Very knowlegable and his discussion of the history and meaning behind the places we visited were greatly apreciated
We had a great time with Yuki-san in Hakone. He was very knowledgeable, and attentive to our needs, even helping to draw the shades when the sun’s rays were shining into the train carriage. The tour was well paced and well planned, with adequate breaks. The route was carefully selected to reduce unnecessary delays. When we had more time than expected, he offered us suggestions to make the most of our day, like nearby sights which we could visit while waiting for the next scheduled item. Yuki-san knows the perfect spot to capture the best view. To top it all off, he speaks great English and is a very engaging conversationalist. Thank you, Yuki-san!
He was very good and made the best of the situation. The weather was not suitable for a Mt. fuji itinerary but we had Lake Ashi cruise and the ropeway that ran close to the Volcano. And we went to a beautiful garden. It rained a little bit that day.
Yuki was a great tour guide and was very attentive to my 7 year old son. He had a tour setup for us but he was flexible enough to accommodate our last minute changes. We enjoyed our tour and it was very memorable.
We enjoyed Yuki as our guide. He is knowledgeable and easy to talk to. Our tour was excellent.
My brother and I chose to travel to Tokyo even though we knew very little about the Japanese culture and city. Yuki was extremely helpful and kind. He met us at the train station and escorted us to our hotel and then we began our tour. We had selected 3 locations to tour which included a garden, the government building with an incredible view of Tokyo and the Imperial Palace. Yuki explained many details about all 3 locations. He suggested a Ramen lunch and we went to a place where the locals eat which was quite interesting. I asked Yuki to help me figure out how to get to our tour departure location (cab or subway) the next day and he was extremely helpful. I highly recommend hiring an English speaking tour guide when you arrive in Tokyo if you are unfamiliar with the city because it can be extremely confusing.
We had a wonderful time touring Tokyo with Yuki. He was thorough, knowledgeable and patient. He knew his way around Tokyo and was able to take us around everywhere. We loved learning about the shinto and Buddhist religions and how they coexist so beautifully. Would definitely recommend touring with him!
We had a great time with Yuki san. He knows very well the schedule of the trains, the buses and the boat. I highly recommend Yuki san.
We met Yuki for a day around Tokyo and then again for the sights of Yokohama. Yuki was great and managed to work an itinerary to see everything we wanted and coordinate the day so it flowed effortlessly. We particularly appreciated the instructions on how to use the Metro and JR lines and found this invaluable when doing our own thin on other days. Yuki also took us to some great places to eat which provided memorable experiences in places we simply would not have gone on our own. With Yuki it was also really easy to change plans or spend a little more time in places without any fuss which made the days stress free. We'd love to come back to Tokyo and spend some more time exploring with Yuki and would recommend to anyone looking for an informative and well educated guide.
I just went on internet to look for a tour person in Japan for my children. TripleLights Service popped up. I went though the web site and booked a tour person for my children visiting in Japan. After my children came home from the trip. I asked them: "How is Yuki?" They answered: "Mom, give him 10+. Yuki is supper good."
I would highly recommend Mr Yuki. Our excursion to Kamakura was made so much easier through his guidance and patient demeanor. He was full of knowledge and it was a pleasant experience for us. He planned out the itinerary and it was the perfect balance of sightseeing and shopping. Thank you Mr Yuki!
Good trip with a knowledgeable guide. Thanks!
I came to Japan as a solo female traveler and figured it would be a good investment to tour the Tokyo area with a local, and I do not regret doing it with Yuki one bit. I spent about half a day with him and we went to the Tsukiji Fish Market, Akihabara, Meji Shrine, Asakusa and the Senso-Ji Temple. He was extremely accommodating (met me at my hotel and traveled with me back) and knowledgeable on the history and facts of each place we visited. The best part about being with Yuki was that he took me to a great local sushi restaurant and he also brought me around to the the best street food places I have ever had! I would highly recommend doing a tour with him as I had a wonderful time.
This was our first time using a private tour guide and we're very happy to say all well great on our visit to Kamakura. Yuki was prompt at arriving at our hotel, taking us to the subway and around the various areas in Kamakura. The pace was great and to our liking. We even discovered that Yuki had previously lived in Chicago (where we're from) in the past. I would recommend Yuki to all.
