We hadnt used a personal guide before and didnt really know what to expect. Tomomi was fantastic from the first time we spoke with her online via the message system. She provided us with all the info we needed regarding travel to the meeting location (from Tokyo to the Sea of Trees) right down to various options for trains, busses etc including timings that worked best and why we needed to book in advance. Tomomi met us right off the bus and instantly gave us a big smile and started telling us about our 4 hour trip. it covered all we wanted to see and more which was great. Tomomi is obviously very knowledgeable and passionate about the area she lives, but is also passionate about sharing knowledge, so *******ted a lot about the wider aspects of Japan culture, history and experiences as ... read more
Your review and the warm words that gave me will definitely be a great motivation for me to keep trying my best as the local guide. I really appreciate your message. I’m pleased that you enjoyed exploring the beautiful forest and the magnificent view of Mt. Fuji at the lakeside. I had a lot of fun chatting and sharing some interesting topics with you throughout the tour. I was envious of you as you two are really good friends and have traveled a lot together. I wish I could have such a close friendship with someone as you guys do. I learned a lot about your country and some British English words. The best thing about my doing this job is that I can get to know the people from different backgrounds. Thanks to your kindness and friendly manner, I could express my thoughts without hesitati... read more
We enlisted Tomomi for our one day tour of Mt. Fuji. Tomomi was helpful with ALL of my questions prior to booking. She appeased my concerns about us traveling from Tokyo to Mt. Fuji without a guide. She was able to tell me specifically the final cost of the entire day and helped in choosing the best itinerary. We chose the "nature" tour and it was the best decision. She met all of us (5) adults at the bus station and update the itinerary based on the weather. She even reached out a couple days before to tell us what to wear for our trip, due to the upcoming weather. She was very knowledgeable, her English is excellent and most of all, she made us feel at ease. We did the Ropeway at Mt. Fuji, took pictures, did a boat tour, we went through a bat cave and walked the forest, toured a local vi... read more
Thank you for your great review! It was a great joy for me to show you around the Mt. Fuji area and to see you having fun at each place we visited. You all were very friendly and considerate to me throughout the tour, so it was YOU All who made me feel at ease. I felt like we had known each other for years. The great success in your private tour was actually attributed to you! I really appreciated it. I’m a bit jealous of you as you all are so close to each other. Thank you so much for having let me join your family. I really had a wonderful time with you. Hope you come visit the Mt. Fuji area again!
We hired Tomomi as our tour guide for the Lake Kawaguchiko area for one day. During the preparation she provided lots of excellent recommendations of places to visit and things to do in the area. With her help we were able to narrow down our itinerary to places we were interested in that we could visit during a span of a one day tour. Tomomi is an excellent guide and she showed a lot of passion in her work in how she described the history of the places we visited and also how dearly she cared for the areas we were visiting. It also helps that she is a nature guide and also lives in the area so we can feel very much how excited she was to be sharing her home area with us. Tomomi has a very heart-warming personality and we got along great with her. We truly enjoyed her company, her gui... read more
Thank you so much for giving me such a good review and lots of warm words. I also had a lot of fun chatting and sharing the wonderful time with you. You are the lucky ones who could see Mt. Fuji around this time of the year because she is usually quite shy. I bet she really wanted to be a part of your memories you had in Japan! I was just happy to see you take lots of selfies with Mt. Fuji. You guys are such a lovely couple! As you were very friendly and kind to me, I felt really close to you during the tour. The pleasant time I spent with you passed by so quickly that I wished I could have been with you guys longer.. Thank you again for joining the tour. Mt. Fuji and myself will welcome your visit again!
There are not enough words to describe how much we enjoyed our time with Tomomi-san in Aokigahara Forest and around Mount Fuji. She is incredibly knowledgeable (literally anything we asked her, she had anecdotes, information, and pictures ready to go), and most notable - she is so KIND. She is so WARM and welcoming and a complete joy to spend time with. We learned so much from Tomomi - it truly was a cultural experience, an utter immersion in nature and tradition. We cannot recommend her more. Thank you, Tomomi-san! We miss your company already!
Thank you very much for your great review, Megan and Matt – san! Everything went well perfectly thanks to your consideration and friendly manner. I’m very pleased that you two enjoyed the natural beauty of the distinctive forest created by Mt. Fuji. The view of Mt. Fuji from the lakeshore was just magnificent, wasn't it? She (Mt. Fuji) also wanted to see you, I believe! It was fun for me to stroll in the forest, chatting with you with laughter. The time we spent together was quite short. However, it was precious and brought me a lot of pleasure. Thank you again for joining the tour. Hope taking a hike in the forest with me will be one of the unforgettable memories you would have in Japan.
I would recommend this Mount Fuji tour. Tomomi was a great tour guide. She presented the information very clearly and we found all the information really interesting. Tomomi really knows the area and has a real understanding of Mount Fuji, the sea of trees, and the entire area. Lots of areas/opportunities to take scenic photos. Tomomi is a great hiker, and took us into the cave and on a hike. As a bonus the weather was terrific, and our visit to the craft village was good. Our 14 year old dressed up in a traditional kimono and we were able to walk around and get photos of her with mount Fuji in the background. Photos looked stunning. Karen
Thanｋ you so much for giving me such a good review which is encouraging for me. It is a great joy for me to have helped you have a wonderful time around the Mt. Fuji area. It was a perfect day to enjoy the breathtaking view of Mt. Fuji from all places we visited, wasn't it? Usually Mt. Fuji is really shy and hides behind clouds around this time of the year, but she welcomed you! Lots of photos you took (Especially the ones of your daughter in Kimono! She was just gorgeous!) will remind you of the wonderful memories you had with Mt. Fuji. I’m very happy to have shared some precious time with you all! Hope you’ll come visit the Mt. Fuji area again!
