Hi! I'm Yukiko,Government Certified Guide and worked as Registered Nurse. Thanks to increasing number of repeat clients, referred clients and new clients, tour guide is my current full-time job.
I got National Tour Guide licence in 2015. I've expanded knowledge and a range of tour guiding area including Tokyo, Yokohama, Kamakura, Hakone, Mt.Fuji, Kawagoe, Nagano and west side of Japan such as Kyoto and Osaka. As I have a base of experience as a registered Nurse, I have a better understanding for elderly people and mobility challenged clients. I've been learning medical English.
I was born and raised in Tokyo. I used to teach Japanese culture to local elementary school students when I stayed in Canada, America and New Zealand for about a year and a half. My happiest moments with these children were when they look forward to another lessons every week. It was a challenging job but this experience broaden my horizon and prompted me to become an English tour guide.
If you take my tour, you will learn deeply about everything that comes into your view, get local information and experience many things.
I am a mother of seven years old girl. So I'd be glad to welcome families with young children and I can arrange a tour depending on your situation. Please feel free to ask me anythings.
I'd like to make your stay in Tokyo a real pleasant one.
Thank you, Arigatou!

We are a family of 3 and we enjoyed 2 days with Yukiko as our guide in Tokyo. We had such a wonderful time with Yukiko. We would highly, highly recommend her as guide! Yukiko has such a pleasant personality. She is very attentive and detailed in planning and created a great itinerary that suited us so well. She is great at communicating in English and is very knowledgeable. She explained in great details of the history and culture to us about the various places we visited. We enjoyed our time so much that we wished we had booked another day with her. Thank you so much for being a part of our Japan experience and We look forward to your service again when we come back next time.
Thank you very much for your heartfelt review, Mei! I'm so glad to hear that you enjoyed my tour guiding service for last 2 days. I'm always thinking how can I make the tour meaningful and enjoyable for my clients. Every tour is one and only, so I'm very happy to hear your review. I'll progress my guiding skills and expand my guiding area until we will meet again next time. Domo Arigatou Gozaimashita!!
Thank you Yukiko for a wonderful experience in Tokyo. We started planning by making a list of EVERYTHING we wanted to experinece in Tokyo. Yukiko helped us pare down the list, but we still experienced so much! She was so organized, knowledgable and patient. She gave us detailed directions when we used the subway so that we could explore on our own. We saw gardens, museums, shrines, and temples. We enjoyed 3 completely different styles of food in small restaurants and sampled items in the Tsukiji fish market. We also had a wonderful tea ceremony. Yukiko was wonderful about adjusting our tour to include another item, and in the process we were able to see sumo wrestlers preparing to leave for an exhibition! When I think of visiting Tokyo, I think of Yukiko and it always puts a smile... read more
Thank you very much for posting a great review, Patricia! Our 2 days tour included a lot of cultural experiences such as Tea ceremony, Japanese Shamisen music, making our own lunch at Okonomiyaki restaurant, fresh and authentic Tempura at small Tempura restaurant, and encountered Sumo wrestlers. I'm sure these authentic and real experiences made your trip more memorable and fun! I'm very happy to hear that when you remember the tours in Tokyo, you have a big smile. That is better marks than any words. Thank you once again, Domo Arigatou Gozaimashita!!
Thank you Yukiko. You made our visit one that we will never forget. You were extremely accommodating with my mobility issues. We would not have been able to do this trip without you. We thoroughly enjoyed having you as our tour guide. We would definitely recommend to our family and friends

I hope you'll visit Japan again in the future to see more sites. Thank you once again for having me as your guide. Domo Arigatou Gozaimashita!!
We scheduled 2 days with Kukiko (one for Tokyo and one for Kamakura), and had such a wonderful time that we added a third day in Hakone with her! Yukiko is one of those rare guides who makes you immediately feel at ease and in fact treats you as if you are her treasured guest. We quickly connected with her and felt as if she was part of our family. She is extremely knowledgeable about the sights and shared the histories and stories of the places with us. She had everything organized and mapped out on a map, that she gave us at the end of each day with personalized and detailed instructions of which subway car or train to use and how to find it. Her English is perfect, and she was always watching to make sure that we were comfortable and ask if we needed a restroom or water. She knew that ... read more

Yukiko was one of the best guides we've encountered. Not only did she know the city and restaurants and shops well, she was super organized and helpful. She worked with us before the tour to get an idea of what we liked to do. She made suggestions and tweaked and tweaked the agenda until we were happy. Then on the day we met, she had already printouts, Powerpoint slides to explain us the history of the sites we were seeing and explain the Japanese culture and answered all of our questions about life in Tokyo. She had useful maps to give us as well and made notes on post-its to give us directions to places of interest we may want to see later on. We had a wonderful tour and visited 3-4 neighborhoods, shops, and sights. We did some shopping and she helped to translate and made inqu... read more