Yuki did a great job with our family -- two parents and 4 kids ages 16 through 6. Yuki picked us up at our hotel in Tokyo, helped us navigate the Shinkansen and bus to Hakone, and guided us around the sites of Hakone, and then got us to our ryokan where we were staying that night. He called the ryokan when we first arrived and arranged to have them pick up our bags, and again at the end of the day of siteseeing to pick us up. Everything worked perfectly. Yuki is a calm and expert guide, and was patient with us and all the kids explaining the highlights and allowing us to dictate the pace of the day. He took us on the typical circle route around the Hakone area but in a reverse order to minimize crowds and match our schedule better. It was a great day. Thank you!
Me and my friend booked Yuki for a day where I asked him to choose the places to go, it was pouring down rain which he took into consideration and was super flexible and helpful with anything we needed. He speaks excellent english and gave us small presentations on an ipad when visiting sites. For a true authentic experience make sure to book our friend Yuki :)
On both our days with Yuki in Tokyo and Hakone he answered all our questions and requests, spent so much time how we needed. Without his help we definitely couldn't see all the fantastic places in your beautiful country. Thank you and Yuki very much.
We spent 2 days with Yuki in Tokyo. Prior to our time together, he had great suggestions for sights to see and was very quick to reply. In Tokyo, he was very organized, informative and flexible with the needs of the 3 of us who are 15, 42 and 77. It is difficult to meet the needs of a wide range of ages, but he was abile to do so easily. We highly recommend Yuki. You will be thankful you booked him.
Yuki was an amazing guide. We saw so much in one day. He planned everything perfectly, and even contacted us because of weather changes to see if we could go a day earlier because the forecast called for rain. He took us to the most amazing viewpoints to see Mt. Fuji. kept us on schedule and made sure we saw all of the sights in one day. We loved it all, and he made it a fantastic stress-free adventure.
Yuki is a knowledgeable guide who gave me a great tour of Tokyo.
He allowed me to travel at my leisure while he navigated me through the public transportation. I saw more than what I anticipated and have many new memories. The knowledge he shared with me allowed me to navigate through the metro line, instead of using taxis, on my last day in japan by myself, which saved me money. Nothing but positive remarks.
I'd definitely recommend this trip with Yuki. He was incredibly well planned, and offered a unique experience in Tokyo.
Yuki took us from Tokyo to Hakone to see Mt. Fuji. We had a wonderful day with him as our guide to Hakone. He adjusted our schedule since it was busy Golden Week but made sure that we got to ride the bullet train Thank you for your patience and all the information you provided about Japan and Mt Fuji. You were a great guide for our group.
Yuki is an excellent guide and l very detailed with history/background of each places we visited. Good recommendation of ramen and sushi - best we had, not tourist too. Highly recommended Yuki to anyone for his guide service and his passion as a guide- flexible, knowledgeable & reliable person.
Yuki is great. He was very attentive and made sure our trip to Kamakura was very enjoyable. I would highly, highly recommend him.
Our family of three, including our adult son who was able to join us, thoroughly enjoyed the historical, cultural and horticultural insights provided by Yuki as he guided us through several principal Tokyo areas we had requested: Imperial Palace East Gardens, Meiji Jingu shrine, and Sinso-ji Temple with walk through the immediate Asakusa shopping street (our request). These important sites with his insights helped our better understanding of Tokyo's rich cultural heritage. Yuki was a fount of information as we asked many questions. He was well organized with a great, personally prepared guide on his ipad that he shared. As lunch time approached, he introduced us to a wonderful udon noodle restaurant. In addition, we asked about sights we planned to tour on our own. He gave us much reassuring advice. Moreover, he met us at our hotel and saw that we safely returned there. We would heartily recommend Yuki to others! Thank you, Yuki.
Yuki picked us up at Yokohama pier and we had a wonderful day at Sankeien Gardens, the wisteria blossoms, and all the spring flowers was beautiful. We had tempura at a small neighborhood restaurant, which was like a 5 start restaurant. The best tempura I have had. Yuki is a inspiration because you will have to be able to keep up with him, as far as walking is concerned. He is also very accommodating and patient. We enjoyed our tour with Yuki.
