Hello. I'm Akira.S. I've just finished working as a mentor for new young teachers of public junior high schools after long time career as a teacher. I’m so interested in guiding popular sightseeing spots and also hidden areas in and around Tokyo to you. I love this job because I have a lot of chances to meet many people from many countries. I'm really looking forward to meeting persons interested in Japanese culture and history like YOU. I really hope you touch Japanese culture, including Japanese cuisine. I’m coming up with a tour plan based on your interest.

We spent the day with Akira in Tokyo. Right from the get go Akira had a comprehensive itinerary planned out for us. Not only did Akira explain all the landmarks in detail that we had visited he also took time out to mention things that we had passed and wouldn't of realised were even there if he had not mentioned it. Akira was also very accommodating with our children, he kept them interested and entertained all day. He was so lovely that we passed a toy store that our children wanted to visit and he was happy to stop and let them have time to explore the store. Most tours you would take this would not be possible, but with Akira nothing was too much trouble. I would be extremely happy to recommend Akira if you wanted to see the sights in Tokyo, he has a wealth on knowledge. He is also g... read more
Dear Marianne-san, Anthony-san, and Happy Flower! Thank you for your lovely message which encourages me to keep the good work. It’s also a wonderful incentive to me. I’m so happy to read it. Your comments makes my efforts worthwhile. It’s true I myself had a very good time with everyone of your family. That has become one of my pleasant memory. When I gave you a couple of questions, everyone participated in a good mood. I hope it helped you understand just one facet of Japanese cultures and history. Anthony-san, I hope you’ll get the “PULL SAW” ASAP. I’m really happy to see nice people like your family. So I’m very much looking forward to seeing you again. When you visit Tokyo again, I’d like you to contact me, please! Thank you very much again. See you soon! Best regards, ... read more
Akira is an excellent guide with excellent English. During the tour, he shared history, took us to a beautiful peaceful park in the middle of buzzling Tokyo, he answered questions and even made a questionnaire challenge for our group. You can tell he really enjoys his job. We totally enjoyed the tour with Akira and highly recommend him!
Dear Wrency-san. Thank you for such a nice review! I really appreciate it and I’m relieved to know that you enjoyed the tour. I myself had a great time as well because of your friendly character. Good relationship of four members helped the tour be an enjoyable one. I’m also very happy to see such nice people. I’ve already enjoyed Maple Cookies you gave me which was really palatable! Please say hello to Lisa-san, Krista-san and Thuy-san as well. I’d like to send some photos to you, so ... I also hope you enjoy taking care of your children at home. I’m very much looking forward to seeing you again. Thank you again. Best regards, Akira
We had a wonderful day with Akira, visiting Shinto and Buddhist shrines, peaceful in the middle of the buzzling Tokyo life! Akira showed us hard-to-find details and explained us intriguing aspects of Tokyo's history and of Japanese religiosity. An excellent guide!
Dear Raya-san and Luca-san. Thank you for such a nice review which became a powerful incentive for me. I’m very happy to read it. I had a great time thanks to your friendly personality. I’ll live up to your words in order to be a “better luxury guide”. I hope you also have a nice shopping at Kappabashi and a good experience for the rest of your tour. Thank you again. I’m looking forward to seeing you again. Best regards, Akira
We started off meeting Akira In the evening for a walking tour of the Shinjuku area. It was very interesting and we ended the evening at an outstanding Japanese restaurant that he recommended. The next day, we visited number of sites mostly by train and subway, throughout Tokyo. We saw a beautiful Japanese garden park, took a small boat down a river in Tokyo, spent considerable time at the worlds most famous Fish market, and had an outstanding sushi and sashimi lunch. He was thoughtful enough to make reservations for our group and good about making sure that we stayed on schedule. We also visited a tower with outstanding elevated views of the city and then we walked to a nearby temple. Akira’s English Is very good and he was always extremely punctual. I appreciated the fact that ... read more
Dear Bradford-san, Raquel-san. Thank you for your nice review! I’m very happy to read such an encouraging message which has become a powerful incentive for me to keep a good work. I also had a great time thanks to you for two days. I was really relieved when we got back to Sakuragicho Station before 5:00, and I saw you leave there for your ship by a shuttle bus. And I was also relieved when you answered “Yes!” to my question “Are you satisfied?” at some spots. You always sent your responses quickly to my email. It helped me to prepare for the tour. Now I understand good tour comes with good communication between nice guests and me. I’ll live up to your nice comments. Thank you again for everything! I’m looking forward to seeing you again some day If you happen to have a chance... read more
Akira was the best Tour Guide ever! Very helpful, patient, caring and friendly. Speaks very good English! You’ll be comfortable with Akira after the first few minutes of introductions. I asked to modify our itinerary at the last minute due to the heat/humidity and he was happy to accommodate us. He was very organized and efficient with our time. We went to Tsukiji and Asakusa with the water bus in between. He provided interesting facts throughout the day and was very good with our 10 year old son. I jokingly told my wife that our son must be comfortable with Akira because we were in some pretty dense crowds, we got slightly separated and our son stayed with Akira-San instead of us. He even went back with us to our hotel to make sure we got back safely and assisted us at the train s... read more
Dear Gary-san, Naomi-san & sweet Joshua-kun. Naomi-san, have you got invigorated from jet lag yet? Thank you so much for your super good review! I’m indescribably happy to receive it! One of the most impressive things is that I learned that parents really love their son through your behavior. It reminds me of my days back when my son and I enjoyed mountain climbing when he was 10 years old. Joshua is so cute and he did a nice job when answering some of my questions. I’m so happy to see a nice people like your family. I really hope you also have a nice experience for the rest of the tour! Enjoy a little bit different atmosphere and temperature in Kyoto as well. I’m looking forward to seeing you if you happen to have a chance to visit Japan again some day. I’d like to keep up the ... read more
