I am a National Government Licensed Guide Interpreter living in Yamanashi Prefecture. My name is Yuji. The area of Mt. Fuji is actually part of Yamanashi Prefecture. Tourists to Mt. Fuji area are not necessarily aware of that. Mt. Fuji as the highest mountain in Japan is on the border of Yamanashi and Shizuoka prefectures. In Yamanashi sit the 2nd highest mountain, Mt. Kitadake and the 3rd highest mountain of Mt. Ainodake. Yamanashi faces no sea and capital city of Kofu is in the basin area.
I grew up in Yamanashi until high school and then I studied and worked in Tokyo Metropolitan area. I came back to Yamanashi at the end of 2002. During my working days for companies including Harley-Davidson Japan, I had sharpened my English and communication skills. I had some opportunities to escort executives or employees of Harley-Davidson Motor Company and I have vaguely been thinking how rewarding it is to guide people. Now I have clear prospect about guiding.
After I came back to Yamanashi, I have also developed further enthusiasm about hiking in mountains and exploring the nature. If you are interested in any special type of hiking such as hiking to see snow capped Mt. Fuji, I will be the perfect fit to arrange. I have many hiking experiences including several times to Mt. Fuji, 2nd highest Kitadake and many more mountains in Yamanashi, Mt. Fuji Area.
Due to my strong interest about people from different background and different culture, I love to meet people. I am flexible and act flexible. This will be my basis about being in this field.
I look forward to meeting a lot of people through my guiding. I have developed my tour plans listed but I can make your dreams come true through any other planning as well. I can explore things with you, hike with you, and even climb Mt. Fuji with you.
Please contact me to find more and what I can offer.
I will respond quickly. I am learning Halal things now.

We spent a half day with Yuji in the Mt Fuji area. He was a fantastic guide that provided just the right about of history at each of our stops. Yuji customized an itinerary that was perfect for our interests and helped us explore all of the highlights of Mt. Fuji. He was kind, gracious, interesting and a delight to tour with. I would highly recommend him for a custom tour of Mt. Fuji. He even made recommendations for us on subsequent days touring in Japan. At every opportunity he went above and beyond!
Dear Meredith, Thank you for having taken time to write a review. It is always the pleasure to me. A bit unfortunate weather but I know you enjoyed the area. It was also nice to have met you in the forest on the following day. You must have visited Wind Cave before we met. Hope you had refund on the trains you did not take. Thank you again for having booked with me and I would like to see you again. Until then, take care. Yuji
Mr.Yuji was a very informative tour guide to our family. We chased Mt.Fuji and we did it! He drove us around Kawaguchiko. With him we experienced the horse meat sashimi, authentic hoto noodles, the song of mt.fuji at 60kph, mt.fuji from oshino park, wind cave & learned about the suicide forest. He's very knowlegeable and on time.
Dear Rhodora Thank you for your review. Just like yesterday, I remember the tour with your family. How is your family? The weather was not so good but we made it and we were able to see Mt. Fuji finally. It could have been much better, though, if we could have been able to see the whole. But I am sure you enjoyed whole Mt. Fuji on the following day. See other time hopefully at your beach in Philippines. Uuji
If your looking to see the most for your money and have a guide that is informative.. Yuji is your guy. I landed in Tokyo and met Yuji at the meeting spot at my hotel at the scheduled time. I didn’t have to find him, he found me. His character is sweet, funny, kind and very well versed in his culture. I was so amazed at what he showed me and taught me in the time I booked him for which was 10 hours. He moves at your speed and makes it all about you. His English is fantastic and there were no communication barriers at all. Yuji is Amazing and I walked away with a new friend in the world. Thank you Yuji from the bottom of my heart! I would do this tour all over again with him. He really made this trip something very special for me. So if you plan a tour I strongly suggest you select him.. ... read more
Dear Christy Thank you for your great review. I feel you just like yesterday. It was so nice for me, too, having met you. Due to time limitation, we could not do all but it was fun for me, too. I thank you again for having booked with me and I feel so happy. Thank you again, Christy. Yuji
Yuji was very friendly, helpful and communicative even before we met. I had somewhat vague idea of how our trip should work out and Yuji provided much more details, did so much of preparation, including public transportation schedules, activitity passes,... Yuji was also flexible and attentive to our needs, especially when we have 2 little kids going with us. We thus highly recommend Yuji!
Dear Zoom Thank you for your taking time to review the tour. I was so worried about the weather but we were O.K. and we were lucky. Kids did it well during the tour. Hakone area with public transportation, especially with kids, is sometimes difficult to go along but it went well. I hope you will continue good days here in Japan. I would like to be of any further help to you when you would think you would need my assistance. Thank you again for your booking and review. Yuji
We engaged Yuji for two visits one for two days with four friends and the other for my wife. On our visit the clouds had restricted the views of Fuji San but Yuji found spots on the lakes from where we could do good photography. The next day was totally cloudy wet and cold yet Yuji found places such as Oshiano to make memorable visits. He has good knowledge of interesting restaurants specialising in local cuisine During my wife’s visit the gorgeous weather enabled several spots for “Kodak moments” Yuji also volunteered to pick up my wife from Mishima and drop her to Shizuoka Sohe went above and beyond guiding services Yuji is now a dear friend who made our trips to Fuji truly memorable
Dear Ramesh and Radha, Thank you for days with 5 people and Radha. Radha san was blessed with beautiful weather and I am glad. Radha san mentioned the main purpose was her pilgrimage to Mt. Fuji and I guess she fulfilled it. Days with all of you are so much memorable for me, too. I eventually covered wide area and I believe that must have eased her trip to Mt. Fuji area. I hope all of you will keep on enjoying the rest of days in Japan and I look forward to seeing you again some day, either in this country or your country. Until then. Let us keep our healthy conditions. Yuji