We found Yuki to be a very flexible and resourceful guide We covered a lot of territory and saw almost all the sites we had on our list during a weekend He was eager to please and made recommendations that added local color to the experience.
Yuki guided our group of 10 people through Odawara, Fuji, Gotemba area. He booked a bus that fit our needs well. It was unlucky for us that those two days raining, so we couldnt maximise our picture taking of the beautiful cherry blossom trees. Yuki is very polite, humble, and assisted our group very well. Very reccomended.
Yuki was a wonderful choice for our first trip to Japan, he was gracious and accommodating as we spent the day exploring Asakusa, Akihabara, and harbor cruise. After touring Kyoto for 3 days we needed a slower paced day. Yuki adjusted our original plan to accommodate us. It was the perfect day. Thank you .
Very kind and knowledgeable man. Took me to the Imperial palace and told me do many amazing facts about the emporer and the history behind it! One if the best days if me trip! Would Definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a nice informational filled day!
Our day with Yuki was amazing. His expert knowledge was educational and enlightenting. Had a wonderful day. The best way to see a new city in a foreign country on our first day of our 12 day tour. Thank you Yuki. Iain & Lisa - Australia
Yuki was wonderful. He was well prepared, answered all my questions by email and was prompt. We had a wonderful day exploring Kyoto and visiting the top sites. I know we would not have been able to see as much if we had done it ourselves. He met us at our hotel in Tokyo, helped us get the bullet train tickets at a discount, then helped navigate us through the sites we wanted to see in Kyoto ( bamboo forest, Toriii gates, golden temple). He added the Buddha temple for us and it was wonderful. We had homemade Kyoto cuisine at a local restaurant which was just perfect for our cultural experience. He then took us back to Tokyo on the bullet train. He also gave us some background and history of the shrines and temples with illustrations on his ipad. We had an amazing time and would do it again in a heartbeat. THANK YOU YUKI!!!
Yuki was a great guide. He was very knowledgeable of the history and culture of Japan. He had great visuals on his iPad that he showed us throughout the day to give us more detail about the history and locations we were visiting. He lent us a bus card that we added money to so that we could get to our locations faster. This meant that we had more time to visit once we arrived. We did up taking the wrong bus on accident, but he threw in an extra tour of one of the temples to make up for it. Overall, Yuki was a very knowledgeable guide and I would highly recommend him for your tour!
We were met at our hotel in Tokyo. We traveled by train, tram and bus easily with Yuki's help. We were a party of 4. We all agreed that Yuki was the best tour guide we have had and enjoyed our day immensely. Yuki was very knowledgeable and explained all the different things we saw. We all agreed an excellent and outstanding day was had by all. We highly recommend Yuki and Triplelights to friend's and family.
My family of seven were fortunate enough to have Yuki guide us on two trips: one half day in Tokyo and one full day in Hakone. Since this was our first visit to Japan, it was great having an experienced guide like Yuki to help us navigate the rail and subway systems, and provide us with excellent descriptions and facts about all the places we visited. Moreover Yuki is very friendly and communicates well with people of all ages. Yuki got very high approvals from both my 11 year old son, and my mother who is in here 70’s. My whole family enjoyed our experience with Yuki, and would definitely use his services if we visit Japan again. Thank You Yuki!
Yuki was a wonderful tour guide. We had a couple of days in Tokyo which fortuitously coincided with the peak of cherry blossom season. He took us to all the wonderful hidden cherry blossom spots and made it such a wonderful experience. He was particularly kind to my children, the youngest one whom he took us to the character section and toy stores in Tokyo station, which turned out to be a highlight of his vacation. We recommend him without reservation.
Mr Yuki was a substitute guide who took over somebody whose services I booked much earlier but couldn't make it on the appointed date. I am thankful that TripleLights asked the very experienced Mr Yuki to bring us to our desired sites in Tokyo. He was very accommodating, too. He knew how much I wanted to revisit the spot near the Imperial Gardens with my daughter who was in my womb when I had a photo taken in that particular place 30 years ago. And, he found time for us to find that particular spot. If only for this, I am so grateful to Mr.Yuki.
