We had a full day with Richard, walking through Kyoto, as was our preference. Very informative and friendly person - Richard, who is an American with fluent Japanese, is passionate about the country and its history. Highly recommend Richard and hope to have him guide us again in Kyoto or Osaka. Joe Oxley
Thank you Joe, you and Annette were a treat. I hope you enjoyed your Samurai House visit, your time at the market and our almost out-of-the-way places, LOL. Look forward to seeing you again and if you have time to write on trip advisor and tell them you found me here on triple lights I would appreciate it
Enjoyed our day with Richard. He was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about Kyōto. Nishiki Market was a highlight where we did the food tasting. Having said that enjoyed the aqueduct, gardens and temples equally. The sake tasting was also very good! Thank you Richard for your time and expertise.
Whether he is talking about Japanese history/mythology or sake or food, Richard is a guy who really knows his stuff. And all this is interlaced with a keen sense of humour. We had a fabulous day with him and are happy to recommend him very highly.
Thank you Toni and John for a wonderful day. From the shrine to the breweries and then to the market, I hope your day was filled with liquid happiness! If you do a trip advisor for me, please let them know you found me here. If you need anything let me know!
OMG we had the best day with Richard. His knowledge of the culture and history was astonishing. His sense of humour resonated with us too. He was very professional and I cannot recommend him more highly.
Richard provided a great overview of Kyoto and shared his deep knowledge of Buddhism and history. I learned so much about how religion influenced the culture of Japan.
Hey Alvin, thanks so much for inviting me to be your Guide. I am happy you had a good time and thank you for the review! Kind regards, Richard
