Hi! I’m Michiko.
I was born and bred in a countryside near Nikko where is blessed with not only the gorgeous natural scenery including waterfalls, mountains and hot springs but also the magnificent architectures such as Tosho-gu shrine that is a mausoleum of Tokugawa Ieyasu, the warlord who took control of Japan and established the shogunate that ruled for more than 250 years of peaceful period.
Why don’t you explore the spiritual mountainous area designated as the World Heritage Sites with me?
After I grew up, I lived in Tokyo and neighboring prefecture, Saitama areas about forty years.
So I can show you around “Don’t Miss Sights” ranging from traditional and tranquil places to lively places in these areas. It is the best season to enjoy cherry blossoms in Tokyo and Saitama areas from the middle of March to the middle of April. Just contact me and join my tour.
I’ll try to take you where you want to go as far as possible and help you create the best memories during your stay in Japan.
I am interested in Japanese nature, history, culture and food.
Especially, I love Bonsai, potted trees that have condensed an ideal natural landscape.
Let's go on an English tour of Omiya Bonsai Art Museum and Bonsai Gardens in Bonsai Village with me.

Enjoyed our day in Kamakura with Michiko-San. She was very sweet and kind. Very prepared and knowledgeable. My daughter and I had a wonderful time.
" A peaceful and precious time " Thank you for your good review and giving me a great opportunity to study the history of Kamakura from a religious perspective. It was also a peaceful and precious time for me.
I had never been to Tokyo before and had no idea where things were. I sent a message listing the things I wanted to see, and Michiko created a customized tour for me that far exceeded my expectations!
Dear Jeanne, Thank you for your good review. I greatly appreciate your cooperation that let us carry out the busiest tour pleasantly without delay. By the way, I like your class on "info-graph" that makes it easier to see things from a different perspective and that could help human society. It was nice talking to you. Please enjoy Japan! Best regards, Michiko
Michiko met us at NRT and walked us through the process of getting our metro card (Suica) and then a ticket for the Skyliner to get us from NRT to Tokyo. We visited a few shrines on the way to our hotel. We met on the second day and visited the Bonsai garden and museum then walked around the area visiting several bonsai nurseries. We had a lunch break, then went to Kawagoe and visited a couple of shrines, seeing a fire ceremony. Following that, we came back to Tokyo and visited Shinjuku garden and then a shopping mall to pick up an adapter to charge my laptop (no 3 wire plugs in our room). Michiko heard us talking about a place called Yakatori Alley, or something like that, so she took us on a walk through there as it was very close to Shinjuku station. Our third day began with a su... read more
Dear Guy, Thank you for your good review. It's only because of your cooperation that made the tour special in spite of the holiday congestion. I've learned a guiding principle for human life from you two. Your words will uphold me greatly now and forever. And I've also leaned the function of the V-shaped roof material. I greatly appreciate your kindness. Bon voyage! Best regards, Michiko
I booked a full day with Michiko. We went to Saitama to visit the Bonsai museum and then on to the Edo-period village of Kawagoe which was lovely. As a solo traveller I appreciated Michiko meeting me at my hotel. I found Michiko to be professional and helpful. I had difficulty communicating with Michiko in English which meant questions and discussions were limited throughout the day.
Dear Tracey, Thank you for your honest views. Actually, I felt the same way as you wrote. Sometimes I couldn't catch your English and I gave up deepening our communication especially about religion which is still deeply rooted in the people's lives today. But your review will be my great motivation for future tours. I will practice my English more and more and make every effort for better communication with my guests. I hope you've had a good time in Japan. Best regards, Michiko
Michiko was very kind and attentive. We visited many parts of Tokyo that aren't always on the normal tourist trail. She was happy to stop when something caught our interest and kept us on a positive schedule so we could see as much as possible. My family and I feel like we made a new friend here in Japan. Thank you Michiko.
Dear David, Thank you for your kind words. I am honored as a guide by your comments. I was happy to make the acquaintance of your wonderful family. Good-bye, and thanks for the lovely time. Best regards, Michiko
