I was born and raised in Matsue city in Shimane prefecture. Matsue is its prefectural capital located between Lake Shinji-ko and Lagoon Naka-umi which is connected to the Sea of Japan.
I had lived in Tokyo for a long while working at senior high school as an English teacher, but I returned to Matsue in 2015.
I like my hometown and want to introduce this beautiful town to people from abroad. I would like to show visitors the best of the city. That's why I work as a tour guide.
I have been practicing the Ura-Senke Way of tea, one of the main schools of the tea cult in Japan. I also have learned a skill of dressing people Japanese traditional kimono rightly.
You may experience the way of tea or wearing kimono yourself, if you'd like.
