National licensed English tour guide (born in 1977). Main job is freelance book editor and writer based on Kyoto. Utilizing various past works and articles from historic spots, off the beaten track, traditional crafts, contemporary arts to hip restaurants, I offer unique and interesting tour. Since I have the qualification of “International SAKE (rice wine) tasting master”, I can guide to the SAKE brewery and nice SAKE bars. Also I am interested in Ethnology, I will guide you to once a year festivals or rare religious rituals.

This was the second time for me to meet Rico. She is very nice, flexible and helpful. I wrote her beforehand what I wanted to do and asked her to make some suggestions for adding local touch. She made me two plans for our day so that I could choose the one I liked more. Because it was so hot and humid in August she even brought me some useful tools against hotness in advance. With her I was able to visit places which I would not have been able to find myself. Thank you Rico.
Thank you very much for your kind comments. I was pleased to see you again here in Kyoto. I appreciate for your lovely souvenir. You are very versed in Japanese culture (zen, garden, Geiko & Maiko etc), so I’m not really sure that I helped you well. I will definitely brush up my guide quality and my English, so I’m looking forward to seeing and guiding you again for future. Thank you very much!
