Hello, my name is Kyoko. I am a National licensed tour guide.
After graduating from college in the United States, I worked as an editor for an international in-flight magazine. It gave me the opportunity to travel to many countries, including Europe, America, Asia and Mid East, to gather research for my articles.
I live in Tokyo with my family, I sing in a local chorus group and I enjoy cooking Asian food like Indian, Thai, Burmese and Korean food.
Being a tour guide for group or private tours, I get to meet people and learn about different cultures from all over the world. It has become my most favorite thing to do.
I am very enthusiastic about sharing my Japanese culture and hospitality to make your travel experience memorable.
As your guide, I will show you the beauty of Japan!

Kyoko was an incredible and enthusiastic guide for my four days in Tokyo. Her flexibility and willingness to change plans to suit my desires and interests made our days wonderful. Her English is excellent. Despite transportation challenges she made a day trip to Hakone workable and enjoyable. She showed me many places I would never have discovered on my own. I had quite a few special requests which she always met with capability and courtesy. My tour of nighttime Tokyo with her was also so much fun. I just wish I could have spent more time in Tokyo with Kyoko
Hello Kathryn, thank you very much for taking your time to post such a generous review even you are still on your trip! The four days we spent together were very special for me, too. We enjoyed so many beautiful arts and buildings in Tokyo and Hakone. And I was more than happy when I saw your eyes were shining when you enjoyed experiences, especially Okonomiyaki restaurant and the art museums! I would like to appreciate you making my eyes open to the beauty around me more than ever. Thank you so much for everything. I will never forget the beautiful Autumn sceneries we saw together. I hope we keep in touch and see you again soon!
Thanks to Kyoko, our trip in Japan was fantastic! She is knowledgeable, fun, and caring. Kyoko is more a family friend than a tour guide. She not only provided us a well-planned itinerary, but also helps us out with ad hoc requests. Travelling with elders is sometime challenging, Kyoko always check and make sure all the routes are easy to walk. Her efforts of ensuring the exits are the nearest, any escalators nearby etc. are very much appreciated. I definitely recommend Kyoko to anyone who planned to visit Japan!
Thank YOU and your family, Eva! I had wonderful and relaxing days with you and your family. I am happy that you felt that I was more a family friend than a guide. That's what I like to be. Your father, mother and brother are so generous and open to Japanese culture, and I was happy to show you everything in Tokyo. Especially your father taught me some of very unique history of Malaysia, like about Flying Fox! It was very exciting to know some important memories in the past. And thank you very much for your generous and sweet feed back. I will try to know every elevators and escalators at every station for your parents next visit! Thank you again for finding me for your guide!
We spent 2 wonderful days full of discoveries, new experiences and bright colors with Kyoko in Tokyo and Hakone. Cheerfulness, energy, humor and professionalism of our guide made our trip easy, colorful and rich of positive emotions and impressions. We fell in love of Kyoko, we fell in love with Japan!
Dear Victoria and David, thank you very much for your time to write such a nice review so soon! I am so happy to hear that you had a great experience in Tokyo and Hakone. And it was an amazing moment to share your precious time. You are a generous, intelligent, openminded and sweet couple. I am the one who fell in love with YOU two! I learned a lot about your countries and culture too and I hope I will come to see you soon in France!! And again, thank you very much for choosing me for your guide in Tokyo and Hakone. I loved every scenery we saw together especially the beautiful and perfect Mt. Fuji and scary Owaku Valley with our milk coffee. I miss you and David!
Our day with Kyoko was awesome. Kyoko is a wonderful, caring and attentive guide. She looked after us with great care. Her knowledge was excellent, she answered all our questions and provided many insights into Japanese traditions. We had a few things in mind we wanted to buy and she knew all the right places to go. Her English is very good. This is our first trip to Japan (from Australia) and spending the first day of it with Kyoko was the perfect start. Thanks you Kyoko. Peter and Kylie.
Mr. Peter and Mrs. Kylie, thank YOU very much for your warm message. It made me weep for joy and encourage me! Our tour worked excellently and was so much fun because you were so sweet, cheerful and generous. And your love and care about Japanese culture and food made me so happy and I wanted to show you everything I love. I am glad that you enjoy my company and found everything you want. And I hope that you will have a great experience for the rest of your stay in Japan. And again, thank you very much for choosing me as your guide. I hope we can keep in touch! Best regards, Kyoko
We had a 10 hour layover at Narita Airport . Kyoko met us at the airport, and despite a long line at immigration, and thanks to Kyoko's organization and knowledge, we were able to spend more than 5 hours in Tokyo visiting Tsukiji fish market, Asakusa and Ueno Park. We even had time to eat delicious sushi in a Tsukiji restaurant. Kyoko speaks perfect English and is very sweet, personable, professional and knowledgeable. We hope to use Kyoko's service again next time we visit Japan.
Thank you so much for taking your precious time to write such a great review, Anh. It was more than a pleasure to share your time in Tokyo. We have limited time but I am glad that we made it! It was at the end of a year, I was worried that Tsukiji Market was too crowded for you to enjoy. But I was so happy that you could enjoy it as one of Japanese culture. And the Sushi was very very good and fresh. Thank you for the Sushi lunch! It was my pleasure to see you and your family enjoyed the lunch, too. Anh, your husband and your sons are so kind, sweet and knowledgeable, I had a wonderful time with you, too. I am looking forward to seeing your son coming back to Japan:) Your husband also told me he would stay two weeks to see all charms of Japan next time! And I would be so so happy to be ... read more
