Patrik san, Thank you very much for your great and utmost review for me and selecting me as a guide for you precious tour. I am very much pleased that you and your wife enjoyed one day Tokyo tour. We visited Meiji shrine, Asakusa/Sensoji temple, Zojoji temple and Samurai museum. All these spots are deeply related with Japanese history of Edo-era established by Tokugawa Shogunate , Meiji restoration ,Meiji era by Meiji Emperor and Samurai / the history from appearance of them in Japan to the end of them. Thanks to your strong curiosity of your Japanese history and culture, I could well explain the important background of each spots. I am looking forward to meeting again in near future. Thanks, Kashima
We were on a cruise ship stopping in Kobe. Rather than take tours from the ship and spend time going to and from Kyoto we decided to stay overnight in Kyoto and take advantage of our time especially in the evenings to see the geisha district . Although we have the added cost of a hotel our outlay overall was similar to 2 days touring with the ship and we saw so much more and the benefit of travelling in and out of Kyoto only once on the bullet train which was actually quite expensive .Kashima Met us at the cruise ship as with no knowledge or experience of the Japanese train network we did not know where we were going we found Kashima as a guide to speak good English and have a great knowledge of his cities and culture. Getting around in Japan is not easy and again he knew the network very ... read more

Twelve days, four tourists and Kashima! We (two married couples aged 61-72) had a wonderful experience exploring Japan by (per our request) railway, taxi, bus, cable car, metro and by foot! Kashima successfully led us through Tokyo, Kobe, Kanazawa, Hakone, Kyoto, and Osaka. Kashima was on time, was flexible with our schedule when we changed our minds or wanted to rearrange our day. Kashima met us each morning at our hotel and helped us navigate the public transportation systems, acted as translator, answered cultural questions and ALWAYS maintained a positive, helpful and friendly manner. Kashima worked hard to arrange a special evening with an apprentice Geisha (Maiko) for us. This was something we wanted to experience but didn’t realize how difficult to find or arrange a “real” ... read more
