I am Eriko, a mother of two sons, a former backpacker, and an open-minded tour guide.
I was born and grew up in Aichi Prefecture in central Japan. With a 6-year residence in Hong Kong, I have lived in Tokyo with my family for almost 30 years now.
Before I became a certified tour guide, I had been a Tokyo Metropolitan volunteer tour guide for two years. After I got the tour guide license, I took special guiding training in various places such as TOKYO, HAKONE, NIKKO, NARA, KYOTO and more. Also, I'm very familiar with my hometown areas such as AICHI and GIFU including NAKASENDO OLD ROAD, TAKAYAMA, SHIRAKAWAGO etc.
There are a lot of things I enjoy, such as traveling, meeting with people from the world, photography, appreciating art, doing gardening, learning what I have not known yet. Especially, I like traveling at home and abroad based on the itineraries I make on my own.
I have explored more than 20 countries, and was always helped by local people when I got troubles. Now I think this is my turn to assist you so you can explore Japan in a relaxing way. I am flexible about destinations and can arrange the tours according to your preference. I'd like to make your travel to Japan special by sharing my experiences, knowledge and love of all things Japanese with you.
Let's explore Japan together! I'm here to guide you!

Eriko is a very good guide. She Is very knowledgeable and shares a lot while touring us. She also made sure we are comfortable as we are touring with our parents. I would recommend her as a guide.
We were very surprised to find Eriko at our front door. We then headed out and Eriko was extremely helpful and considerate to the fact i use a walking stick.she went out of her way to save me walking as much as possible. I can only say she was fantastic.lunch each day was really good, her english was excellent and i would not hesitate to utilise her services again should i come back to Japan.
What a wonderful tour Eriko provided for our family of 4 on our first full day in Tokyo. She is an incredibly warm and kind lady and she went to great lengths to make sure that we were all comfortable, especially our 8 year-old son. Having her expertise to navigate the complex train system, avoid pedestrian vs. cart collisions in Tsujiki Fish Market and explain the rich history of Hamaroken Garden was invaluable. She takes a lot of time and care to ensure a positive experience for her guests.
We spent a wonderful day in Tokyo with Eriko. She contacted us prior to our departure from Australia to ask about the places we wanted to visit and suggested some more. Her itinerary was perfect, she helped us understand the Tokyo railway system and suggested a great sushi place for lunch. I highly recommend Eriko. She is a fabulous guide and a genuinely lovely and caring lady.
Eriko was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. She shared her knowledge of Japanese history and culture with us. We enjoyed our tour is Asakusa area. It was a lovely way to begin our stay in Tokyo.