My parents and I spent a few days in Japan and this was our first time here. We wanted to see as much as possible in our short stay so we hired a private tour guide (Yuki.) Yuki was an amazing and kind host. He showed us around Tsujiki, Akihabara, and the Tokyo Sky Tree. He was very informative and if I am ever back in Tokyo in need of a guide I would book him without a second thought. Thank you very much Yuki for a memorable experience.
Yuki was great. He was able to accommodate us last minute for a 1-day trip to Kyoto from Seoul. He met us at our hotel that morning and guided us through the subway and bullet train to make our way to Kyoto. He was very professional and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this trip!
Our group if 5 friends had a great time with Yuki in Tokyo. He had an awesome sense of humour and was fill of information. Yuki went above and beyond what was agreed to help us find a luggage storage location. Thanks Yuki for helping make our trip fantastic.
Yuki provided us with a wonderful 4 hour tour. We started with a bird's eye view of Tokyo from the world trade center building, then headed to nearby shrine. Afterwards, we toured the Meiji Jingo shrine. Yuki taught us about Shoguns, Emperor rule, Buddhism and Shinto. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. We would tour with Yuki again, without question.
Mr. Yuki was very accommodating to our requests and was very informative and helpful all throughout our tour!
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Yuki, visiting the famous fish market and the Imperial palace gardens. Yuki was first class, knowledgeable, competent and his English language skills excellent. Thank you for helping to make our one day in Tokyo memorable.
Four of us had a fantastic day touring the sights of Kamakura. Yuki met us at our hotel and that helped streamline our day so we didn’t have to figure out navigating through the train stations. Yuki was very informative in regards to the history at the sights we visited. I would highly recommend Yuki as a tour guide as our day was fun and full of Japanese history. Excellent day tour with Yuki from Tokyo to Kamakura.
Yuki took us through Tsukiji Fish Market at 10:00 am. Had lots of knowledge of the fish and the operation . Would use him again.
I wish to thank Mr Yuki for being a personable and engaging tour guide during our time in Tokyo. He communicated clearly to us and always looking out to ensure we are in pace with him. He always inform us in advance of the journey time, train schedules and make immediate changes to cater to our needs. Mr Yuki demonstrated a genuine personality to put his clients his priority in a a fast-paced, challenging and dynamic environment in Japan. We have experienced his excellent service with our designated tours, along with strong interpersonal and time management skills. Indeed, he had contributed immensely to the success of our itineraries. Thank you for your consideration, and I look forward to see you again. Sincerely, Eileen
On behalf of my team of 4 from Penang Malaysia, we thank Yuki for his excellent tour guide to Hakone to see one of the Seven Wonders of the World, the beautiful Mount Fuji. It was indeed spectacular to view the mountain scenery from the cruise in Lake Ashi. Nevertheless, although the cable ropeway was closed due to climatic reason, we had a great lunch and bus ride down to the hot spring public bath at Yumoto Fujiya Hotel. Thanks to Yuki and will definitely come back to visit amazing Japan!
I am most happy to have mr Yuki join us in our Yokohama as our guide. He was most polite, patient, that’s why we hd an easy going tour around Yokohama. Kids were delighted to get rides and he was patient to deal with their request. Our Cup Noodle Museum was the highlight of our tour. Kids had fun in their Ramen Activity. Many thanks again mr Yuki.
Best guide we ever had in our travels of many countries! Very organized and fluent in English, he planned our day with clear detailed communication and provided what he promised and more. He thought of every details and was like a family with us. Can’t thank him enough!
