I am Eriko, a mother of two sons, a former backpacker, and an open-minded tour guide. I have lived in Tokyo with my family for almost 30 years.
I was born and grew up in Aichi Prefecture in central Japan. Therefore, I'm very familiar with Tokyo, its neighboring areas, and central Japan, such as Hakone, Kamakura, Nikko, Nakasendo Road, Takayama, Shirakawago, Kanazawa, Kamikochi and more.
There are a lot of things I enjoy, such as traveling, meeting people from the world, walking in the mountains, appreciating art, doing gardening, learning what I have not known yet.
Especially, I like traveling at home and abroad based on the itineraries I make on my own. I visited more than 20 countries and was always helped by local people. So this is my turn to assist you as a professional tour guide.
I am flexible about destinations and can arrange the tours according to your preferences. I'd like to make your travel to Japan special by sharing my experiences, knowledge and love of all things Japanese with you.
Let's enjoy Japan together! I'm here to guide you!

What a wonderful tour Eriko provided for our family of 4 on our first full day in Tokyo. She is an incredibly warm and kind lady and she went to great lengths to make sure that we were all comfortable, especially our 8 year-old son. Having her expertise to navigate the complex train system, avoid pedestrian vs. cart collisions in Tsujiki Fish Market and explain the rich history of Hamaroken Garden was invaluable. She takes a lot of time and care to ensure a positive experience for her guests.
We spent a wonderful day in Tokyo with Eriko. She contacted us prior to our departure from Australia to ask about the places we wanted to visit and suggested some more. Her itinerary was perfect, she helped us understand the Tokyo railway system and suggested a great sushi place for lunch. I highly recommend Eriko. She is a fabulous guide and a genuinely lovely and caring lady.
Eriko was very welcoming, friendly and helpful. She shared her knowledge of Japanese history and culture with us. We enjoyed our tour is Asakusa area. It was a lovely way to begin our stay in Tokyo.
We were very happy with Eriko in all respects. She arrived on time and was courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. We changed our itinerary at the last minute and she was able to accommodate our request without hesitation. we covered various sights in a short time. Eriko was also very helpful before the tour and after the tour with regards to some information and guidance.
My wife and I had an excellent tour with Eriko. We visited the Meiji Shrine and Akasura shopping and temple during the 4 hour tour. Eriko was the perfect guide, providing practical and historical information and getting us to the sites efficiently. She responded to all of our requests, and we had pleasant conversations on our subway trips. Her email communication with us to confirm details of the tour was immediate every time. We would highly recommend Eriko and this tour.
