Thankyou Takako for a wonderful day out . You helped me to learn so much about the beauty of Japanese gardens, Japanese tea ceremony, Sumo wrestling and other Japanese traditions. You introduced me to the train and subway systems in Tokyo and some beautiful Japanese food. I would recommend you talk with Takako if you have never been to Tokyo as she is a wonderful guide.
My family and I are so grateful for the guide service of Takako-san. She speaks english well which is very important. She is well-informed of the spots that we visited that made our visits interesting. She is kind, polite and motherly as she thinks of us first before herself. She has more energy than any of us inspite her age as she was willing to cover all the places we suggested, it was us who surrendered the walking hahaha 🤗. By the end of the day, we let her go home ahead of us but she insisted to stay and made sure we got the right train ride back to our stay. Overall, it was a productive and wonderful experience with her. Thank you Kako-san! Until we meet again.
Our first day in tokyo we had Takako show us around. It was perfect as she was able to show us how to use the subway and book our tickets to Nikko. Very friendly and adapted to what we wanted to do. Would highly recommend her as a guide.Thank you Takako for an enjoyable day.
Takako is a friendly, knowledgeable, and organized guide. We met as scheduled and she went over a printed itinerary before we started. Our Tokyo city included Tsukiji Fish Market, Hamarikyu Garden, Asakusa Sensoji Temple, and the Meiji Shrine as well as a break for lunch. An unexpected bonus was a river cruise from Hamarikyu Garden to Asakusa. We thoroughly enjoyed our day and would ask Takako again if we had to do it over.
Takako is knowledgeable of the Tokyo area and she plans her tours well. We hired her for two days and we saw a variety of places. We had an enjoyable time.
My wife and I greatly enjoyed our tour with Takako. We joined her on our first day in Japan and Tokyo. Tatako met us right on time at the hotel. From there she took us to the subway where she showed us how to purchase tickets, how the system worked etc,. From there we took the subway to the Tokyo Fish Market. We had an excellent tour of the Tokyo fish market and then went for a nice Japanese lunch together. Following that, and based upon our prior email request, Takako took us to see the beautiful Imperial Palace. Tatako answered all of our questions, took photographs, pointed out things of interest and kept up a nice steady pace. Tatako is a sweet person who has a very nice happy demeanour and a good sense of humour. Being as my wife is very interested in the kimono, Takako kindly agreed to wear her kimono for our tour, So that was very nice. Thank you Takako san for making our first day in Japan so interesting and enjoyable. It was so nice to meet you and to spend our time with you. You provided us with happy memories of Tokyo and Japan - thankyou! Roger and a Rosemary.
Our day with Takako was fantastic! What incredible energy this woman has! She took us all over Tokyo based on the itinerary we agreed upon, but spontaneously threw in unexpected experiences along the way that went above and beyond. She took us to see “piss alley” — a narrow street with tiny yakatori bars — and then we made an impromptu stop at one she knew and had a great time together there! What a nice, warm and classy lady. We highly recommend her. And she gave us a lovely gift at the end of our tour that was most generous and thoughtful. Thank you, Takako!!! Cheryl & Amir from New York, USA.
We spent our first day in Tokyo with Takako and could not recommend it more highly. She gave us a wonderful overview of some of the sites of this vast city. The day was a good blend of the old and the new and we had a lovely lunch in a small restaurant. We left our day with lots of history, some local etiquette and confidence to use the Metro and buy tickets on our own. A wonderful introduction to this city. Thank you Takako!!
