Hello, I'm Yumiko, nationally certified English-speaking tour guide.
I live in Yamanashi Prefecture, which is next to Tokyo and the home of Mt. Fuji.
I myself love to travel, find something interesting, eat local good food, and have wonderful experience!!
I'd like to make your tour enjoyable and memorable.
Mt. Fuji area including the Fuji Five Lakes has many nice spots you must visit.
Walking tour in Aokigahara Forest is my favorite. Cycling around Lake Kawaguchiko is also fun!
Visit to Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Shrine will inspire you with holy feeling.
Quick tour & tasting at Sake brewery are popular as well.
Let's enjoy together!!
I guide you not only around Yamanashi Prefecure, but also Nagano, Shizuoka, Tokyo, Hakone, and Kamakura. For example, as for Nagano, I guide you to Snow Monkey, Zenko-ji Temple, Matsumoto Castle, Daio Wasabi Farm in Azumino, Nakasendo, and so on.

Yumiko was knowledgeable, warm, friendly and we had a great time. All of our expectations were met, and more. you can’t go wrong with Yumiko
Wow!! Thank you for writing review! I also had a great time with you at relaxed pace. I hope we will meet again in the near future. Thank you very much. Yumiko
Yumiko is by far one of the best guides our family has ever had in all of our travels. She has a very positive, energetic, warm demeanour and is extremely knowledgeable about history, topography and other important aspects of our visit. She provides just enough information to make the visit very interesting but doesn’t overdo it. Her English is excellent. She goes out of her way to help everyone enjoy their day. She even taught our family some origami while we had a little down time. We highly recommend Yumiko for a fabulous experience.
Wow!! Thank you very much for your excellent and prompt reveiw, Lisa!! I'm so happy to be with you and your family. Let's enjoy your private tour with me! Yumiko
We liked the tour
Thank you for writing your review. I know you are busy to prepare for the very early departure. I hope we can meet next year again!! Enjoy your trip in Japan. Yumiko
Our overall experience with Yumiko was great. We toured with her for 3.25 days around Tokyo and the Mt. Fuji area. She was always very timely, kind, and respectful of our time. She helped us to create an itinerary that matched our interests and available time. She shared with us her great knowledge of Japan and the sites we were visiting. She helped to seamlessly guide us across the city from one spot to the next without us having to think about navigating the city. She adjusted our itinerary on the fly one afternoon so we could attend a ceremonial service being held in a Temple with little to no other tourists in attendance. She helped us to secure our reservations on the JR to travel to other areas of the country we would be visiting during our stay. Overall, Yumiko was knowledgeable an... read more
Thank you very much for your kind review!! I’m glad to hear that you could enjoy your travel to Japan, especially in Tokyo and Mt. Fuji area with me. It was a great pleasure if I could help you to make your tour going smoothly. We walked a lot, didn’t we? We could visit not only major sightseeing spots in Tokyo, but also one of the local temples. I believe that you were deeply impressed by “Goma” ritual at the temple. On our last day, you were lucky to see Mt. Fuji, even though it was in mid rainy season! Thank you for visiting Japan! I had a great time with you. Yumiko
We had the pleasure of spending the day with Yumiko and her driver whilst on a day trip in Tokyo. This was booked before our departure from Australia. Communication and answers to many questions were dealt with promptly and efficiently on every occasion. On arrival in Tokyo she met us at the Yokohama Cruise Terminal. Her warm and infectious personality was instantly appealing. She shared lots of information about her country and the culture and we even had a lesson in simple Japanese phrases. Yumiko was flexible with travel arrangement as some plans had to be changed due to heavy rain. Yumiko created a most enjoyable day. Yumiko suggested a lovely restaurant for lunch and we enjoyed many laughs together with lovely local food. We wish we had more time to share with this beautiful lady. Yum... read more
Wow!! Thank you very much for your great review!! Though it was such a rainy day, I'm relieved to hear that you enjoyed your private tour with us. Thanks to your good choice, we could move smooth by a private car. I was very glad that you liked soba noodles, beautiful tempra, and dangerous sake! I believe that strolling and shopping on the food floor (Depa-chika in Japanese) at Mistukoshi Department store Ginza was very interesting for you. I myself had a good time with you. Please enjoy the rest of your voyage safely. Thank you, Yumiko
