We started off meeting Akira In the evening for a walking tour of the Shinjuku area. It was very interesting and we ended the evening at an outstanding Japanese restaurant that he recommended. The next day, we visited number of sites mostly by train and subway, throughout Tokyo. We saw a beautiful Japanese garden park, took a small boat down a river in Tokyo, spent considerable time at the worlds most famous Fish market, and had an outstanding sushi and sashimi lunch. He was thoughtful enough to make reservations for our group and good about making sure that we stayed on schedule. We also visited a tower with outstanding elevated views of the city and then we walked to a nearby temple. Akira’s English Is very good and he was always extremely punctual. I appreciated the fact that ... read more
Dear Bradford-san, Raquel-san. Thank you for your nice review! I’m very happy to read such an encouraging message which has become a powerful incentive for me to keep a good work. I also had a great time thanks to you for two days. I was really relieved when we got back to Sakuragicho Station before 5:00, and I saw you leave there for your ship by a shuttle bus. And I was also relieved when you answered “Yes!” to my question “Are you satisfied?” at some spots. You always sent your responses quickly to my email. It helped me to prepare for the tour. Now I understand good tour comes with good communication between nice guests and me. I’ll live up to your nice comments. Thank you again for everything! I’m looking forward to seeing you again some day If you happen to have a chance... read more
Akira was the best Tour Guide ever! Very helpful, patient, caring and friendly. Speaks very good English! You’ll be comfortable with Akira after the first few minutes of introductions. I asked to modify our itinerary at the last minute due to the heat/humidity and he was happy to accommodate us. He was very organized and efficient with our time. We went to Tsukiji and Asakusa with the water bus in between. He provided interesting facts throughout the day and was very good with our 10 year old son. I jokingly told my wife that our son must be comfortable with Akira because we were in some pretty dense crowds, we got slightly separated and our son stayed with Akira-San instead of us. He even went back with us to our hotel to make sure we got back safely and assisted us at the train s... read more
Dear Gary-san, Naomi-san & sweet Joshua-kun. Naomi-san, have you got invigorated from jet lag yet? Thank you so much for your super good review! I’m indescribably happy to receive it! One of the most impressive things is that I learned that parents really love their son through your behavior. It reminds me of my days back when my son and I enjoyed mountain climbing when he was 10 years old. Joshua is so cute and he did a nice job when answering some of my questions. I’m so happy to see a nice people like your family. I really hope you also have a nice experience for the rest of the tour! Enjoy a little bit different atmosphere and temperature in Kyoto as well. I’m looking forward to seeing you if you happen to have a chance to visit Japan again some day. I’d like to keep up the ... read more

Akira made our visit to Tokyo very special. He was a pleasure to deal with planning the day, and was very responsive to our wants and needs. I requested a tour of the Diet Building and he arranged it so we could see inside the beautiful building and the legislative chambers. Our visit to the Fish Market was an amazing experience and Akira guided us thru an excellent lunch at a market sushi bar. He helped us understand Japanese history, gardens and culture in a very interesting and enjoyable way. I cannot recommend him more highly. Should I be lucky enough to return to Tokyo, I would definitely want Akira as my guide.
Thank you so much for such a nice review. The review really makes me feel encouraged and also gives me an incentive and also helps me become a better guide from now on. I’d like to say thank you because I had a wonderful time to see nice people. Everyone listened to my stories warmly, and tried to answer my strange quizzes with much interest. I’ll never forget this memorable experience. I’d like to live up to the words you game me. Say hello to everyone, John-san, Jeff-San, and also Lucia-san. If you have a chance to visit Tokyo again, I’d like to see you again. Thank you very much again. Enjoy your tour again! Akira Best regards."
