Hiromi was well prepared for the tour. She took me to some interesting places and i was able to accomplish what i was looking for. I would just add a comment..compared with other similar tours i took, the tour would be much better if Hiromi would throw in more interesting facts about Japan in general as we walk from place to place and not just when we get to the place. She definitely answered all my questions but other tourguides i had were able to bring up very intetesting facts about Japan and tbe lications we were visiting that I would never ask about because i would not know to ask. That nade those tours so much more intetesting. But that is just FYI....
Dear Michal Thank you very much for writing the review. Customer's feed back is very important for me to make my tour better. I appreciate the review. I hope many nice photos you have taken in the tour leave you lots of good memory of Japan.
Hiromi was on time and polite and new the Japan rail system like the back of her hand! She was so kind and helpful and very well informed about the Japanese Tea Ceremony and the Gardens and was about to educate my mother and I. It was great spending the day with Hiromi and I highly recommend her to everybody!
Thank you very much for writing review. It was very nice meeting you and your mother. During the tea ceremony, I could see you and your mother are very interested in Japanese culture. It is my pleasure to know that I could introduce some part of our culture. Thank you for being my guest. Hopefully see you again some day :)
We met in the morning and went through all the agreed itinerary. The tour was good - not exiting.
Thank you very much for writing review. There may be lots of walking in the tour...? Any way it was very nice meeting you and your artistic family.
We met Hiromi in our hotel on our first day in Japan (having come in the night before.) We were able to visit some slightly out-of-the-way places (on our request) including Todoroki Valley, the Kuhonbutsu Joshinji Temple, a local, non-touristy market called Musashikoyama (the longest downtown style shopping arcade in Tokyo) and at the end of our tour, she led us to the Tsukiji fish market (the outer market which is filled with interesting shops.) Importantly, she provided us with our introduction to using the Japanese rail system (which is awesome) and was very attentive to our interests throughout the tour. She is a very lovely person and speaks English well.
Thank you very much for writing nice review. Your request for the tour was non-touristy places. It was interesting and challenging tour for me as well. At this time of the year, most of the sight seeing places are very crowded with many people. But this tour was very relaxing surrounded by you and your friends who are very cheerful. Thank you very much for giving opportunity to conduct the tour :)
A full day in Tokyo can be exhausting - we knew that and it actually proved to be a bit more than we had thought. Hiromi, however, was very well organized and included all our wishes as best she could, even though it meant rushing through the streets of Tokyo to get everywhere in time. We started off at our hotel and headed to Akihabara to visit a cat cafe that we had asked her to take us to - it was an absolutely lovely experience that all three of us enjoyed a lot! Then we were off to Ueno park, a bit rushed, then to Asakusa, again in a bit of a rush through massive crowds. The last bit was actually the best - a river cruise to Odaiba, a little over an hour of relaxation aboard a very modern boat - the Hotaluna - with a terrace to enjoy stunning views of Tokyo and take fantastic picture... read more
Thank you very much for writing review. I'm very happy to know you enjoyed the tour. That is most important things and I care about. As you say, it is difficult to find a relaxing place in the middle of Tokyo, especially cherry blossom season. But at least I'm glad to hear you spent some relaxing time at Odaiba. See you again someday!
Our tour guide was very nice and polite. We booked this garden tour, but her knowledge was limited about the garden. We also felt very rushed and did not have enough time in this absolutely beautiful place. From the description I thought the tea ceremony was in a tea house in the garden, but it was in Ginza, an area away from the gardens. The tea ceremony was in a very nice hotel, the setting was authentic and I felt like we had a very good representation of a tea ceremony. We finished early so Hiromi was kind enough to walk us to Ginza shopping area and left us there to explore.
Thank you very much for writing the review. I also felt uncomfortable to rush you and your friends at the Japanese Garden. But since tea ceremony place was booked at certain time, there was time limitation...Yes, in this tour we visit Japanese Garden & tea ceremony, 2 places. Yes, I don't know about the garden 100 %. So that makes this garden more interesting to me. There is always new discovery. Your feed back encourages me to improve my tour quality. Thank you very much, I appreciate :) Have a wonderful days in Japan! And since your group loved taking pictures a lots, hope you had many lovely picture of Japan.
Meeting with Hiromi the first day of our trip was the perfect way to start off our vacation. She showed us the ins and outs of the subway system, taught us about some of Japan’s rich culture and history, and showed us some great gardens and views of the city. We would definitely recommend having Hiromi as a part of your first introduction to Tokyo. Best, Alex & Kayla
Thank you very much for writing review. It was very nice meeting pleasant couple such as you and Kayla. I especially liked how Kayla tried to get in to tea room with her boots. That was cute. I feel happy that I can join in your memory in Japan. Thank you :)
This tour around Tokyo was mainly for my daughter as this is her first time here. She enjoyed the sightseeing very much especially at Meiji Jingu Shrine and the paper craft shop at Ginza which was recommended by our friendly guide Hiromi san. Thank you so much Hiromi san for making this a wonderful tour for us. Hiromi san is quick witted and thats why my daughter love her so much.
