Hello. My name is Masaki, and welcome to my homepage.
Meeting with people is a gift from God.
A new encounter inspires me and enriches my heart.
People sometimes ask me unexpected questions I can't answer on the spot.
So new encounters are like an adventurous journey.
Those who I met stay in my heart with good memories.
Yes, every encounter is worth a glow of jewels.
I've lived in Nara for 40 years.
This is a small city, but is well known as the first capital of Japan and one of the major Japanese sightseeing spots.
As a matter of fact, this is the treasure hall of ancient great civilizations. Overwhelming wooden structures, the greatest Buddha statues, and long-established practices and traditions.
People here know how to live with ancient heritages.
Talking about myself, I was a senior high school teacher for 35 years.
Good teachers are not always a good scholar, sometime a comedian and a hero like a Spiderman.
I retired from work and started my guide career four years ago.
I'm also an instructor of chi exercise and a violin player.
If you are curious about chi energy, please ask me.
My tour policy is to promote friendship between people regardless of nationalities.
Almost all tourists have no chance to contact locals.
Tours end just in sightseeing from outside.
People are generally curious about each other's ideas and perspectives and willing to listen to one another even when they disagree.
Many Japanese are curious about foreign culture but have no chance to talk with foreign people.
Tours will be much more fun if you come to know locals and talk over various things about your and their lives.
This kind of tour is what I really want to offer.
I have experienced these types of tours many times.
Locals are my friends. Respectable people like you.
Some speaks English, others don't.
But don't worry.
I join dinner so you don't worry about language.
A little patience and respect for each other are enough to have a wonderful dinner and promote friendship.
I'll invite you inside Japan.
If you want to enjoy real Japan, I'll be the best partner for you.
Enjoy the journey of your heart and soul.

We had the most wonderful day in Kyoto with Masaki. He was extremely prompt and efficient in his response upon initial contact. I let him know what my husband and I wanted to see, and within hours, I had a spreadsheet detailing every step of our trip, including how we would be traveling, duration for each part (whether it be walking, taxi, along with any expenses we may incur. It was an extremely well-thought out itinerary and route. Masaki came to the train promptly at 10 AM and was with us every step of the way. At each place we visited, he provided insight that we necessarily would not get from a board or audio guide and even had a full dossier of facts and illustrations that were relevant to places we visited. He even threw in a few smaller sites that he really was enthusiastic about showing us and was very forthcoming about taking our picture wherever we were. We even changed our itinerary a little towards the end and he was extremely accommodating. Masaki is so pleasant and kept us smiling all day. Could not recommend him enough. Thank you so much! out to be very rewarding. On top of the very informative tour, Masaki provided all the information required to easily travel to the meet up point. Taking time at the end of the day to ensure we were catching the correct train home. The pictures are also a nice souvenir. Thanks for a great time Masaki. Hope to see you again when we return to Japan!l „Breath in breath out“ now is a common phrase and we hope it will last for a long time as a souvenir from Masaki and Kyoto

Masaki was a pleasure to spend our first tour in Kyoto with. So full of history, and interesting information. We enjoyed our time together very much. He even emailed us pictures of our day together. Thank you for making our time in Kyoto so special.
As soon as I booked my tour with him, he was very warm,he made suggestions as to how we can make the most of our very limited time in Osaka. He communicated very well in English, he was willing to accommodate my requests and made sure that everybody was comfortable during our trip. He came up with different itineraries for me and my family. I trusted him to show Japan and he delivered over and beyond my expectations. He was very polite, genuine, very hardworking, and knowledgeable about the different shrines and temples. The best part about our tour was that he was willing to take our pictures,he cut the unnecessary lines and took us to the important areas. He was like a grandfather to my children. He communicated with me and my family even after we have been back home. We found a good friend and kindred spirit in him. We know we have gained a friend in him. He went over and beyond his time to show us Osaka and he had a good time with us. We had a memorable experience with Masaki. I would highly recommend him to other tourists who wants to experience the culture of Japan. We ate the traditional Japanese foods. Thank you Masaki for spending a day of your life with us. We appreciate you and all your hard work.
He showed us many important sites and told us a lot of interesting things about the history of the monuments and temples. He bought two Amazing Osaka passes for us which was very useful. He knew very good places for eating Kobe beef and other local specialties.