My family of four (including our boys, ages 11 and 13) plus our two friends had the pleasure of spending a full day in Tokyo with Akira. He planned the itinerary for the day and made great suggestions. My favorite part of the day was visiting the fish market. It was handy to have Akira with us because he knew how to get into the inner market, which was the best part, and he arranged a beautiful sushi lunch for us at a quiet restaurant just outside the market. My other favorite part of the tour was Akira's trivia questions and prizes - what a brilliant way to liven up the tour. Akira's English is perfect and he was very responsive on email. Highly recommend!
Thank you so much for such a nice review. The review really makes me feel encouraged and also helps me become a better guide for my guests from now on. I’d like to say thank you because I had a wonderful time to see nice families, nice people, and nice boys. Everyone listened to my stories warmly, and tried to answer my strange quizzes eagerly. I’ll never forget this memorable experience. I’d like to live up to the words you game me. Say hello to everyone, to Bill-san, Stastia-san, and Mark-san, of course also to Tyler-kun and Trace-kun. If you happen to have a chance to visit Tokyo again, I’d like to see you again. Thank you very much again. Enjoy your daily life in Australia! Akira Best regards.
We had the pleasure of Akira's company for 2 days. My family and I went to Meiji, Asakusa, Harajuku, Kamakura and more. He was very accommodating and made sure everybody was comfortable and enjoying the sights. Thank you for sharing Japans history and traditions with us. The children especially enjoyed your quizes and prizes at end of the day. Communication with him before the tour started was great. Highly recommended! Hope to see you again soon.
Hello, Jeanne-san. Thank you for your wonderful review! I’m so glad to read your message which helps me grow as a nicer guide. Furthermore it really is an incentive for me. I’ll live up to your words from now on. I’m so happy to meet such a nice family. If you happen to have a chance to come here again, I’d like to see you definitely. Say hello to Dan-san, Brooke-san, and Sean-kun, please! Thank you so much again. See you again! Have a nice weekend. Akira Best regards.
Thank you for a wonderful day, Akira. We enjoyed going to Meiji Jingu Shrine and Sensoji Temple. Thank you for explaining the history, rituals and contrast between them. We very much enjoyed the gardens we went to and sharing time having tea and a sweet in the tea house. It is so wonderful that there are calm places for people to enjoy within Tokyo and also busy places to invigorate as well. Thank you so much for your hospitality, knowledge and guidance on our tour. We highly recommend your tours to others.
Hello, Don-san and Shawnna-san. Thank you very much for everything including a wonderful present from Colorado today and also a very nice review. I’m so happy to read it. I think I really had a good time, for example, through talk about the relation between dementia and diabetes, and also through expressing your satisfaction about tranquility in gardens, and so on. I’d like to say thank you because you listened to my talk. I was given motivation to become a better guide. I’ll live up to your message. Have a nice experience in Shinkansen Bullet Train (born in 1964) tomorrow. Thank you again. I’m looking forward to seeing both of you if you have a chance to visit Japan someday again. Have a good sleep 😴. Akira Best regards.
We recently spent two days with Akira in and around Tokyo. He is a fantastic guide. We had private tours with our family of four (two teenage boys). Akira planned the tour and his advice was perfect. The sites included major temples and shrines and Akira was able to keep us engaged despite the long days. For English speakers, Akira speaks very fluent English. My boys throughly enjoyed spending time with him and enjoyed his fun quizzes with a prize for the winner at the end of the day. If you need a guide in Tokyo I highly recommend Akira!
Dear Joe-san, Renee-san, Jack-kun, Will-kun. Thank you for sending me such a nice review. I really had a good experience to spend with such a nice family. It became quite a memorable time. You also talked about how you think about the present America, including gun controle or electoral system which are very intriguing and helps me understand the present America. Now I’ll live up to your good evaluation. Thank you again. If you have a chance to visit here again, I’m really looking forward to seeing you again. Aigato... Doumo!
