Kashima-san organized the timing of the trip very well. Even there were situation where stayed longer than, he did an effort to change the timing of Shinkansen tickets and didn’t try to rush us. He well explained to us history of places we visit and patiently responded to all our questions.
May san, Thank you very much for your great review for me and selecting me as a guide for you precious Hiroshima tour, I am very much pleased that you and your friends could enjoy Hiroshima tour including Miyajima island, Itsukushima shrine, Hiroshima Peace Memorial museum and Atomic dome. These tour spots are historically one of the most important tour spots in Japan which are registered as UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site. Thanks to your strong curiosity, we could exchange lots of deep Q & A about Itsukushima shrine and the detail information of Atomic Bomb attack in Hiroshima city. I am looking forward to meeting with you again in near future. Thanks, Kashima
Had a great day with Kashima - our itinerary and the numbers in our group changed several times and he was so accommodating and nice about it. We saw the highlights we wanted and some great places we didn’t know about!
Hollie san, Thank you very much for your warm and utmost review for me. Our original tour plan was one day tour on Oct.12 for Hakone & Yokohama. However, unfortunately, the biggest typhoon named 19th hit Japan in Kanto area from Oct.11 to Oct.12. Under this circumstance, you and your friends were kindly flexible to see the storm situation by communication with me and we could set the alternate tour on Oct.13 by making several alternate tour options prepared. In the end, we could enjoy Tokyo tour visiting Imperial palace, Zojoji, Tokyo tower, Harajuku, Omotesando and Shinjuku Golden Gai with beer drinking as final enjoyment under sunny weather on the day. I am very much pleased that you and your friends could enjoy the tour even under this unexpected situation. During the tour, we coul... read more
Kashima tried his best to show us through Nikko, but we expected much more knowledge in one of the most interesting places in Japan. The information he gave us, we already had when preparing the trip. From a guide we also expected better knowledge in English.
Michael san, Thank you very much for your helpful review for me and selecting me as a guide for your precious Nikko tour. We visited Toshogu shrine, Akechidaira, Lake-Chuzenji and Kegon-waterfall. Unfortunately, due to cloudy whether, we could not take Ropeway in Akechidaira to view the landscape and we could not see clear view of Kegon-waterfall near Lake-Chuzenji. You had ever come to Japan decades years ago and this trip in Japan is your 3rd one. . I am pleased to hear from you that you know well Japan and love Japan ncluding Nikko. Also, I am amazed that you will have your own tour through Japan with your family by renting a car after this tour . Totally competent caring for our group. Got us through the day with ease. English was frequently difficult to understand, though. Very good skills getting us through all our train and bus changes. Did not, though, keep us together through the Himeji castle, nor give us any education while inside.
Bob san, Thank you very much for your utmost and helpful review for me and selecting me as a guide for your Himeji & Kobe tour. I am pleased that I could support your, your wife and your group of 8 people from your cruise ship members. All your members are so active to learn about Japanese history, culture and daily life. I could communicate a lot with all your members. Also, I am pleased that you kindly pointed out my inperfected points. I will improve my explanation skill about each spots information by English with more slowly and accurate so that everyone can easy understand. As for the explanation inside Himeji castle, I am sorry that I could not explain there. I will improve how to explain to large members during climbing up to 7 stories castle with jammed situation. Dov san, Thank you very much for your great and helpful review for me and selecting me as a guide for your precious Hakone tour. Thanks to your strong will to learn Japanese culture, history and daily life status, we could exchange lots of conversation and I think that I could explain lots of deep information for those. Unfortunately, the whether was cloudy and you can not see Mt.Fuji during the tour. Based on your review comments, I will improve to provide more values to cutomers exceeding a lot against the payment I received from now on. I am looking forward to receiving another request from you in near future. Thanks, Kashima
Kashima san was very prompt and helpful in designing our itinerary. We travelled as a family group of 14 people visiting Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo and Kashima san was very patient and responsive. He is helpful and pretty good in communicating in English. There are however some tourist attractions that he has not been to for some time so his awareness of wheelchair accessibility etc was limited. I would recommend Kashima san for one or 2 day trips rather than a multi-city long duration tour.
Devayani san, Thank you very much for your great and helpful review for me. We could have a very pleasant tour during 8 days with all 14 people of you and your family using Van transportation ranging from Kyoto area to Tokyo area. You kindly reserved Van service for 8 days. We visited Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, Himeji, Tokyo and Hakone. Thanks to all your family strong curiosity for Japanese history and culture, I could explain about those in detail during the tour. As you kindly pointed out to me, at this time I could not well manage to select tour spots and escort for your family who use wheelchairs. This was my first time to take care for the case. Kashima was wxcellent. We had Kashima guide us for 1 day in Kyoto and 1 day in Tokyo a few days later. Though we did a lot of sightseeing on our own in both cities, they were more local to where we were staying, Kashima guided us to places more out of the way, e.g. Golden Temple in Kyoto and Meiji Shrine in Tokyo. He was a great guide, very friendly, very informative about the places we visited as well as a more general history of Japan and the cities we visited. He also helped is with traditions and manners whilst in Japan. We finished our day in Tokyo in a Whisky bar in Ginza, which Kashima picked out specifically as we are from Scotland. Kashima san was very fast in responding with a one-day Tokyo itinerary and adjusted it twice before we agreed and paid. Prior to the tour, I had conveyed specifically that there will be 2 persons who are about 80 years old but Kashima san had to be reminded him several times to slow down his pace. It was rather hot in the day and Kashima san could have been more attentive to the elderly folks to make sure they were doing alright. On the whole, we did not think Kashima san did a bad job but we could certainly do with more proactive sharing of information on Tokyo on Kashima san’s part instead of me asking him questions all the time! Cheers,

