Hi! I'm Yukiko,Government Certified Guide and worked as Registered Nurse. Thanks to increasing number of repeat clients, referred clients and new clients, tour guide is my current full-time job.
I got National Tour Guide licence in 2015. I've expanded knowledge and a range of tour guiding area including Tokyo, Yokohama, Kamakura, Hakone, Mt.Fuji, Kawagoe, Nagano and west side of Japan such as Kyoto and Osaka. As I have a base of experience as a registered Nurse, I have a better understanding for elderly people and mobility challenged clients. I've been learning medical English.
I was born and raised in Tokyo. I used to teach Japanese culture to local elementary school students when I stayed in Canada, America and New Zealand for about a year and a half. My happiest moments with these children were when they look forward to another lessons every week. It was a challenging job but this experience broaden my horizon and prompted me to become an English tour guide.
If you take my tour, you will learn deeply about everything that comes into your view, get local information and experience many things.
I am a mother of seven years old girl. So I'd be glad to welcome families with young children and I can arrange a tour depending on your situation. Please feel free to ask me anythings.
I'd like to make your stay in Tokyo a real pleasant one.
Thank you, Arigatou!

It might be a short 2 hrs but a very fulfilling time with Yukiko. Dressed in her Kimono, patiently waiting for us in our hotel lobby with complete map & guide for our tour, she welcomed us so warmly. It was getting dark since we started at 4 pm but she made sure we could see all the beauty of Tokyo. Thank you so much Yukiko & to the beautiful origami you made for us. We’ll definitely look for you next time . With love, Marilyn , Ross & Grace
Yukiko was very pleasant and I had such a good time learning how to do some Origami. She was on time, knew where to get a good cup of coffee and had a variety of Origami pieces to show me. She was very effective in teaching and it was an overall very enjoyable hour and a half. We are meeting again on Friday for a tour of Tokyo and I’m really looking forward to it.
Thank you very much for your prompt review, Heather! We made many Origami crafts that can use for up coming seasonal event, Christmas. We used traditional paper called Washi that made your Origami craft more beautiful and special. Please enjoy to make more Origami that you learned from me and try to make new one! I am looking forward to meet you again on Friday!
We can’t recommend Yukiko highly enough. She communicated clearly with us before and during the trip and helped us make decisions about places we wanted to focus on during our Tokyo day with her. Her gracious, friendly manner and excellent use of English made us feel instantly comfortable and confident in her. She had carefully plotted our travel via public trains before the trip and was always willing to be flexible in adjusting the agenda. She used a variety of visual materials including customized maps to help us get the most out of our day, interspersing historical and cultural information which greatly enhanced our appreciation of what we were seeing. Yukiko came beautifully dressed in traditional Japanese clothing. She selected an excellent restaurant and shopping area in the Spir... read more
Thank you very much for your wonderful review of the tour, Susan! I really appreciate it. Although it was rained all day, I'm so glad that it never dampened your enjoyment of your time. Actually, we could enjoy and find a beauty of the scenery in rain at Japanese garden of Nezu museum. We mixed up traditional and modern part of Japan which we could touch with a wide range of experiences such as ritual of Buddhism, Children's life time event, cool and stylish arts and so on. There are many beautiful places in rural area that I would like to show you. I'm always welcome your next visit. Domo Arigatou Gozaimashita!!
We were meant to do a day to Hakone with Yukiko but had to be changed last minute to Karakura and Enoshima due to typhoon disruption. Yukiko could not have been more efficient and really took on board our needs. We were with 2 children (7 and 9) and she went above and beyond her duties, providing wonderful entertainment for the children on train journeys. She really could not have been kinder and not only did we learn a lot, see some interesting places but we really enjoyed her company. Cannot recommend her highly enough!
Thank you so much for your heartfelt review, Suzanne! As a big typhoon, we had to change our visiting spot, but it was a delightful day for visiting Kamakura and Enoshima island. As it is very important to have good and authentic experiences for especially children, I am always thinking how my tour will influence for children's future. I would like to provide an interactive type of entertainment during my tour as much as possible and will help to broaden their horizon. Thank you once again, Domo Arigatou Gozaimashita!!
Our party of three was treated to an awesome day around Toyko provided by Yukiko. From the start of the booking process to the end of the tour Yukiko made the process very easy through being very organised and knowledgeable. On the tour she was very friendly and nothing was ever a problem. Yukiko was open to tell us about her lifestyle and how the Japanese lived. Yukiko’s english was excellent so was very easy to communicate with. Two of our group needed gluten free food and she made sure this was provided and there was no isuues Yukiko has a warm colourful personality and i recommend her for anyone wanting a fun and interesting day
Thank you so much for your warm review, Wayne! It was a lovely meeting with you and your family. As I lived in your country before, it was very fun to talk about many themes. It was a very nice day for walking in the garden to enjoy the greenery and Chrysanthemum flowers. There are many nice mountains for hiking and climbing in Japan. I hope you'll come back and enjoy more Japanese beautiful nature and places next time! Domo Arigatou Gozaimashita!!