Thank you very much for writing review. I was lucky to meet with warm and loving family. Your daughter is smart, I enjoyed talking with her very much. Also your husband's charming behavior made me laugh. Because of your kindness I also relaxed and enjoyed the tour very much. Thank you for being my guest!
Tour was very good! Hiromi met us at our hotel and guided us to the Koishikawa Korakuen gardens 1st...cherry trees were not yet in bloom but the garden was still nice to walk around... we then went to another garden for the tea ceremony which was amazing! I am glad Hiromi was with us to translate at the tea ceremony... I would recommend Hiromi as a tour guide!
Thank you very much for writing review. It was very nice meeting you and your cousin. Customer's review encourage me a lot. I was surprised many wedding was going on at the garden of tea ceremony. I'm happy that I could share the moment with two of you. Thank you!
Hiromi was a good guide; she was friendly and happily answered my many questions and helped us with a Suica card mix-up. I was a little disappointed that our tea ceremony was in a hotel rather than a real tea house, however we booked our tour only a week ahead of time and Hiromi said that March is a busy month, so I understand that perhaps it wasn't possible. And, after the official tea ceremony was over, the host offered to let my brother and I make the tea ourselves, which was wicked cool (!) and an opportunity that I don't think would have been presented in a real tea house, so that made up for my initial disappointment. Thank you for a good tour!
Kira-san, Thank you very much for writing review. It was very nice meeting you and your brother. I'm sorry that you didn't like the tea house so much. Unfortunately since Tokyo is a big city many of tea houses are built inside of hotels. And each of them are different. There is a tea house with Japanese Garden, where conduct 'ryurei style' (seating on chair not tatami mattress). Also I use actual tea master's house which is used for real tea ceremony practice. It is really depends on availability of the tea house or tea room at that time... But one things I can say, I usually choose the place which is not tourist orientated and conducted by good tea master with proper tea utensils. I'm very glad to hear you enjoyed the tour, that is most important and I care for the customer. Thank you :)
Hiromi was great. She showed us around, gave great information about the 5 different stops, and answered any questions we had. She was great giving recommendations for our future trip to another city. At the end of our tour, we told her we were having trouble finding local food, she directed us to the best fish we had every experienced. Thank you Hiromi!
Dear Brittney Thank you very much for writing the review. It was my pleasure to show you around Tokyo. Since it was your first time in Japan, I tried to show you as many places as I can. You and your husband are very pleasant people to be with. Please come to Japan with your baby next time! Thank you!
We had a fantastic day with Mrs Hiromi. She showed typical Japanse traditions; the art of bonsai and a traditional tea ceremony. This trip exceeded our high expectations. Apart from this, Mrs Hiromi is a very kind and patient person who helped us to understand Tokyo on our first day. Thank you!
Dear Eelco I'm very happy to know you enjoyed the tour. It was customized tour 'Experience Bonsai and Tea ceremony'. I myself enjoyed seeing you and your girlfriend creating Bonsai. It was fun being with two of you. Thank you very much! Please tell your girlfriend (sorry, that I can't spell her name) to enjoy Tokyo Marathone tomorrow!
Hiromi enabled us to take in a cross section of Tokyo’s key tourist sights in one day. It was a challenging umbrella day - we couldn’t see the tops of the high buildings due to mist. Hiromi used the subway and JR rail to move us efficiently between widely spaced locations. Hiromi has good English, a good knowledge of Tokyo, is friendly and has a quietly informative manner. It was a fun memorable day thanks.
Dear Mike & Brenda Thank you very much for writing the review. It was rainy and bit cold day. I hope you didn't catch a cold. It was interesting day for me as well. Same sights but different views in spring rain. Even I go same sights each moment are different. The moment is treasure for me. I appreciate your kindness during the tour! Thank you! :)
Having been given options of what sort of things we could do in Tokyo, we chose to see as much as possible. Hiromi designed our itinerary and led us around some amazing sights. She was very knowledgeable and friendly and took us around on the Tokyo Metro from sight to sight. There were lots of highlights of the day but I particularly enjoyed the Japanese Gardens (my daughter loved the shops). Having spent our first day in Tokyo with Hiromi, we felt much more confident in finding our own way around for the rest of the week.
Dear Freya Thank you very much for writing review. I'm so happy to know you enjoyed the tour. I enjoyed being with you and your family very much. I also enjoyed talking with your daughter Jessica(慈恵詩華）, she is very kind, polite, pretty like fairy. I hope she found many lovely things in Japan for her birthday! Thank you very much for being my guest. Come Japan again!! :)
Hiromi was a wonderful guide, patient with our kids and very well informed.
