Hi! I'm Yuko, government certified tour guide.
I grew up in Shitamachi, lower town near Asakusa in Tokyo and now live close to Tokyo with my family. I have two sons and prepare meal for them everyday. I'm a good cooker. So ask me anything about Japanese food.
Before guide job, I taught Japanese for five years at the special school for young Asian students who wanted to enroll at a university in Japan. After that I taught English to Japanese junior high school students at a cram school for seven years. Those experiences made me very patient and flexible.
I like to meet new people from different cultures. In my spare time, I enjoy keeping fit by swimming in the pool and sometimes see a musical. I like the Phantom of the Opera the best. I also like to travel abroad and in Japan. Tokyo is a very exciting place with both tradirional and modern cities. Let's enjoy Japanese culture, food and lots more with me. You can count on me. If you are wondering where you are visiting in Japan, please feel free to ask me.
I am really looking forward to hearing from you!

Yuko-san is a very dedicated, professional and fun guide. She was very attentive to details, very knowledgeable of the history and relevant information of every site we visited a long her. For the 2 questions we caught her off guard, she came back a few hours after the tour with very detailed answers, which was awesome. I would not hesitate to hire Yuko-san again in our next trip to Japan.
Thank you very nuch for your time. Very glad to read your great comment. You are so nice people that I had a wonderful time with you. You are interested in a lot about Japan which made me happy. I learned a lot from your questions which intrigued me with stone walls more. Thank you again for joining my tour. See you again.
I just finished five days of being guided by Yuko and it was wonderful. I connected with her months ago, letting her know I would be traveling single on my first trip to Japan and that I wanted a guide one on one for five consecutive days. I told her I planned to stay in Tokyo the entire time. I described generally the kinds of sights most interesting to me, including an interest in experiencing a variety of Japanese cuisine at lunch. She took it from there and planned with great skill 3 days in Tokyo, 1 in Hakone and 1 in Kamakura. Our days were fun, informative, efficient and covered perfectly the types of sights I had specified and we enjoyed five outstanding lunches across the spectrum of Japanese cuisine. I just can’t praise her enough. She speaks excellent English, listens and adapt... read more
Hi Bill, thank you so much for joining my tours and such a wonderful compliment. I am very glad that you fully enjoyed Japan. These five days were so nice for me too. Time passes much faster when I am having fun. You are so talkative and interesting person and always made me laugh with jokes. I really had a fun time. I learned a lot from you including jokes. Next time I am going to use them and make my guests laugh. On the first day, we were able to see Mt.Fuji in Hakone , which was rare and lucky. The mountain was so beautiful and like chinese ink painting. It seems like you are thoroughly enjoying Japanese cuisine that made me very happy. That is good that we were able to see wedding procession twice! Thank you again for coming to Japan, Bill. It was really great to see you. Best wishe... read more

Thank you very much, Ron! Tsukiji is a very interesting place, isn't it? You were so excited about evrey kind of fish and I had a blast. Glad that your wife was able to get reading glasseswhich she wanted. It was pleasure to have you two here in Japan. Please come to Japan again to have grilled eel and sake!
From the very first time that we met we felt so comfortable that she will guide and look after us for the day. This is the first time that we had a private guide and we were really impressed by her promptness, local knowledge, history, flexibility but most of all very well organised and prepared for the trip. We were also touched by her sincerity and always there to answer any queries and help with transport directions. It was a great day to remember despite the hot weather conditions and we really enjoyed her company. My wife and I would like to thank her very much for all her efforts and genuine care.
It was so nice of you to write the great review. I was just wondering if you were able to find nice clothings and so on during your shopping time today. It is unexpectedly hot in Japan now, however you are very healthy and walked a lot. You and your wife shared me with amazingly interesting things that I have gotten some new topics to talk about in my next tour. I enjoyed guiding you and the whole day flied like an arrow. Once in a life time opportunity! It was really great to see you two. All the best. Thank you.
If i could give Yuko-San More stars i would! I recently organized a private tour with Yuko-San and she was very knowledgeable and made my short visit very pleasant and provided a true authentic experience of Tokyo. Yuko-San really goes out of her way to ensure we were adequately warm (was winter and raining) and comfortable during our tour and provided in-depth information and the history in regards to the places we visited. Her Engish is perfect and had no troubles communicating. I would definitely recommend anyone visiting Tokyo to book with Yuko-San.
Hi Alex, thank you so much for writing great review. Even it was cold enough to have snow, you were so energetic and seemed to enjoy everything I showed, which made me very happy. We visited a lot of places on your short trip in Tokyo. Among them, Hamarikyu Japanese Garden with falling snow was most beautiful that I have ever seen! If you had not organized the tour with me, I would not have gone there on such a cold day. I am so grateful for that. Also the lunch was amazing one. Thank you again for coming to Japan and sharing your time with me. It was really great pleasure to meet you. Hope to see you again.
