This is our first time visiting Tokyo and we are very thankful that we chose Triple Lights. Our tour guide, Uemitsu Kageyama, provided us with an excellent experience!! He has our highest recommendation!! We had many things we wanted to see while in Tokyo and we really appreciated that the tour could be specifically designed toward our interests. Also we appreciated that the tour began and ended at our hotel. We were staying at the Tokyo Hilton in Shinjuku. The first stop on our tour was snapping a quick picture with the statue of Hachiko the dog followed by the scramble intersection at Shibuya crossing. We made the crossing and then our guide took us to a great spot above to take photos. We enjoyed the Meiji-jingu shrine (Shintoism) within a majestic forest. This was a beautiful place! Having a guide made the experience much more meaningful, as he explained things that we would have missed ourselves. We walked through the Harajuku area shopping experience for our 13 year old daughter. Lunch was a real fun treat. After lunch we went to the Akihabara area to see anime for our 13 year old son. We visited the Senso-ji temple (Buddhism), walking through the Thunder Gate and took in the incense smoke to drive away ailments. Finally we went to the top of the Tokyo Sky Tree. We enjoyed the trip and the view, but we were most excited for the one last stop our guide had for us. A terrace view of the tower all lit up at night. It was spectacular! And again, a place we would not have known to go to on our own. It was a day filled with walking and riding the subway system. It was a fun way to get introduced to Tokyo. Beyond our tour, our guide was so helpful to provide us with information as to how to use the subway system to visit Disneyland Tokyo the following day. We traveled from the Tokyo Bay Hilton (Maihama station), taking the Marunouchi line to Tokyo Station. From there we took the JR Keiyo Line. After having spent the day together using the subway system, along with the specific information he provided, we felt capable to take on the transit system ourselves toward Disney. His information was very helpful, saving us both time and money. A great introduction to Tokyo!!
Dear Chris, Thank you for your detailed comments and evaluation. I am happy to know that your family could move from Shijuku to Maihama by yourselves. This means that you already acquired the skill to enjoy the stay in Tokyo in one day. Hope that your family will come back again in the near future. Best regards, Uemitsu Kageyama
We toured several Tokyo highlights with Uemitsu for 1-1/2 days. He responded quickly and was flexible in planning our trip in advance. We found him to be knowledgable, friendly and cheerful. And, his English is good. I highly recommend his services Bill Payne Henderson, NV
Dear Bill, Thank you for your comments. I hope that you and your grandson are still enjoying your stay in Japan. Looking forward to meeting you in the near future. Best regards, Uemitsu Kageyama
M. Uemitsu is very friendly and punctual, he has spend much more time with us than eight hours contractually foreseen and had an open ear for our points of interests. Thanks to him, we have seen a lot more than the classic highlights of Tokyo: we were submerged in the reality of Shinjuku and Shibuya, discovered shrines and museum off the beaten paths, were taken to scenic platforms an outsider wouldn't imagine they existed, etc. Many, many thanks for his effort.
Dear Edgard, Thank you for your comments. I am glad that you enjoyed your stay in Tokyo, and hope that you also had fun to view cherry flowers in Aomori. Looking forward to seeing you in the near future. Best regards, Uemitsu Kageyama
We had our first day in Tokyo with Uemitsu. He was very informative and friendly and very helpful in showing us how to use the metro. The highlight was when he took us to Ueno Park for the cherry blossom.
Liz, Thank you for your comments. I hope you will come back next year to enjoy cherry blossoms in different parks. Best regards, Uemitsu
Thank you for taking my parents around Tokyo. We are very grateful to have had you as our tour guide for the trip. My parents talked about all the stuff you did & how nice and knowledgeable you were with all your information and recommendations. Having a tour guide like you is perfect for my parents who rarely travel on their own. Definitely looking forward to coming back in the future.
Dear QV, Thank you for your comments. I am very glad that your parents enjoyed the tour. Also, it was very luck that they could see the Mt. Fuji from the Skytree, the phenomenon that rarely happens in Tokyo. Hope your family will have a good trip in Japan for the rest of your stay. Best regards, Uemitsu Kageyama
