Hi! I'm Yuko, government certified tour guide.
I grew up in Shitamachi, lower town near Asakusa in Tokyo and now live close to Tokyo with my family. I have two sons and prepare meal for them everyday. I'm a good cooker. So ask me anything about Japanese food.
Before guide job, I taught Japanese for five years at the special school for young Asian students who wanted to enroll at a university in Japan. After that I taught English to Japanese junior high school students at a cram school for seven years. Those experiences made me very patient and flexible.
I like to meet new people from different cultures. In my spare time, I enjoy keeping fit by swimming in the pool and sometimes see a musical. I like the Phantom of the Opera the best. I also like to travel abroad and in Japan. Tokyo is a very exciting place with both tradirional and modern cities. Let's enjoy Japanese culture, food and lots more with me. You can count on me. If you are wondering where you are visiting in Japan, please feel free to ask me.
I am really looking forward to hearing from you!

Excellent tour guide
Thank you very much, Ron! Tsukiji is a very interesting place, isn't it? You were so excited about evrey kind of fish and I had a blast. Glad that your wife was able to get reading glasseswhich she wanted. It was pleasure to have you two here in Japan. Please come to Japan again to have grilled eel and sake!
From the very first time that we met we felt so comfortable that she will guide and look after us for the day. This is the first time that we had a private guide and we were really impressed by her promptness, local knowledge, history, flexibility but most of all very well organised and prepared for the trip. We were also touched by her sincerity and always there to answer any queries and help with transport directions. It was a great day to remember despite the hot weather conditions and we really enjoyed her company. My wife and I would like to thank her very much for all her efforts and genuine care.
It was so nice of you to write the great review. I was just wondering if you were able to find nice clothings and so on during your shopping time today. It is unexpectedly hot in Japan now, however you are very healthy and walked a lot. You and your wife shared me with amazingly interesting things that I have gotten some new topics to talk about in my next tour. I enjoyed guiding you and the whole day flied like an arrow. Once in a life time opportunity! It was really great to see you two. All the best. Thank you.
If i could give Yuko-San More stars i would! I recently organized a private tour with Yuko-San and she was very knowledgeable and made my short visit very pleasant and provided a true authentic experience of Tokyo. Yuko-San really goes out of her way to ensure we were adequately warm (was winter and raining) and comfortable during our tour and provided in-depth information and the history in regards to the places we visited. Her Engish is perfect and had no troubles communicating. I would definitely recommend anyone visiting Tokyo to book with Yuko-San.
Hi Alex, thank you so much for writing great review. Even it was cold enough to have snow, you were so energetic and seemed to enjoy everything I showed, which made me very happy. We visited a lot of places on your short trip in Tokyo. Among them, Hamarikyu Japanese Garden with falling snow was most beautiful that I have ever seen! If you had not organized the tour with me, I would not have gone there on such a cold day. I am so grateful for that. Also the lunch was amazing one. Thank you again for coming to Japan and sharing your time with me. It was really great pleasure to meet you. Hope to see you again.
From the beginning until the end of the trip, Yuko's always gave us her best and very detail in everything, it helps us to managed and get a vizualized of the trip. Her English is also very good. When we 1st saw her, it's feels like having trip with your family, so warm, kind & wonderful. She really takes efforts to help us having a wonderful time in a very efficient way. I would really recommended her so you have a very wonderful trips. Thank you Yuko
Thank you for taking your time to post your great review. I had a really good time with you, too. It was beautiful weather. Glad that you had so many nice photos with your daughters. Tokyo bay is so beautiful and Tokyo tower seen from the ground of the temple is magnificent. You are so active and motivated and the tour was so tight that we had to be quick eater to have lunch in 10 minutes after praying at Sensoji Temple in Asakusa. Unbelievable! But we’ve done it! It is one of the greatest memories. Thank you so much Delisa and beautiful daughters. Hope to see you again someday.
Wow! what a wonderful day we had with Yuko as our guide for a day in Tokyo. Yuko met us at our hotel and we discussed with her what sights we wanted to see on the day, nothing was too much trouble and Yuko spoke very good English. We were a family of 5 adults from Australia and were hesitant to book with a company we knew little about however having a private tour guide was certainly a cheaper and more intimate way to tour the sights than going on a formal tour. Our tour consisted of a visit to Harijuku - the shopping was incredible, we also went into an Owl Cafe what a wonderful experience. We saw the Imperial Palace, visited a temple and stopped for a delicious BBQ lunch. We were so happy that we had chosen such a knowledgable guide who was willing to share her culture and the history o... read more
Thank you so much for your great review. I appreciate it very much. I'm very glad that you came to Japan and chose me. It was also a wonderful day for me. It's good to hear that you really enjoyed Owl Café and BBQ lunch. Tokyo station and the Imperial palace was so huge and we walked a lot without breaking. How fit you all are! Golden leaves of ginkgo trees were picturesque, weren’t they? I believe your rest journey in Japan was also amazing. You are active, cheerful and shared me interesting stories about your country. I was very happy to see such nice people like you all. Especially, I was impressed by your beautiful life in Australia that you fish in the Great Barrier Reef and have cockatoo and lorikeet flying into your backyard. Thank you again for joining my tour. I really hope to ... read more