I spent an enjoyable afternoon and evening tour with Akira in the Shinjuku. We visited a number of the "hidden" sites and areas that without Akira's familiarity I would not have found. Highlight was the Samaarai Museum, a nighttime visit atop of the Metropolitan Building, and dinner at a small eatery--5 seats--sampling local fare. Akira was a great companion!
Dear Geoff-san. Thank you for your cordial message. I had a very nice time with you while walking, eating, talking. You talked a lot about your country, job, family, and so on, which were very intriguing to me. I learned again that it was interesting to talk with a customer, which helps me understand culture and inside of the country. I really could learn many things thanks to you. Thank you for everything. Come to Japan again, please, if you have chance. I’m looking forward to seeing you again. Say hello to your wife, please. See you soon. Akira.S Best regards.
Akira is a very caring person, he gave me good advices on our itinerary and he is attention to details. He is proactive too, and responded appropriately to our requests. He would like to make sure everyone of us is happy. He is honest, he has the heart to guide the tour. During the preparation stage, when my car company was not responding to my request on our rental driver and car, he helped me call the car company staff. Akira is an outstanding person, especially for his caring and attention to details character. Thank you so much, we look forward to seeing you again in Japan!
Hello, Jamie-san. Thank you so much for your nice review. Thanks to your adequate information, I could have a very good experience during this tour and I learned a lot. I wish I could visit Hong Kong some day. I’m happy to know nice people like you. I also look forward to seeing you again!
Akira is such a patient, heart warming, caring and a very hospitable guide. He is very proactive in his approach towards ensuring that you are comfortable with the itinerary and makes the effort to keep in touch with you from the time you engage his services right up to the last day. He has made my family, friends & I feel so welcome and at ease. Thank you Akira-San for such a wonderful time and enriching us with the Japanese history & culture. We will definitely recommend Akira-San to our family & friends should they visit Japan Tokyo. Wishing you best endeavours in 2018!
Good morning, Valerie-san, Brendan, Lim, Regina, Timothy, Ethan and Jim. Thank you for everything for this 2-day tour. Thank you very very much for your cordial Christmas present. I’ll never forget your families and this present. Thank you again. Akira Best regards.
We have had an educational and pleasant time with Akira in Tokyo. Also pleasant moments that we will cherish forever;
Dear Dr. Pappijn. Thank you very much for your message. I really appreciate it. I’m very happy to know that the you had a pleasant memory during the tour with me. I’d like to make a good tour to live up to your message from now on too. I’d like Annie to have a good time in Tokyo some day next year(?) again. Thank you again for everything. Akira Best regards.
When we watched his video, we could see that Akira has a love for people and sharing his culture with them, and from the moment he collected us from our hotel lobby, we knew we'd made the right choice. Akira immersed us in the culture and history of Tokyo and of Japan with his vast supply of stories, facts and tips. He quickly adapted our program to meet last minute dietary needs, and gave us a personalised tour to our special requirements (robots and architecture). He also had detailed instructions for other amazing sights for us to visit for the rest of our trip, ensuring that from a 1 day tour we had enough information for a weeks adventuring! I can't imagine a better guide for our introduction to Japan and today's tour will always be a fond memory for us. Arigato gozaimas, Akira-sa... read more
Dear Leo-san and Alice-san. Thank you very much for your nice review. I'm very happy to read each one of your words. I'm also really happy to see nice persons like you. And I'm glad to introduce typical Japanese food, soba buckwheat noodles and you looked satisfied. This job, tour guide provides me with experiences beyond expectation. I should live up to your nice review from now on too. May the rest of your tour be with safety. I'm looking forward to seeing you again if you have another chance to be in Tokyo. Have a good sleep this evening. See you. "One, two, three, Sushi! Bye." Akira Best regards
We enjoyed very much the dynamic day we had touring around Tokyo with Akira. He organized very well all the stops such that we saw almost everything that was important - from cherry blossom Gardens to shinto temples, walking through fashion streets, wandering around the Emperor's Gardens, admiring Buddist temples to end up in a the Governamental Builing sky scrapper to enjoy the wonderful view of Tokyo by night. He also took into consideration out wishes and we moved through the city at our own pace-which meant walking almost 20km that day! But he made it very interesting by sharing with us details about the Japanese culture, history, religion and customs. Absolutely reccomended! Thank you very much Akira, we have a very beatiful memory of our day together in Tokyo!
