for your kind words. I am honored as a guide by your comments. I was happy to make the acquaintance of your wonderful family. Good-bye, and thanks for the lovely time. Best regards, Michiko
Michiko is an excellent guide She came to pic us up from Narita airport. It took a long time for us to take Sim card. She was very patient . We arrived Narita around 3 by the time we reached hotel it was very late in the evening she was with us all that long
Dear Aminath, Thank you for your review. Let ' enjoy the rest of the tour! Best regards, Michiko
Mchiko san was friendly and informative. She's so sweet and nice. We started off with the sumida river cruise which she recommended and it was worth it. She also recommended a halal unagi restaurant for lunch which was really superb as all three of us love unagi and it was the best unagi we've ever tasted. The visit to the railroad museum was awesome. Thank you so much for helping us out and she goes beyond her limits to help us out. Thanks for the most memorable trip to Saitama.
Dear Siti Thank you for your kind review. I've had a good time with you all. Hoping you'll stay well. Best regards, Michiko
Excellent knowledge and hospitality by Michiko. She's very knowledgeable, very patient and understanding. We enjoyed our trip to Akihabara and Asakusa with her. Thank you Michiko!
Dear Anita, Thank you for your good review. It will be my great motivation for future tours. I've had a great time with you and your son. Especially, the tea break with you at that place will become a pleasant memory in my mind. Best regards, Michiko
Michiko KNOWS WHAT SHE IS DOING! I do really appreciate the patience she has with us, tour was amazing she was so helpful to mention places to visit, food, and gifts stores. She was fast to reply to all my questions even do we are in 2 times zones.
Hi Gloria, Thank you for your nice review ! I'll try to meet guests' expectation. Best regards, Michiko
We have spent five wonderful days with Michiko seeing as much of Japan as we could each day. We learned how to navigate the subway system. Michiko taught us the “ Japanese Weave “—how to move forward in the crowded underground subway corridors. That skill proved invaluable getting from point A to point B. One highlight of our various tours was a visit to the Bonsai Museum. Michiko is a member of the Bonsai Academy and an accomplished bonsai artist who explained everything about this art form. I could not believe we saw some bonsai art that has been living for over 1000 years! One example of going the extra mile—Michiko got a cold yesterday and lost her voice. So, for our tour today she wrote out everything important for us to know in English on a pad she carried with her. She also wore... read more
My Wife and I had 1 day in Tokyo with the lovely Michiko - what a lovely lady! she was very informative, helpful, willing to listen and a pleasure to be with. We would certainly recommend her as a tour guide around Tokyo - we had great interaction before we even met, she listened to what we wanted and delivered on what we asked for. Michiko's English was very good and she was easy to understand, which is important. Michiko took the time to explain things that we didn't undestand fully and kept at a pace that was comfortable, even though it was very hot when we visited. Thank you once again, Michiko! :)
Hi Ian, Thank you for writing a wonderful review for me. I really appreciate it. It will be my great motivation for future tours! In fact, I was deeply impressed with your knowledge of Japan. I was so happy to share a pleasant time with you two. I owe everything to you. I hope I can see you again! Best regards, Michiko
Very friendly, knowledgeable and kind
Hi Tiffany, Thank you for writing a good review for me. It will be my great motivation for future tours! Best regards, Michiko
Michiko is an excellent, caring, and attentive tour guide. We highly recommend her. My wife and I were guided by Michiko to view the cherry blossoms in Tokyo and then visited a Buddhist ceremony. We communicated our interests with Michiko and she went out of her way to make sure we would have a great tour. If you want a great tour guide, please hire Michiko!
Hi Free, Thank you for your wonderful review. I really appreciate it. See you again. Best, Michiko