Dear Kevin Thank you very much for writing the review. I had very good time with your family. Your children was smart & open minded. I can't forget when your daughter, Natalie (sorry, if I was wrong with her name) 's smile saying 'Oishii (tasty)' when she drunk green tea. I always wish your family's happiness :)
I spent a lovely morning with Hiromi in Kagurazaka and Yanaka Ginza. She made our trip very interesting and she also made it possible for me to see a real tea ceremony with a master. It was so interesting and entertaining! I am truly happy with my choice and I really recommend Hiromi as a guide for your stay in Tokyo.
Dear Erika Thank you very much for writing review. It was very nice meeting with you. Most tea houses close on Dec. 30th. So we visited actual tea master's training house.Tea master was a cheerful man. I'm glad to hear you enjoyed the experience. It was interesting experience for me as well. I hope to join a tea ceremony with you wearing your beautiful Kimono next time!
I could not be happier with Hiromi as a tour guide and educator about Tokyo and Japan. I had a one day tour on my first trip to Japan/Tokyo, and she helped me plan sights to go and visit, was deeply informative, open to my questions, flexible when I wanted to see an additional garden, and generally a delight to spend a day with. She was professional to the highest degree, communicating promptly, arriving early, helping me in all places I was a bit lost but never pushing or judging. Her knowledge is deep and accessible, and she really tailored the tour to my interests and questions. Highly recommend!
Dear Adam Thank you very much for writing the review. Yes, we visited a lot of places and that was fun! I'm very happy to know you enjoyed my tour. I had very good time, too. Thank you very much for being my guest. The review like this really encourages me. Hope see you again someday. There are many more places to see in Tokyo. Thank you :)
Hiromi found a place that would do traditional tea ceremony on a Sunday which apparently is unusual in Tokyo. Hiromi and the lady who conducted the tea ceremony were both very knowledgable and interesting. Hiromi also took us to a small garden that was very peaceful and pretty yet still in the middle of Tokyo. The day was very enjoyable.
Dear Carol Thank you very much for writing review. Yes, the tea house was small but uniquely created in the middle Ginza (upmarket shopping district). I hope you enjoyed experiencing making your own tea as much as watching tea master's tea making procedure. It was a great pleasure to meet you and your husband! Thank you very much.
Hiromi is an excellent guide! We had so much fun spending the morning with her. The walk around Koishikawa Korakuen was breathtaking and very informative, and the tea ceremony she arranged for us and guided us through was absolutely magical. When our tea ceremony master began the ritual, it was as if Tokyo had melted away and we were the only people in the whole world. Hiromi was even kind enough to fit into our plans to visit a nearby observation deck in between the gardens and tea ceremony. Thank you so much Hiromi, this was the best tour of the whole holiday! :)
Dear Robert & Rebecca Thank you very much for writing the review! I enjoyed being with you very much. At the end of the tour I felt like I know you and Rebecca long time and leaving my friends behind. You appreciate what you see and experience that made my tour something special for me as well. Thank you very much. Three of us sitting on the wooden bench in the garden of the tea ceremony place, feeling nice breeze in nature and talking was very peaceful and memorable time. Hope see you again someday!
We enjoyed our tour with Hiromi very much. She planned the tour with us in advance by correspondibg by mail and took our wishes into the plan. We have Two children aged 4 and 8 and the tour was also really Nice for them. She explained about the places we went to and helped us to do different activities along the way. She also answer all our questions we had. IT was noce to spent our frist day in Tokyo with her. I would really reccomend her to other people conciderinf ising a guide in tokyo.
Dear Heidi Thank you very much for your generous review. And I'm really sorry that Tokyo Metropolitan Government Building Observation Decks were unexpectedly closed that day. You and your family are wonderful people. Your lovely children made me smile. I also enjoyed meeting & being with your family very much. Thank you! I wish you and your family's happiness always :)
Hiromi was a great guide. She took us on a tour of her favorite garden. This was great because she knew so much about it and shared many wonderful stories about the landscape and history. After this, we enjoyed a traditional tea ceremony. She translated and explained each part. Overall it was a great morning. I highly recommend Hiromi as your guide!
Dear Kelli Thank you very much for taking my tour and writing review. I also had enjoyable relaxing time with you two. There is Japanese word "Ichigo-ichi-e". Meaning one meeting in one occasion is once-in-a-lifetime. Even though same people, same place, each meeting is different. So the moment is treasure. For me also the meeting and time time spent with you in the tour was my treasure. Again thank you very much!
We had a great time with Hiromi exploring Tokyo. We were very lucky with the January weather and had sunny blue skies so she took us to a lovely park and explained the history behind it. Given that it was January 2nd and many tea houses were closed Hiromi was very limited with her options for finding us an open tea house. She found a wonderful tea ceremony perched high up in a hotel downtown which was completely authentic. Would 100% recommend Hiromi's services to anyone visiting Tokyo. Thank you!
Dear Alice Thank you very much for writing review. I'm so happy to hear you had very good time! I also enjoyed being with you and your friend very much:) Have a wonderful new year & If you ever come to Japan let me know. I'll be so happy talking more about Japanese culture. Again, Thank you!
