Excellent communication and half day tour with Mayumi. We were able to go through Peace Park museum, Atomic Dome, Hiroshima Castle and glean tons of interesting information from Mayumi's expertise in the city. Especially neat was a trip to the elementary school museum where there were post bombing messages recovered from underneath the walls.
Dear Steve. Thank you very much for your generous review. I had a wonderful time thanks to you and Patrick. I never knew that the Peace Museum is that quiet and calm before 9 am (chuckle)....New finding. Usually I go there during the daytime when it is very crowded. Hope you continue a wonderful travel throughout Japan. All the best, Mayumi
Mayumi had an amazing knowledge of Hiroshima and gave us information and experience at sights we would never have received on our own. She is a very gentle sole and was very kind and considerate - to give my husband and I the right amount of time to look at the peace museum Mayumi offered to make paper cranes with our young daughters. While they experienced many of the a-bomb artifacts, some of them were too horrific. Mayumi knew exactly how to manage our family experience
Dear Mechelle, I very much appreciate your heartwarming message. I was so fortunate to be able to spend some time with a wonderful family like yours. You are so lucky to have such beautiful and smart girls. They are just adorable. I just dream of the world where all the children can live in peace. Sol...how is the snow over there? Enjoy skiing very much? Did you have a chance to see monkeys bathing in hot springs, LoL. Please have lots of fun with the girls in cold & cool Japan!! Thank you so much. Mayumi
Well worth engaging a guide like Mayumi. We got to fit in alot in the one day, and see things that most people wouldn't know about or see. She was very knowledgeable and friendly. Miyajima island is definitely worth the visit, and Hiroshima of course is a must and is a real eye opener - very heart wrenching. And Mayumi got us seats at one of Hiroshima's best restaurants that night, where there is usually a long line of people waiting outside :) Thanks Mayumi :)
Thank you very much, Ben. You are my very first reviewer in 2019. It was fun and great when I was spending time together with you and your cool friend. And I really admire your unquenchable thirst for discovery or daring attitude toward something new (wired?) especially FOOD. Raw Horse meat, Chicken Sashimi, Whale, Narezushi…. you said you even tried Salamander here….Wow, I’ve never had none of them yet in my life except whale meat. Did you finally try Natto you bought and kept in the fridge of your hotel? (chuckle) Hope your wife are happy with a good luck charm you kindly bought at the shrine, wishing her good pregnancy and delivery. Parenthood is one of the best but challenging journeys in life. Enjoy the ride. May your new world as a daddy be filled with love. All the best! Thank ... read more
Mayumi was an excellent guide for my family and I in Hiroshima. She was honest about what we could do in the time allotted and was very insightful throughout the tour. She was thoughtful when it came to my elderly parents by making sure they could find seats on trains and the ferry. She provided both historical knowledge but also answered all of my questions regarding daily life in today’s Japanese culture.
Dear Brian. I very much appreciate your review. I am so grateful for your kindness. I believe your parents had a lovely time with fantastic sons here in Japan. It is my pleasure if I could be of even a little help for your big family travel. Please give my best regards to your wonderful family members. With gratitude, Mayumi
Mayumi was a great guide. She was knowledgeable and flexible with our plans. She was well prepared with hand outs, maps and pictures. She made our day in Hiroshima very enjoyable while giving us an insight to the city. Thank you Mayumi! Sincerely, Maylin Miro
Dear Maylin. I very much appreciate your thoughtful comment. Hope tons of the pictures you took in Japan and Hiroshima will enable you students to understand actual Japan and Japanese people. Thank you very much. Wish you and your family a Merry Christmas! Best, Mayumi
