Rick gave us an excellent 5-hr tour of several sites in Kyoto in March 2019. We thoroughly appreciated his engaging descriptions of the fine details of the buildings we visited, as well as his knowledgeable explanations of relevant historical events. Rick is very personable and provided thoughtful answers to our many questions about what we were seeing. Thank you, Rick!
Dear Michael, Thank you very much for your nice review! I was glad to have had the tour with talking various things with you two and had a nice time. I think you loved this nice city Kyoto and please come back in future. I hope I can see you again. Best regards, Rick
We spent two days with Rick seeing wonderful things in Kyoto. Our tour spanned the things that I expressly asked Rick to see and do, such as visiting the most important historical and cultural sights, visiting out of the way gems, shopping for artisanal chocolates, seeing life as a native would and experiencing the many crafts that the area is known for. We truly enjoyed our two days with Rick- the time flew by, and we are very thankful for all of his knowledge and guidance in learning about this most special place.
Dear Debra and Steve, Thank you very much for your nice review ! I am very glad that you enjoyed the tour and had a nice time. It was also nice time for me especially visiting Kyoto museum of traditional crafts where you found the nice thing by the artisan. I am glad that you enjoyed other spots and I understood that you really love the Japanese culture. I hope that the tour will be a nice memory for you and I can see you again in future. Best regards, Rick
Rick came prepared with a plan and information that made the day more enjoyable and informative than we expected. Having lived in Kyoto most of his life, but also having worked in the US, Rick was knowledgeable and was someone you could relate to. We had an enjoyable day.
Dear Thomas and Carole, Thank you very much for your nice review ! It was also enjoyable time for me to have had the tour with you two. I had a nice time talking with you and I am glad that you liked Kyoto. I hope you will come back in near future. Best regards, Rick
We (four of us) spent a full day with Rick in Hakone. The day was a little rainy but the sights were fabulous. What a wonderful city. Rick was very helpful in terms of getting places quickly and efficiently as well as informing us of things we would not have otherwise been able to find out. I would recommend using Rick to anyone visiting Kyoto or Osaka.
Dear Greg, Thank you very much for your nice review. I 'm very glad that you found Kyoto a wonderful city. I also had a very nice time talking and walking with you all. All of you are so nice people and that helped me a lot in touring Kyoto. I hope you will have nice time during the rest of your stay in Japan and hope I can see you again in future. Best regards, Rick
Rick is a very knowledgeable guide who showed a great deal of flexibility during the full day we had with him. We thoroughly enjoyed the time with him who put together a very intersting "mixed bag" for us. If we came to Kyoto again we would definitely ask for his services again. In the meantime we can only recommend friends to book him in case they travel to Kyoto. Thank you very much Rick for a wonderful day !! Britta & Carsten from Germany
Dear Britta & Carsten, Thank you very much for your nice comment ! I am so glad that you enjoyed the tour with me. I also enjoyed the conversation with both of you and it is my good memory to have had the Maccha tea, lunch, walking Nishiki market and so on. Also I was glad to know that Carsten is a marathon runner! I really hope Carsten will run successfully in Tokyo marathon on Sunday. I hope I will be able to see you again in near future. Best regards, Rick