Dear Mihaela-san and Patrick-san. Thank you for everything on April 16th and thank you for sending nice review. I had a great time with you the whole day. You were very lucky to see beautiful cherry blossoms in full bloom even in mid-April. We had to queue at the cutlet restaurant for lunch and at Tokyo Government observatory because it's Sunday, but it became a good experience. Thank you again and I'm looking forward to seeing you again.
Akira san was our guide when we were in Tokyo early April 2017. Before our visit, he was prompt and meticulous in communicating with us and planning our one day Trip around Tokyo with him. He was keen to show us as much as one could do in a day and chose attractions with input from us - understanding our interests and matching them with the itinerary he prepared. As most Japanese do, he put his heart and soul into doing the best. We will highly recommend him.
Dear Anil-san. Thank you very much for writing the review. It is an honor I do not deserve. I will do my best to live up to your cordial words from now on too. I'm looking forward to seeing you again. Thank you again.
Met Akira online. We had only 2 full days on our visit so we opted for a guide both days all day. No car so we took many expensive taxis to save time. Akira was terrific. A retired English teacher with good language skills. He was so much more than a simple tour guide. We peppered him with a questions from history to current events. He took us to fish market and usual sights, we were there during peak cherry blossom season. Ate sushi with him for very first time in his fav place. Outstanding. Highly recommended.
Dear Frank-san and Cindy-san. Thank you so much for everything and your cordial words. You really listened to me very carefully. This really became a good experience for me because you asked me various kinds of questions. I'm so happpy that you could enjoy cherry blossoms in full bloom and enjoyed sushi. If you have another chance to visit Japan, I'm looking forward to seeing you again. Thank you again.
We enjoyed the 3 days with Akira showing us some amazing places around Tokyo. Akira was very pleasant and obliging. Would like to catch up another time. Trevor San and Jill San.
Dear Trevor-san and Jill-san. Thank you for everything and your nice words for me. I think I have to live up to your encouraging words. I like your jokes and pictures. If you have a chance to visit Japan again, I'd like to guide you again. I'm looking forward to seeing you again. Thank you again.
He's exactly what we expected, exactly who we where looking for!!! Akira is what we think is the genuine Japanese spirit! We all really enjoy visiting with him ... and already miss him!
Dear Paola-san. Thank you for your good words. I have to live up with your compliments. I also really enjoy visiting many places with you. Today again I'm looking forward to seeing you. Thank you for everything.
Akira picked us up at our hotel and personally guided us through the subway and took us to the fish market, walked us through the inner and outer market and showed us many interesting foods and was very informative. Then he took us to an outstanding sushi restaurant for lunch, which was not expensive. He took the group to Asakusa and then a boat ride. He was very informative and caring. We would recommend him for this tour.
Hello, Charles-san and Karen-san. Thank you for sending your review for the tour. I'm so happy to read your too many nice things about me. I myself had a good time guiding the nice people like you. I understand everyone of you has a high interest to Japanese culture. All of you enjoyed freshly made sushi just in front of the sushi chef. That was so good, wasn't it? I felt sad when I had to say goodbye to you and you hugged me tightly in the middle of the tour at Tsukiji Fish Market, but I enjoyed the latter half of the tour with the other people including your brother. They seemed to be enjoying Japanese Gardens, match-tea with Japanese sweets, cruising along the river and Asakusa Kannon Temple. I hope to guide you to some nice spots in or around Tokyo if you have a chance to visi... read more
We were in Tokyo for company team building and hired Akira to be our tour guide for a half day tour in Tokyo. We also booked bus from another bus company since we're a large group of 11 people. We learnt a great deal from Akira who kindly explained Tokyo's incredible history (as we drove around imperial garden), Japan's religions (as we visited Asakusa Temple and Meiji Shrine). We also went to Tokyo Tower in the evening where we were greeted with a beautiful night view of the city. Coordination was tough at first because I only had sporadic internet access while in Tokyo and was not able to reply consistently. I would like to thank Akira for being patient with us! I highly recommend Akira to anyone interested to learn a great deal about Japan's rich history and culture.