Mark san, Thank you very much for your great comments for me. I am pleased that you and your group enjoyed a lot of Kyoto one day tour. Bsed on your preference, we made an itinerary to avoid very touristy places such as Kinkakuji/Golden Pavillion and selected less touristy places such as Arashiyama, Tenryuji temple, Bamboo forest, Ryoanji trmple, Shinsenen garden ang Gion. Thanks to strong curiosity of your group about not only Japanese historey and culture but also Japanese everyday affairs, we could make precious information excahnge a lot. I am looking forward to have another chance to guide you when you come to Japan again in future. Thanks, Kashima
we had very nice tour with Kashima - he was prepared in excellent manner, all on time, and he has shared with us interesting stories on Nara. very entusiastic about his job.
Katarzyna san, Thank you very much for your warm and great comments to me. I am very much pleased that you enjoyed ancient atomosphere of Nara and could understand the excellence of Nara. There are spacious and graceful view with no modern building built on their surrounding such as Todaiji, Great Buddha, Kasuga-Taisha, Nara park, Toshoudaiji temple and Yakushiji temple where we visited. We enjoyed to talk with each other about not only the historical difference between Nara and Kyoto but also various topics for both Poland and Japan. I am looking forward to meeting with you again for your next trip in Japan. Thanks, Kashima
Kashima was wonderful throughout a long day of touring. He was very knowledgeable about all sites visited. I highly recommend a tour led by Hideo.
James san, Thank you very much for your great comments for me. I am very much pleased and appreciated that you and your wife enjoyed the tour of Tokyo such as Tsukiji outer market, Tsukiji-Honganji, Namiyoke Inari Shrine, Imperial palace and the overview from the highest observation floor of both Tokyo tower and Skytree even if it was fairly hot on the day and we walked by fairly lots of steps. I was impressed that you and your wife were so interested in Japanese culture, history and beautiful landscape. I am looking forward to meeting again for your next visit in Japan. Thanks, Kashima
We spent an entire day with Kashima. As promised, he met us in our lobby at 830am. We had a busy day planned and he helped us navigate the subway and trains to get to six different areas throughout the city. He made us a dinner reservation and helped us find a great hole in the wall spot for lunch. He also purchased our transit passes in advance. Kashima was funny and has better than basic English speaking abilities. Although his pronunciation was difficult to understand at times, his understanding of our questions was fine. He was able to answer anything we asked. He also prepared us a tour packet in advance that we enjoyed, and he allowed us to make changes on the fly without question. I would use Kashima again.
Philips san, Thank you very much for your great comments for me. I am very much appreciated that you spent lots of effort to study Japan tour spots before you come here and made a very condensed tour plan including the best spots such as Asakusa/Sensoji temple, Tokyo tower, Imperial palace, Zojyoji temple, Meiji shrine, Takeshita-street and Shibuya crossing. The combination of ancient traditional atmosphere and that of the best modernized town was very nice to feel the excellent contrast. We enjoyed to talk with each other about not only Japanese history and culture for each spots but also various topics and comparison for both USA and Japan. I am looking forward to meeting with you again for your next trip in Japan. Thanks, Kashima

Many thanks to Kashima for staying up late to show our family some interesting parts of Tokyo during our odd-hours layover at Haneda. We could not have found a nicer guy for our tour guide. He took good care of us and arranged a fantastic taxi van and driver. Very comfortable, and I'm very grateful he chose places that would be fun for my kids. I hope we have a chance to visit Tokyo again - if so, we'll definitely contact Kashima to show us around! Highly recommended. Thanks again, Kashima!!

Hideo San arrived early to meet us at our accommodation place and introduced himself and gave us a file that he had prepared with interesting facts about the places we were going to visit. He took charge of the train system and got us to our destination stops most efficiently and also revealed great travel tips.
