I was born and grew up in Osaka, later lived in Tokyo, then the UK and Singapore, and now I live in Kyoto. I have more than 15 years of experience working in a multinational corporation and now I am working as a national licensed guide interpreter, as well as a City of Kyoto visitors host guide.
One of my hobbies is travelling abroad and so far I have visited more than fifty countries.
Kyoto is the cultural center of Japan and has great historical importance. I can offer you unique experiences in this beautiful city, which can include visits to traditional Japanese gardens, ancient temples and shrines designated as world heritage sites, authentic Japanese cultural experiences such as the tea ceremony, sake tasting at local breweries, and exploring food markets. Katsuko arranged a wonderful first day in Kyoto for us. She helped us understand the temples, shrines, local neighborhoods, and the Nishiki food market. Thanks to her we are on strong footing for the rest of our visit. She was very informative of the history of each place we visited. She also designed a route that lead from one place to another seamlessly. She did it all with a smile and a great sense of humor.
Dear Jeri, Thank you very much for your kind review. It was so nice meeting you and I really enjoyed the time with you, especially the fun conversation with you during the tour. I hope you'll enjoy the rest of your stay in Japan, and hope to see you again some time in the future. Best Wishes, Katsuko Ozaki
We had a wonderful half day with Katsuko exploring beautiful Kyoto. We visited so many beautiful places and Katsuko explained their significance in Japanese culture. We learned many new things throughout the day. Katsuko was kind and patient with our children and found interesting things for them to see. She helped us with many suggestions for our time in Kyoto.
Dear Katy, Thank you very much for your kind review. You are such a wonderful family and it was so lovely meeting you all. I'm glad to know that you enjoyed the day, and I really enjoyed the day with you too. Please give my best regards to your family, and Dino & Bunny. I sincerely hope to see you again sometime in the future. Best Wishes, Katsuko Ozaki
Katsuko was punctual and courteous, and she was most flexible with our schedule. She took us to where we requested to see and gave us a lot of information on each place in fluent English. We really enjoyed the day with her.
Dear Dorothy, Thank you very much for your kind review. It was so nice meeting you and I really enjoyed the day with you, too. I hope you enjoy the rest of your time in Japan and most importantly your return flight will be on schedule. Please take care, and I hope to see you again sometime in the future. Best Wishes, Katsuko Ozaki
Katsuko is friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and and flexible. I had a really nice day with her when we first had a ikebana lesson at WAK Japan and after that we went to Arashiyama. But the most memorable experience was to view the bonfires at the rooftop. Katsuko managed to book us a special dinner plan to view Gozan-no-Okuribi at the Kyoto Heian Hotel which I think to be one of the best places to look at them. I really appreciate that she was willing to spend this special evening with me. Thank you Katsuko.
Dear Riitta, Thank you very much for your kind review. It was so nice meeting you and I really enjoyed the day with you. The time I spent with you viewing the bonfires is such a precious memory that I will never forget. I heartily hope to see you again sometime in the future. Warmest regards, Katsuko Ozaki
We were a family of four including two teenagers. We had a full day trip of Kyoto with Katsuko. She showed us Fishimi Inari, Arashiyama, Monkey Park, Nishishinjuku Market. We used the public transport but she made it very efficient. She is very knowledgeable about the history and told of lot of tit bits. It was one of the hottest days when we toured with her but she made sure we were comfortable. She is very soft spoken. I would highly recommend her without reservations. I will definitely use her services again. Thanks Katsuko for you help!!
Dear Premila, Thank you very much for your kind review. It was so nice meeting you and your family, and I truly enjoyed the tour with you all. Warmest Regards, Katsuko Ozaki
