Thank you Yoshi san for your expertise in guiding us. Without your local knowledge we would not have enjoyed our day out as much and would have never known about the local places to visit and eat. The little place in Ginza we are at lunchtime was amazing. It was spectacular tempura. Our walk through Kagarusaka and the geisha district was fascinating and the Tsukiji Fish Market would so much better with you as our guide. We learnt so much and would hesitate to recommend Yoshi san. Thank you
It was a fun to walk and chat with you Kate san, Paula san, Zoe san and Sack san as it reminded me of the days when my children were about the same ages as yours. I hope you and your family will be met with sufficient amount of snow in your ski-resort in Jyo-shinetsu area next ten days.
Takano has has been able to flexibly organize our tour last minute around weather and transportation constraints and even arrange for the first snow on top of Mount Fuji!
I did also enjoyed the view of snow-covered Mt.Fuji from the top of Mt.Takao with you and your family from Europe. Please enjoy autumn in Japan.
Very knowledgeable on sake making and arranged visit to authentic places. Thank you!
Thank you for visiting local 180-year old soy source and miso brewery owned/operated by my junior-high & high scool classmate in Settaya district of Nagaoka city. I am sure that you and your friend have become two of the most knowledgeable Singaporean women in fermentation products of Japan. Will send you photos later.
The half day we spent with Yoshiro Takano was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. He listened to what was most important to us and accommodated our needs. He even guided us on how to use the train system. We were extremely pleased that we had him for a guide. I would definitely recommend booking with him.
I also enjoyed talking with Harry san and Charlene san. I am sure that your grandchildren are very happy with the souvenirs both of you have carefully chosen at Akagi Shrine in Kagurazaka.
Yoshi-san was a great guide for our 1/2-day Tokyo highlights tour. He is very accommodating, personable and extremely knowledgeable. We had a great experience and would highly recommend.
It has been a pleasure walking with Meg-san and her handsome husband from Maryland/DC. Please re-visit Tokyo next year to see some Olympic games.
Takano helped us design a wonderful day trip to Nikko. He was very organized and crafted a perfect schedule to include the sights which most interested our family. His attention to every detail made our excursion flow effortlessly. I highly recommend this knowledgable and friendly guide!
It is good to travel with a family from Colorado, who refreshed my memory of Rocky mountains. Thanks to extensive research effort by Jeannie san, we were able to cover strawberry farm and Kegon waterfall in addition to World Heritage sites in one day.
Takano was our Tokyo guide for 1 day. We like to use a private guide to make sure we see the "must see" sites efficiently and to help us get oriented in Tokyo. Takano was perfect for all of this for many reasons. He oriented us in the city and helped us get familiar with the intimidating but incredibly efficient subway and train system. He gave us good suggestions for our other days touring Tokyo and environs solo. He understood our touring style and adapted to it. We like to cover alot of ground in one day without getting caught up in the minutia of historical details (until we chose to return on other days). We did just that! Bravo Takano !
You must have safely returned to Canada by now. I trust you have had a very good and adventurous time using complicated public transportation system not only in Tokyo but other part of Japan as well.
Takano san was very friendly, chatty and helpful. He was well prepared, very punctual and insightful. And thanks for the ice cream treat Takano san😀. Definitely recommend his service.
It has been a pleasure traveling and walking with two beautiful healthy ladies to Narabi Jizo, Toshogu Shrine and Tamozawa Villa. Please come back to Japan to visit winter resorts in Niigata Prefecture during snow season.
From the first moment of contact via messaging to the day of the tour Yoshi Takano was extremely helpful. He provided choices for the tour and helped guide me through the rail ticket process online. The day of the tour he meet me at the station and walked me through the tour and verified I was ok with the morning layout. As we toured he kept me informed on the history of the areas we visited and what each area meant to Japanese culture. When we ran into one part of the tour not being available, he was very quick to find another destination for us. As I was only able to take a four hour tour due to my schedule I was concerned I would not experience true Tokyo, but by the end of the four hours Yoshi was able to provide a taste of Tokyo that will remain with me forever! We also experience a n... read more
It is good to hear from you, Troy san. You must have already returned to Canada by now finishing all your business meetings and other busy schedules here. It has been a real pleasure to walk together in Tokyo and cover a lot of topics and areas in just four hours. Next time, please being your family members with you and spend a little bit more time in Japan. Yoshi
It was very pleasant experience, very personal and accommodating.