Hello. Germaine san. How are you? I've missed you. I really appreciate your compliments. All of you listened to me very eagerly and with a lot of interest when I was explaining Japanese history, culture, and other miscellaneous things. I'm very happy to have this opportunity to guide 11 international people and meet a nice person like you. I definitely would like you to call me and I'd like to guide you if you have a chance to visit Japan and have a tour again. I must live up to your wonderful compliments from now on. Thank you very much for your review again. Please take a look at that porcelain-crane sometimes. May your work be full of much excitement and success!
Akira was very informative. Met us promptly at our hotel with a nice sign printed with our name on it. This helped us identify him. He took us to all of the sites as planned and shared lots of information regarding the history of the sites and the customs. Patiently taught me over and over how to say thank you as it took me a couple of times. Had a delicious lunch as well! Definitely money well spent!!
Thank you, Jill, Eric, Cole, and Casey. I'm sure it was torrid in Kyoto. I hope you had a good trip all the time. I'm happy to read your words. I really had a good time with you. All of you listened to me with friendly and warm attitude. You always gave warmhearted words. I'm very happy to meet nice people like your family. I really appreciate it. I wish to guide you to other places as well. If you have a chance to visit Japan some day again, I would like to help you. I'm looking forward to seeing you again. By the way, did you happen to remember "You're welcome" = "Doh-itashi-mashite" ? I better live up to your compliment by doing a good job. Take care!
You were really helpful and we liked geting around Tokyo as locals by train and bus, you showed us Tsukijuku inner and outer market, Hamarikyu gardens, Asakusa and Meiji Shrine in one day, a great tour. thankyou
Hello, Polo and Mercedes. Thank you for your cordial words. I really appreciate your openhearted attitude. I really enjoyed the whole day, including Fish Market walking, strolling the Japanese Gardens with tea and confectionary, soft breeze on the boat, and eating delicious soba and tempura. I was lucky to meet friendly persons like you. I'm happy to read that you enjoyed the tour in Tokyo. In the evening, it started to rain, but I had a good time even in the rain, when we walked along the Omite-Sando Street. If you have a chance to visit Japan again, I really hope to be helpful for your tour. Thank you again. See you soon.
This trip was a last minute request to which Akira responded to quickly with what was a wonderful itinerary. Communications were excellent. Unfortunately, due to a family illness, we were unable to go on the trip as we had to fly home early. I wished that I had discovered TripleLights and Akira earlier on in my planning though as having a personal guide is so much better than going on the huge tours with a more comprehensive narrative, less wasted time and more relaxed pace. The pricing for TripleLights and Akira's trip were very reasonable. When I return for another visit to Japan, I will first check with TripleLights and Akira for my tours.
Hello, Lynn-San. I was really looking forward to meeting you at the hotel in Shinjuku, and introducing you to some nice places. But this time, unfortunately, due to a family illness, I was unable to do so. While we were exchanging e-mail, however, I was happy to have a good communication with you. After you were back to America, you responded to me very politely. I felt your sincerity in your response. So I had a very good experience to exchange mails with a nice customer like you, even only by e-mail. Next time, if possible, I wish you to have a nice one day tour in Tokyo some day. Then I definitely would like to be helpful for you. Tsukiji Fish Market, nice sushi lunch, Gardens, water bus and Asakusa are waiting anytime for both of you. Thank you very much.
