Shizuko is the perfect guide for that person who wants to see it all and get intelligent insights into Japanese culture and points of interest on the run. We planned our tour in advanced; "Shizu" (She-zoo) responded promptly and made excellent recommendations. She purchased tickets / made reservations for us in advance and was right on time. In an effort to optimize our time on the ground, Shizu introduced us to the Tokyo subway system and the VERY efficient PASMO IC card (It's ultra-efficient for cashless on / off subway / bus travel; vending machine purchases; and more) which allowed us to sail through the lines. Shizuko is a force of nature; in addition to having the knowledge, skills and "road warrior" attitude to get you where you want to go in record time --- she is very knowledgeable about all things Japanese. If you stump her she will do the research and come back to you with real answers. If you have never been to Japan you are in for a tremendous awakening. While Japanese people are incredibly respectful, kind, and orderly; there are literally hundreds of thousands of people rushing through a very complex maze of subway tunnels, streets and intersections. It is very comforting to follow someone who knows there way around. I have no doubt we did one week of touring in 16 hours. We loved it and walked away feeling like we had a rudimentary understanding of Japanese culture. Shizu speaks excellent English and "gets" Euro / U.S. travelers needs. She is very sweet and attentive to every detail. I would recommend her without reservation to my family, friends and colleagues.
