Hello everybody my name is SHIN. I am national government licensed tour guide and certified tour planner & conductor.
I'd like to introduce myself shortly. I have a big family. Three children and five grandchildren. I have two houses, Tokyo and Kyoto, so back and forth between both cities accommodating your requests. Though I now live in Tokyo, I grew up in Kyoto, so to speak Kyotoites. I used to be an engineer of global steel company. After having retired in 2015, ultimate dream of my life came true. I've been enjoying tour guide life over three years. My ancestor was Samurai leader 15th century in Kyoto, named Sozen Yamana. Unfortunately I couldn't say hello to him, but he used to be brave Samurai warrior proud of skillful Katana wielding. But for me no idea how to use Katana sword in the battle fields, but only know how to use cooking knife with my wife. Please don't be scared me I am a safe and friendly guide to make you happy.
On my pastime I enjoy playing golf and Karaoke solo singer. Jazz vocal is my taste, Tony Bennett, Whitney Houston, Billy Joel etc.
Japan is unique country. Upon turbulent period of Meiji Restoration mid 19th century, Japan dramatically changed from isolated nation to modern modernized country through adopting western culture with Japanese indigenous colors.
Such unique historical transition attracts visitors from all over the world. Amazing landscape water and dry sand gardens, relaxing at Onsen Hot Springs with Sake tasting, Washoku authentic healthy but tasty cuisine, lovely cherry blossoms and chrysanthemum, sacred shrines and philosophical Zen temples, exotic seaport towns, intriguing big city Tokyo and Osaka so many charms. So many stunning things are waiting for you.
My available tour areas are wide. Not only Tokyo, Yokohama, Kamakura and Hakone but also Kyoto, Osaka, Nara, Kobe where are my home ground. I am pleased to customize and tailor your only one special tour plan! Yes now is just prologue to start talking together. I am looking forward to your message.
S'wondeful, s'marvelous I'd like to see you soon !

Shin is a wonderful guide! He is very dedicated and willing to help. He customized the itinerary for us and stayed longer when the schedule got a little out of control. Our children liked interacting with him. Definitely to recommend Shin!

Mr. Shin was the best guide possible. We have 2 amazing tours with him; in Kyoto and Osaka. He met us at our acommodation and had ready for us a nice itinarary, based on our interes. He was punctual, full of energy, had a great sense of humor. Our days were spent traveling using public transportation and walking through many beautiful areas in Kyoto and Osaka. We highly recommend him. Thank you very much, Shin

Shin was a great guide for our two days. He expertly guided us through the highlights of three cities using trains, subways, buses and taxis. He is very personable, knowledgeable and professional. We are glad we selected Shin and got to know him. He definitely made our time in Osaka, Kyoto and Nara a very memorable experience.
Dear Robert san, thank you very much for having hired me as your three cities tour guide. Kyoto, Nara and Osaka. And I would truly appreciate your nice review. These three towns are closer in location but have different original faces. I am pleased you enjoyed traditional and modern things. I hope nice Japan tour will be going on cruiser too. Thank you so much ! SHIN
Mr Shin was very helpful. He was kind enough to scout out our Air BnB before our arrival. He took pictures and gave specific instructions on how to find it a day before our arrival. We had the 1 day tour which started at 9 am and he stayed with us way past our end time. Mr Shin made sure we were safely on our way home inspite of us letting him know that we would be ok. We managed to see the important sights around Kyoto and traveled like the locals using the bus and train system. Everything was very efficient.
Dear Donna san. I really appreciate your good review comment to our tour. I am please to be your tour guide whole day in Kyoto. Though I worried about raining, we were luck to have kept on going without heavy rain. This time we have been to popular landmarks like Fushimi inari shrine, Arashiyama bamboo forest & Tenruji temple, and UNESCO World heritage Golden Temple. Our last spot is Nishiki food market center of Tokyo, and it was fun to taste different local ingredients. I think you are experts of global travelers, so you will continue wonderful journey much more. I hope our Kyoto tour will remain as a shining gem-like memories. Thank you ! SHIN.
Mr. Shin exceeded expectations and is a most highest recommended guide. I would rate him higher than 5 stars. Mr. Shin is very generous, noble, helpful, and knowledgeable guide. Please choose Mr. Shin as yout guide! He helped with train routes, taxis, and found a very good lunch for us. He knows all the picture locations and will help you capture great photos. Most of all he was very kind to our 2 year old son and helped us navigate Kyoto with our son. Mr. Shin is the best guide in Japan! Thank you very much for our wonderful tour!!!!! Please visit in Hawaii if you’re on vacation!
Mr.Nicholas I really appreciate to hire me as a private Kyoto tour guide. I’d like to say thank you for giving me an excellent comment. I've read your message over and over again. Upon showing your son’s photos to my wife and daughter they say how cute he is. Today I am playing with my grandchild with same age as he is. My grand kid is overlapping on my mind with Colton. On a fine day we could already share unforgettable nice memories, monkey park, bamboo forest, golden temple, vermilion gates tunnel in Fushimi inari shrine. I think the distance you travel was so far, 2500 miles, from Hawaii, but our heart distance already get closer. I wish you and your family happiness and prosperity forthcoming New Year, 2019. Aloha. SHIN ^^
