Toshiaki-san was very helpfull in Osaka. He take us to Osaka castle and Dotonburi. He knows well about Osaka. We had a great time with Toshiaki-san.
I dont want to be unfair to this person as he was a nice man and spoke decent english, however his navigation of the city and his knowledge of the imperial palace seemed limited to what was written on the placards. He did take us to the sake museum which was high on our priority list but really didnt add anything to the visit other than what was on the placards. He brought us to the shrine at Fushimi Inari and did know quite a bit about Shinto but not so much about the shrine itself, he did take the time to google the answers to the questions he couldnt answer. He took good photos of us and sent them promptly. Overall we were underwhelmed with his guiding and I am not sure I would reccomend using him
I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews but I would not recommend Toshiaki for anyone seeking to explore the outer areas of Kyoto. He lacked knowledge, or the ability to share it, about the areas we visited. He moved too slowly and spent much of our time stopping to take his own travel photos. Rather on the expensive side, this was not a pleasant use of our time or money. Sorry Toshiaki-san.
