Hello! My name is Takeshi. Please call me Tony.
I was born in Tokyo. I worked for Canon for more than 30 years including a 5-year assignment to the U.S. office. Before joining Canon, I received a master's degree in engineering in the United States.
After retiring from the company, I began working as a volunteer guide for foreign visitors in Kamakura and Yokohama.
However, I became fascinated by the beautiful nature of Nagano prefecture and decided to move here to the Yatsugatake Mountains, 1000m above sea level in Nagano last year.
Since then I go out to look at the breathtaking mountains, lakes, and shrines every day. I would like to guide you to these special sites and also share with you the Japanese culture in my guided tours.
I am a Licensed Guide Interpreter in English and a Certified Travel Service Administrator. My hobby is Aikido and I hold the 2nd Dan black belt.
Hope to see you soon.

Takeshi-san was incredibly nice, attentive, and knowledgeble. We had a wonderful day filled with the natural beaty of Hakone. Takeshi-san is very knowledgeble of Japan’s history and traditions. Highly recommend.
Thank you for your review, Alexandra-san. I was very glad we could see a beautiful view of Mount Fuji! Have a nice stay in Japan.
It was an excellent trip with Takeshi to Jigokudani Monkey Park, Zenkoji temple and nakamise, oyaki tasting, soba lunch, sake tasting, and dinner. Takeshi was very attentive to our needs especially since we come with two kids. He also brought us to a special restaurant for dinner according to our specific request. Overall trip to Nagao is very memorable and this is made possible by Takeshi’s guidance. Takeshi - I hope we have a chance to meet again in the future! Kevin
Thank you for your review. It was a very nice day with you. I also would like to guide you to other good places in the future. Hope to see you again. Takeshi
Takeshi was an excellent tour guide and gave great suggestions for my family. We took his suggestion to try open-fires oyaki and sake tasting. He was kind and flexible and provided great insight to Japan’s history and culture. We would not been able to cover so many places, and have an awesome day without his help.
Thank you for your good review. I am glad I could show you the snowy path to the park. Takeshi
Takeshi received us right at the train and very friendly/easy-to-understand in guiding. They were super responsive before and during our trip. Very responsible and good service. Highly recommend!
Afra-san, I was glad that I could show you beautifl Nagano. Takeshi
Takeshi-san is an excellent guide. His English is very good as he lived and worked in the USA for many years. He is clearly highly educated, and knowledgeable. He is well organized, considerate, and friendly. We would absolutely use his services again if needed.
Thank you for your nice review. I was happy to guide you and your family. I would like to see you again in the future. Please enjoy the rest of the trip in Japan.
