Hi. My name is Keiko Hatada. I'm a National Government Licenced Guide Interpreter. I was born in Tokyo and used to work as a junior high school teacher over 30 years here. So I know about Tokyo a lot. One of my hobbies is Japanese history. Finding similarities in the world history is also a lot of fun to me.
Tokyo is a very attractive city with two very interesting features, traditional city with 450- year -old Edo(former name of Tokyo) culture and a very leading edge city with a very robust modern culture. I'd be happy to share either or both of them with you. I'm happy to arrange a tour according to your desires and look forward to having good time with you.

“ Very good and thorough guide ”

We were a tired and somewhat irritable group after 2 weeks of daily tours, and people changed the itinerary on her several times, wanting to do different things at different times. And Tokyo is difficult, navigating through throngs of people in subway stations and trying to stay together. Nevertheless, Keiko never lost her cool or composure, and swiftly switched from one plan to another easily. Her English is excellent, great guide skills, and interactions with people. Would definitely use her again

Dear Bob Thank you very much for your wonderful review of my tour. I am very glad to know that you are on board at last ! Talking about the tour, I was very worried about the itinerary because it was the last day of your two- weeks- tour . I wanted to avoid visiting the similar places as your last visiting places. So your members' suggestions were very helpful to me. We visited Tsukiji Fish Market → Hamarikyu Garden → Ginza. I was very happy to see that all the members enjoyed their precious time in their own ways such as taking pictures of beautiful flowers , walking around the peaceful garden , finding new vegetables at the market , experiencing the center of Ginza. I hope you will go back to your country with good memories and come back to Tokyo in the near future. I would be ha... read more

“ Tour of tokyo ”

She did an excellent job of teaching us how to navigate the city. She showed us the shopping areas, the imperial palace, the samurai museum and many more things. She found an excellent place for Rahman noodles that we all enjoyed. She provided many details into the history and culture and had the advantage of being a upper school teacher herself.

Dear Brannon Thank you very much for your wonderful review of my tour. As you visited Edo Tokyo Museum just before my tour, you had already had knowledges about Japanese history and culture and even learned Japanese language . We visited < Shibuya→ Sakurada-mon gate → Asakusa→ Ginza → Shinjuku >. It was my pleasure to answer your interesting questions. Thank you very much for your kindness during the tour. One of my regret is that I should have got more information about your tour in Japan before we met. Then , I might have shown you other places in Tokyo. Maybe next time. I hope you will go back to your country with good memories of Japan . I am looking forward to seeing you again in Tokyo. Please say hello to your sweet hearted family members. Thank you very much. Keiko

“ Excellent guide ”

My husband and I spent our first two days in Tokyo with Keiko, and we are so glad we did. Keiko is adorable and we had the best time. Her English was great too. Keiko showed us all over Tokyo and set up a traditional tea service for us as well. She helped customize our tour to fit in as much as possible in the 2 days we were together. She not only took us around, she taught us so much about the culture which came in handy as we spent an additional 7 days in Japan. I highly recommend using Keiko if you are in Japan. Just be warned, wear comfortable shoes as Keiko is quick and walks fast! We had a great time, it was a perfect introduction to Japan.

Dear Mindy Thank you very much for your wonderful review of my tour. You visited mostly must-see places in Tokyo where special displays for Tanabata Festival welcomed you. But you found much more , something very special . For example, you played the guitar in Shibuya guitar shop, bought special pick at Asakusa, experienced authentic tea ceremony in fancy kimono and served each other...etc. You enjoyed Japanese food, too, such as authentic Sushi at Tsukiji , Yakitori at Omoide Yokocho in Shinjuku, Ichigo daifuku (mochi with strawberry ), Melon pan( melon flavored bread) ...etc. As the result, you made the two days very special . It was my greatest pleasure to see that both of you enjoyed and experienced Tokyo culture a lot . I am looking forward to see you in Tokyo again. Next time I wi... read more

“ Whirlwind Tour ”

Keiko thank you very much for showing us Tokyo in a day, and for sharing your knowledge about Japan and it’s glorious history with grace and humour. We all discovered so much and had a great day !

Fear Effie, Thank you very much for your wonderful review of my tour. It was just a four-hour-tour, but we did a lot : Asakusa, Ginza, Harajuku. Each of you had specific purposes of this visit, and it was my pleasure to accomplish some of them. I hope I'd like to satisfy all of them Maybe next time. I am looking forward to meeting you again in Tokyo. Best Wishes, Keiko

“ Extremely good tour guide ”

Keiko showed us Tokyo and the rail system in a day. She was very conversant in English. Keiko went out of her way to please us by going to places we desired that were not on the itinerary without losing too much time. She kept on time schedule. She was knowledge about the places we visited and knew the rail system well so that we did not have to walk too many steps.

Dear Larry, Thank you very much for your wonderful review of my tour. I am glad that you and your families enjoyed my tour even though it rained so heavily. We visited Asakusa, Harajuku, Shibuya and Pokémon center. It was my pleasure to show you the place you really wanted to visit and see your families sharing good time together. I hope I will be able to meet you again in the near future in Tokyo. Please say hello to Yasuyo who was a typical Yamato-nadeshiko. . Best Wishes, Keiko
