Ai is a very knowledgeable and experienced tour guide in Japan, we choose a day trip to Kyoto, she picked us up from our Osaka hotel and traveled to Kyoto with us. During the day, she managed to take us to all of the must see sites. We also had an amazing meal for lunch, and Ai took very professional photos for us throughout the day. Her English is excellent and personality very bubbly and fun. Ai didn't feel like a tour guide but rather a trusted friend showing us her beloved city, we didn't feel rushed or time constrained, but rather took detours and lengthened our tour in Kyoto by ending up in a very special shrine festival. Highly recommend Ai as your next guide in Japan!
Dear David, Thanks for writing me a great review. Since I have been studying hard during the Golden Week Holidays, our adventure to fresh green Kyoto with an annual festival bonus really made my day.🌿 Since Japan will host your favorite sport events, please come back again in the future. I will welcome you two as real friends next time. Thank you very much once again. your guide, photographer, and new friend in Japan, Ai
As a party of 6 with 2 young boys and two octogenarians it’s hard to know how best to curate a trip in one of the worlds prettiest cities with more UNESCO world heritage sites than most! Step in Ai. From the moment we met her we felt comfortable that she was able to judge and meet our needs. Her English is first class, her knowledge of Kyoto (operational and historical) excellent but of most significance is her sensitivity to our needs both in terms of sightseeing and of shopping/ eating etc. She was patient and able to adapt as the day went on based on the children’s concentration span and the fatigue of the more mature. If you needed a bonus..... she comes equipped with her camera and is an award winning photographer. She is unobtrusively constantly on the go getting an amazing mix of... read more
Thanks for writing such a long, detailed, and excellent review! It was a great pleasure to have a warm, kind, elegant, well-mannered, and well-educated family. Hope your super-smart and curious children will study in Japan as exchange students, and become great parents like you and your grand parents. Please keep in touch, and do let me know the next time you come back to Japan! your guide, photographer, and new friend, Ai
We’re so happy we booked with AI! My husband and I and our two daughters (ages 5 and 10) are visiting Japan from NY, and had just under 2 days in Kyoto. Ai was enthusiastic, positive, and flexible, showing us all around Yasaka Hill, Kiyomizu temple, and surrounding areas in Gion. She was lovely with the girls and they really enjoyed spending time with her. We made frequent stops for snacks, souvenirs, and photo taking, and AI helped us with all the transactions and took tons of photos of our family. In fact, as an awesome bonus, AI is a photographer and took lots and lots of photos on her camera, and shared them all with us after! She even professionally edited a number of them and they are lovely and so wonderful to have. Ai clearly spent a lot of time on her own doing that, definitely go... read more
Dear Cindy and her family, Thanks for writing such a long and nice review. Since I am an only child, it was a great experience for me to travel with cute girls and warm-hearted parents. Please keep in touch and drop me a message the next time you come back to Japan. I will definately let you know when I have a chance to study again at Columbia! Thank you very much once again. your guide & your new friend, Ai
Ai did a wonderful job. She took us to the Aquarium to meet the needs of the children. They loved this, but then one of the grandchildren became ill. Ai just worked it out, getting him to a hospital. As the doctor had no English, she stayed there to help which was much appreciated. The rest of us coped. We found a cab and off to kysiomuru dera. She helped us out with a difficult day. Thank you so much. Lyn Hodgson
Thank you so much for having me. Yes, we had an enjoyable moment at Aquarium to see Dolphin Show and salamanders. I was very happy that your granddaughter looked excited and even said hello to dolphins. lol I hope your grandson will brag about his hospitalized experience at his birthday party next month with hilarious pics!(I wish I could follow the rest of your family as well.) Hope to see all of you again the next time you come back to Japan for watching Rugby World Cup, Tokyo Olympics, or studying at Kyoto University. See you later, alligator!(・ω・)ノ your friend & your guide, Ai
Thanks to Ai, we had an unforgettable day at the Bamboo Forest, Kiyomizu-dera and other sites of interest along the way. Ai is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about showing visitors around Kyoto. We had fun chatting with her as we made our way from place to place. She also took and shared with us many photos and made sure we took breaks whenever we needed them. Terrific guide!
Thanks! Davina and her husband not only came on time, but also they were smart, kind, energetic, and curious. Therefore, it was my pleasure to exploring my hometown, Kyoto, with such a nice couple. It was a hot day, for both in temperature and our passion! I will never forget about a "bodybag lady" talk! lol Hope to see you again in the States and/or in Japan! Thank you very much once again.( ´∀`)/ Your guide & your friend, Ai