Takako was so sweet and lovely to spend time with
Our group of 14 people had a wonderful time with Takako. Even with a big group Takako managed it very well in the subway with lots of crowds. The lunch which Takako had reserved in advance was super delicious, we had a private japanese style room which made an unique experience too! Thank you Takako and hope to see you again if we'll be in Tokyo Natalie
I enjoyed the pleasure of Takako Takata’ guidance for three days in Tokyo. We put in nearly 90,000 steps and visited at least a dozen major sights. The first two days we explored the primary tourist sights of the city…Tsukiji Fish Market, where I was able to sample fruits and seafood I’ve never even heard of before; Kabukiza theatre where we saw an authentic kabuki performance; then on to Ginza and Asakusa to marvel at the Sensoji shrine. Day two we saw more spectacular sights. All the while Takaka kept a gentle pace and always taking time to answer questions and explain the history, the architecture or to simply point out unique features of each location so that I could fully appreciate the magnitude. Day three we took a train out to explore Tokyo’s beautiful bay area. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience and a fantastic way to immerse myself in the beauty of Tokyo. I highly recommend Takako Takata as a guide!
Takako was fabulous. Excellent email communication. She took my elderly mother on a wonderful day tour of Tokyo and then arranged her transfer to Narita Airport at the end of the day. Really appreciated the photos she sent me of their day together.
Takako went above and beyond her role to show us Tokyo. She was very flexible and accommodated us such that we could see all that we wanted. She did not rush us at all. All in all a very pleasant and informative tour. She is so sweet that she even bought a birthday present for my daughter. Thank you, Takako!!
A great tour with the charming Takako. We covered a lot of locations and learnt so much about the sights and life in Tokyo. Takako was a wonderful guide and her knowledge and insight gave us so much more than a large guided tour or a head down in a guidebook experience. We got to experience tasting at the fish market, and the stores around Tokyo. And lots of special one-off moments such as tasting sake from Japanese lacquer bowls. I thoroughly enjoyed our day in Tokyo with Takako and would highly recommend her. Takako-san - thank you very much
TakaKo was very knowledgeable and showed us many things that we would not have seen otherwise. We enjoyed our time spent with her and appreciated her giving us a glimpse of Japanese life. Lunch with her was like having lunch with family. Thank you so much TakaKo!
Takako is an excellent guide who went out of her way to make my day with her productive and enjoyable. She has a spectacular knowledge of Tokyo, and was able to incorporate all of the activities and places that I wanted to see, in one day. She introduced me to things that I would have ordinarily glossed over. For instance, we went to the Meji Shrine, which most tourists visit. However, while there, she gave me the opportunity to have my fortune told by the "shrine maidens" --not something that I would ever have thought to have done there. We also went to the Sensoji Temple, where again, she explained parts of the Temple, including the paintings leading up to the main part of the Temple, that I never would have noticed. We also went sake tasting and kimono shopping, as Takako is an expert in kimonos, and she knew that those were two of my interests. We had wonderful "conveyor belt" sushi, which she knew I wanted to try. She knew her way around Tokyo's complex subway system, and took me to the beach front, which I didn't even know existed. Besides being a wonderful and knowledgeable guide, Takako is a pleasure to spend the day with, and has a wonderful disposition and unflagging energy. She kept going long after I had worn down. In short, I would wholeheartedly recommend her.
Takako was a wonderful tour guide of the main areas of Tokyo for my extended family visiting Japan for the first time. She took input from us before the tour, tailored it and gave helpful information along the way. She was delightful to spend the afternoon with and not only showed us the sights but helped prepare us to navigate the big city.
Takako was very patient and accommodating. She showed us places that we would not have found.
We met Takako on our recent trip to Tokyo. She was our guide for the 6 hour trip which included Tokyo's main points of interests as well as Shrines and temples. We highly recommend Takako as your guide to Japan; she was very knowledgable and took care of our family of 5. We covered every place in our list in a short period of Time. Our visit to Tokyo was a success, thank you Takako. :-)
Taka-san was a lovely and exceptionally patient guide. She accommodated all of our requests including helping us purchase train tickets. She definitely went above and beyond and we would highly recommend her services.
Takako customized a Tokyo tour for my wife and I that we truly enjoyed. She speaks excellent English, is soft spoken and very clear and has a wonderful personality. The tour itself felt very personal, was full of good background information and Takako fully answered all of our questions. When the tour was over, we felt we were saying goodbye to a friend rather than a service acquaintance. Ken & Jacque Boff