Our most excellent guide Yuki was with us on two days. Taking us to points of interest not covered by our regular tour company. One of our tours was a larger than normal group (14) on a 7 hour Tokyo Samurai and Ameyoko tour. The other centered around a trip to the Owl cafe, which was fantastic in that we were allowed to visit 12 species of owls who were well cared for, up close and personal. Yuki's English was very fluent and he guided us trough various trains to destinations with ease and care. To make the most of our limited time, he purchased our tickets in advance. We benefited from his extensive knowledge, his sense if anticipation and fine amiability.. We would look forward to having Yuki as a guide again when we come extraordinary Japan another time. Yes. we would recommend him to others without reservation. Note: The Samurai Museum was fun and informative but would have loved more details about their lives. Wonderful Samurai armor collection with narratives though out the museum with a docent. Ameyoko had plenty of choices for street food and dinner. The large oysters at a fish stand were ultra fresh, pleasantly briny and delicious. Very reasonable at 5 for 1000 jpy. My husband who does not do fish had a satisfying and tasty noodle bowl for just a few jpys. Eating on the cheap is doable and delicious in Japan.
Guide walked in front of us not explaining anything as we went - it felt life it was just from destination to destination and nothing in between
It was a great pleasure to have Yuki as our private guide. Yuki was very informative and knowledgeable about Japanish customs, religion and history. He is charming and helpfull, also flexiable to our wishes. Smooth travelling in public transport was excellent. Thank you Yuki so much!
I cannot even begin how excellent Yuki was as my tour expert in Tokyo for three days. Coming to Japan as a first-timer, I was nervous about navigating the Tokyo's public transportation systems and taking in a culture I have never personally been immersed in. Through going around Tokyo with Yuki, I was not only able to overcome the initial anxiety, but also gain a new perspective on Japan that I would otherwise have missed out on had I went alone. Yuki was an excellent communicator, took into account my interests in improving my proposed itinerary and made sure that every spot we visited was supplemented with interesting information and historical background. Yuki made sure that I was not only enjoying the stops as a tourist experience, but also see each attraction through the lens of society and culture. It is also worth mentioning that Yuki went above and beyond for me to make sure that I got back to my hotel safely, took correct public transportation and have my souvenirs mailed to the USA via EMS. Yuki's outstanding dedication to ensure that I have a seamless travel experience is something I have never seen anywhere else. I am beyond grateful for his concern and compassion. I came to love Tokyo a lot more than what I was expecting, and Yuki made sure that you walked away from the tour realizing how great Japan and its people are. If you are looking to visiting Japan, you can never go wrong with Yuki.
Yuki was very informative, his English was good, smooth public transportation . He was little too fast walking for us, hard time keeping up with him. He tried to accommodate us with what we want. He is just a fast walker.
We toured the Tokyo, Hakone and Kamakura areas with Yuki. Yuki was a very organized guide with wide knowledge of the Temples, Shrines and other important Tourist spots that we visited. He plans the days well and considers the preferences of the customer. I will not hesitate to recommend his services to my friends.
We were happy with our guide Yuki
Yuki is an excellent tour guide, really nice guy. This was our second time around with Yuki, we spent 5 days with him, he is very accomodative, helpful and knowledgeable. If you are looking for a particular thing/item or question then he is your man! Also, for those wishing to do a bit of shopping, please ask Yuki for a special tailermade shopping experiance tour! Thanks again Yuki for everything, was great to see you again. Japan is such a lovely place and the people are so nice. Best, Noel & Eve
Thank you Yuki-san for being so patient with us (all nine of us) during our tours. Yuki-san was so helpful, especially helping us to purchase the tickets for the bullet train. His service was very good and even though our tours only lasted 3 days, we were very happy with Yuki-san and we have had the most enjoyable trips with him. Arigato-gosaimas-da!
Yuki was fantastic! He picked us from the hotel lobby and gave a lesson on the Tokyo Subway system before we began our tour. He showed us how to buy the Pasmo Card and use the subway. We had a great day and saw the Tokyo tower, Zojyoji temple and visited Asakusa. Tsukiji fish market was closed on our booked day so we had pre-arranged to visit Akihabara where the tour ended. Yuki was great at providing direction on which subway lines we could take to get us back to our hotel. Yuki, thanks for the great day!
We were a little bit hesitant to book this one day Kyoto from Tokyo tour because of the distance (Our hotel was in Narita which was an hour or so away from Tokyo)...But Yuki was able to make this happen for us...Exploring Kyoto was an awesome experience...Considering how busy/crazy train/subway/bus system here in Japan, having someone as Yuki to guide us through to the destinations that were must-see's was really wonderful. I recomnded this tour for those who would like to see Kyoto with very little experience of public transpotation in Japan.
