Hi, I am Hiromi, a National licensed guide in English. I studied in England and U.S. during my 20s and 30s. I graduated college in NY. While I lived in overseas and experiencing different culture, I had chances to look at Japanese culture from the outside. And I realized its richness and uniqueness. Experiencing different culture was like discovering my own culture.
I live west part of Tokyo with my husband. Whenever we have time we like traveling. Also I have been practicing tea gathering (tea ceremony) about 7 years.
In Tokyo, there exist traditional culture as well as pop culture. There are so many places I would like to show you.
It’s my pleasure to introduce you exquisite part of Tokyo. Let’ enjoy exploring TOKYO with me! I’m looking forward to sharing memorable experience with you.

We met in the morning and went through all the agreed itinerary. The tour was good - not exiting.
Thank you very much for writing review. There may be lots of walking in the tour...? Any way it was very nice meeting you and your artistic family.
We met Hiromi in our hotel on our first day in Japan (having come in the night before.) We were able to visit some slightly out-of-the-way places (on our request) including Todoroki Valley, the Kuhonbutsu Joshinji Temple, a local, non-touristy market called Musashikoyama (the longest downtown style shopping arcade in Tokyo) and at the end of our tour, she led us to the Tsukiji fish market (the outer market which is filled with interesting shops.) Importantly, she provided us with our introduction to using the Japanese rail system (which is awesome) and was very attentive to our interests throughout the tour. She is a very lovely person and speaks English well.
Thank you very much for writing nice review. Your request for the tour was non-touristy places. It was interesting and challenging tour for me as well. At this time of the year, most of the sight seeing places are very crowded with many people. But this tour was very relaxing surrounded by you and your friends who are very cheerful. Thank you very much for giving opportunity to conduct the tour :)
A full day in Tokyo can be exhausting - we knew that and it actually proved to be a bit more than we had thought. Hiromi, however, was very well organized and included all our wishes as best she could, even though it meant rushing through the streets of Tokyo to get everywhere in time. We started off at our hotel and headed to Akihabara to visit a cat cafe that we had asked her to take us to - it was an absolutely lovely experience that all three of us enjoyed a lot! Then we were off to Ueno park, a bit rushed, then to Asakusa, again in a bit of a rush through massive crowds. The last bit was actually the best - a river cruise to Odaiba, a little over an hour of relaxation aboard a very modern boat - the Hotaluna - with a terrace to enjoy stunning views of Tokyo and take fantastic picture... read more
Thank you very much for writing review. I'm very happy to know you enjoyed the tour. That is most important things and I care about. As you say, it is difficult to find a relaxing place in the middle of Tokyo, especially cherry blossom season. But at least I'm glad to hear you spent some relaxing time at Odaiba. See you again someday!
Our tour guide was very nice and polite. We booked this garden tour, but her knowledge was limited about the garden. We also felt very rushed and did not have enough time in this absolutely beautiful place. From the description I thought the tea ceremony was in a tea house in the garden, but it was in Ginza, an area away from the gardens. The tea ceremony was in a very nice hotel, the setting was authentic and I felt like we had a very good representation of a tea ceremony. We finished early so Hiromi was kind enough to walk us to Ginza shopping area and left us there to explore.
Thank you very much for writing the review. I also felt uncomfortable to rush you and your friends at the Japanese Garden. But since tea ceremony place was booked at certain time, there was time limitation...Yes, in this tour we visit Japanese Garden & tea ceremony, 2 places. Yes, I don't know about the garden 100 %. So that makes this garden more interesting to me. There is always new discovery. Your feed back encourages me to improve my tour quality. Thank you very much, I appreciate :) Have a wonderful days in Japan! And since your group loved taking pictures a lots, hope you had many lovely picture of Japan.
Meeting with Hiromi the first day of our trip was the perfect way to start off our vacation. She showed us the ins and outs of the subway system, taught us about some of Japan’s rich culture and history, and showed us some great gardens and views of the city. We would definitely recommend having Hiromi as a part of your first introduction to Tokyo. Best, Alex & Kayla
Thank you very much for writing review. It was very nice meeting pleasant couple such as you and Kayla. I especially liked how Kayla tried to get in to tea room with her boots. That was cute. I feel happy that I can join in your memory in Japan. Thank you :)