Hi, Marina san, It has been a pleasure walking with you and your husband in double cherry blossoms with some stop-over at street food places and small café. Trust that you have had a good very time in Japan. Hope to see you again on your next visit.
Yoshi was a friendly and wonderful guide. We were able to move with speed throughout the city and cover everything we wanted to. He was easy to understand and his passion for Japanese beauty was great to be around. For lunch we had a great experience of sushi and Sake. We would use him again if traveling to Japan.
Dear Sean san and Kim san, It is.good to hear ftom you afrer one week. I have been wondering if you were able to see snow moneys. However, I was not your walking partner in KYOTO and therefore would appreciate if you could check the name of your guide in Kyoto again. I know that Japanese guide names could easily be mixed up. Cheers, Yoshi
We had s excellent day with Takano, as we travelled from Tokyo to Mt. Fuji. He had done lots of homework & had maps & an itinerary printed out. He even had a fun quiz for the kids to keep them entertained on the train. He tailored the itinerary to our needs & to our tight schedule. Communication was great & his English is perfect. Thank you, Takano, for helping my family make wonderful memories!!
Thanks to Renu san, who brought her perfect family and blue sky to Lake Kawaguchi from California, we were able to see the whole Mt. Fuji without a single cloud and were able to enjoy Lakes and Aokigahara Forest. Please say Hello to your husband and your cute twin children.
I had a day trip with Takano to Nikko and it was extraordinary. From calculating best transportation route to finding a great local restaurant, Takano worked in every possible detail to make sure my trip will be best accommodated. Also Takano had many adventurous stories shared with me along three hours train trips. I highly recommend Takano.
I also had a great time travelling together with Vincent san during our round trip to Nikko. You brought very fine weather with you to Nikko and told me lots of interesting and funny stories based on your experience in other countries. I know that this was your second visit and I hope that we will meet again during your third and next visit to Japan.
Yoshi Takano is a Japanese treasure! While most tour guides know where to go, when to go, what to order in a restaurant, names and dates of significant sites, I would challenge any guide to shepherd you and your group in a way like Mr. Takano does. His deep experience from visiting and living in over 40 countries as well as his professional experience from being a retired senior executive of many large multinational organizations lends his incredible insight into your day. From the larger tourist areas and sites to the nuanced "locals-only" establishments and secrets, his perspective helped bring Tokyo alive to me and my family. He dumbed things down for me yet in such a scholarly way that made my interest in Japan grow all the more. He tolerated my ignorant questions with flair. Even thou... read more
Thank you for your comment. You must have already returned to your home in Arizona by now. Hope that some of the souvenirs that you and your adorable three children bought in Tokyo surprised your other family members waiting your return in your home, just like your gift item “ONE DOZEN Rattlesnake Eggs” from Arizona desert surprised me when I opened the envelop. Please bring other family members to Tokyo as well.
Great guide, very flexible and knows a lot about Japan and Tokyo!
I enjoyed nature and hiking with Tarak san, his lovely wife and two children in wooded area of western Tokyo. Hope to see you all again when you come back to Japan sometime in the future.
We had a really nice tour with Takano. He was punctual, flexible, and easy to talk to. He really cared about us having a good time and went out of his way to recommend other things to do on our next half day on our own. He’s such a nice guy, and I’d definitely recommend him to anyone visiting Tokyo!
I enjoyed visiting Mt.Fuji and Aokigahara Forest with Lara-san and her bright daughter. Please come back to Japan to see, to east and to experience something new with your family members again.
Takano was very helpful. He knew exactly where to take us knowing that we were already pressed for time. Even our lunch was well selected according to what we wanted.
I enjoyed being with Maria-san and her family members including a little young handsome man and two lovely ladies. I will send you several family photos taken by my Canon later.
