Hi! I’m Michiko.
I was born and bred in a countryside near Nikko where is blessed with not only the gorgeous natural scenery including waterfalls, mountains and hot springs but also the magnificent architectures such as Tosho-gu shrine that is a mausoleum of Tokugawa Ieyasu, the warlord who took control of Japan and established the shogunate that ruled for more than 250 years of peaceful period.
Why don’t you explore the spiritual mountainous area designated as the World Heritage Sites with me?
After I grew up, I lived in Tokyo and neighboring prefecture, Saitama areas about forty years.
So I can show you around “Don’t Miss Sights” ranging from traditional and tranquil places to lively places in these areas. It is the best season to enjoy cherry blossoms in Tokyo and Saitama areas from the middle of March to the middle of April. Just contact me and join my tour.
I’ll try to take you where you want to go as far as possible and help you create the best memories during your stay in Japan.
I am interested in Japanese nature, history, culture and food.
Especially, I love Bonsai, potted trees that have condensed an ideal natural landscape.
Let's go on an English tour of Omiya Bonsai Art Museum and Bonsai Gardens in Bonsai Village with me.

We have spent five wonderful days with Michiko seeing as much of Japan as we could each day. We learned how to navigate the subway system. Michiko taught us the “ Japanese Weave “—how to move forward in the crowded underground subway corridors. That skill proved invaluable getting from point A to point B. One highlight of our various tours was a visit to the Bonsai Museum. Michiko is a member of the Bonsai Academy and an accomplished bonsai artist who explained everything about this art form. I could not believe we saw some bonsai art that has been living for over 1000 years! One example of going the extra mile—Michiko got a cold yesterday and lost her voice. So, for our tour today she wrote out everything important for us to know in English on a pad she carried with her. She also wore... read more
My Wife and I had 1 day in Tokyo with the lovely Michiko - what a lovely lady! she was very informative, helpful, willing to listen and a pleasure to be with. We would certainly recommend her as a tour guide around Tokyo - we had great interaction before we even met, she listened to what we wanted and delivered on what we asked for. Michiko's English was very good and she was easy to understand, which is important. Michiko took the time to explain things that we didn't undestand fully and kept at a pace that was comfortable, even though it was very hot when we visited. Thank you once again, Michiko! :)
