Hello, my name is Yoko. I'm a government licensed guide. I was born and raised in Kyoto, and currently live in Fukuoka city. I moved into Kyusyu more than 10 years ago when I've got married. Meanwhile, I've lived four places such as Nagasaki, Kumamoto, Kagoshima, and Fukuoka.
My career as a tour guide started in 2013 when I lived in Kagoshima. I occasionally took a group tour for cruise ship passengers arriving at Kagoshima port. It's been a great pleasure to share the moment with multinational guests. At the same time, I feel like making more intimate tour with fewer guests catering to individual needs. Other than popular tourist spots, there are many hidden places where only local people know. Fukuoka, the biggest city in Kyusyu, is well-known for one of the popular city in the world to live, with its modern lifestyle and abundant nature. It is difficult to pick up some out of so many must-see spots. Please feel free to ask me whatever you want to do in Japan.
For personal information, I like reading books and watching films and dramas in English. Being exposed to books, films and dramas created in English for me is exploring the world without going abroad. I hope I can have a fun chat with guests over the topics. My favorite drama is Downtown Abby, The House of Card, This is us (I'm into it right now)
In my private life, I'm a mom of two children, a nine-year-old daughter and a seven-year-old son. Being a mother in Japan, I'd like to talk about the average Japanese family life such as education, social system, seasonal events, marriage life and so on.

We found Yoko to be very friendly and knowledgeable about Fukuoka and Nagasaki. We enjoyed our time with her and the effort she made to guide us using the local transportation. When she noticed some members of our party exhibiting some mobility difficulty she started finding stairs and elevators for us to use. When we were confused and not quite sure we could make it back to the ship, she took extra time to make sure we got there by accompanying us. She helped my wife find a "hapi coat" that mine son wanted and she even got us to the English Mass in Nagasaki on time on day two. Aside from all of the information we got, as we were walking toward the shopping center, we crossed a bridge over a river. On the next bridge behind us was a group of bridesmaids and groomsmen waiting for the boat with the bride and groom. She pointed out the boat coming towards us that had the bride and groom. Just then someone with the wedding party and some photographer rushed up to us. They gave everyone some confetti and we were able to let it drift down on the happy couple as they crossed under the bridge. It was a very nice moment that we would have missed out on if Yoko had not told us what was going on. An excellent high light for our two days with her. We would definitely recommend her for anyone visiting either Fukuoka or Nagasaki.
From out first contact with Yoko we knew we were in good hands. Yoko was always extremely prompt when replying to our emails. This was particularly important to us as although we have travelled many times it was to be our first visit to Japan and Fukuoka. Yoko assisted us in designing an itinerary that suited all of our requirements (party of 4) and we were able to fit quite a lot into one day. Yoko herself arranged a private car (great driver, very new and clean car) for us, spoke excellent English and was very knowledgeable when it came to explaining points of interest. We would highly recommend Yoko as a guide for those travelling to Fukuoka, Japan
We used Yoko during a cruise stop in Fukuoka. She was very responsive to any inquiries I has before departure and was very helpful in determining the itinerary for our 5 hour stay. The day was perfect, with a great combo of history, touring, and a local lunch. I would highly recommend Yoko.
My family and I truly enjoyed our time in Fukuoka and Dazaifu thanks to Yoko. She was flexible on itinerary before the trip. She met us promptly at our cruise port. Excellent English. We experienced Japanese culture, i.e eating at a traditional style restaurant for lunch. It felt like we spent the day with a friend of the family. Highly recommend!!