Our trip to Tokyo was a rainy one. Instead of going to Hakone with Yuki, he advised us to cancel it because of rain, thus we pushed thru to Kamakura. Yuki was a very nice guide. He showed us the interesting things in Kamakura, and he can also really walk too! He was there to guide us in taking the trains to reach our points of interests. We would have wanted a more informative guide, as Yuki was not as informative in the history of Kamakura as we would've liked. Although the gallery told of the history of the Kanon, it is still diffetent coming from your guide and also the shogun era of Japan. Overall, it was an okay experience to Kamakura. Getting a guide reaaly relieves you of the stress in the possibility of getting lost in Japan.
Yuki did a very good job of guiding us around Tokyo. He lent us some Metro cards so we could just recharge them rather than buying new ones which was nice.
Yuki was our guide for Hakone (departing from Tokyo by Shinkansan). About half way through the tour we had stormy weather that resulted in the "ropeway" being cancelled. Thank goodness Yuki was there to figure out how to continue on our journey to Lake Ashi by local bus. This would have been very tricky without a knowledgeable guide. We stayed overnight in Hakone while Yuki headed back to the Tokyo area. He made sure that we had instructions on how to proceed to Kyoto on our own the next morning. I would recommend Yuki for his excellent English and his efficient manner.
Yuki understood what was important to us. Very knowledgeable, soft spoken and kind. A wonderful example of the quality of your employees. I'm coming back to Japan next year and if possible I would like to have him as a tour guide again. I have been asked by some of the passengers on the Diamond Princess about our tour. I highly recommend your company.
Yuki-san gave us a great introduction to Tokyo on day 1 of our trip. He not only helped us see several Tokyo highlights in a day, but also gave us enough of an orientation to the city so that we are were able to comfortably navigate Tokyo by ourselves after that. His suggestions on getting a Pasmo card to navigate the subway system, and the extra photographs and info he had handy on his tablet were also greatly appreciated. We particularly enjoyed all the historical and cultural insights he was able to provide. Thanks, Yuki-san!
Yuki is a pleasant and experienced guide to tour with. He offered bits of interesting historical events for each different location and will not hesitate to answer your questions. Moreover, the presentation was neat and commendable. He offered to fetch us at our apartment (not to mention that he was early!) and even took the extra mile to include additional tour location when the tour ended early. If you are looking for a light-hearted tour, i would recommend Yuki.
We had two tours with Yuki, one in Tokyo centre and one in Yokohama. On both occasions Yuki met us on time and with a big smile. We had exchanged e-mails prior to the tour so Yuki knew the sights we wanted to see. He then arranged the days so we saw everything we wanted. We went on the underground and the bus system and had two excellent lunches in traditional restaurants. Yuki was very knowledgeable and explained about the history associated with the sights. I would have no hesitation in recommending Yuki as a guide when you visit Japan.
We took a tour with Yuki to Kamakura. He knows the area very well. Has a good knowledge of the attractions. We enjoyed the trip.
Mr. Yuki met us very punctually. He was very informative and kept a brisk pace, allowing us to a number of sites during the day. He handled purchasing the tickets we needed to navigate about Tokyo. The restaurant he suggested for lunch was elegant, quite and out of the way (a nice break from the heat and crowds outside). I was able to have some interesting chats related to his profession, as he was a nuclear physicist. We were fortunate to have Mr. Yuki as our guide!
We enjoyed a fantastic day tour from Tokyo to Kamakura with Yuki. He was professional but warm and friendly. He is also very high energy. His English and knowledge of various cultures/religions is excellent. In addition to his clear verbal explanations, he carries an iPad pre-loaded with photos, diagrams and other reference info to quickly assist his guests in their understanding of the various points of interest. We felt that was quite helpful. We had a few email exchanges before we arrived in Tokyo so he could plan our tour for what we wanted to see most. Much of it was left to his discretion since he is the expert. For example, he arranged the timing to take the large Sunday crowds into consideration. We either walked or took the subway. The tour was well-planned for the most efficient use of time. We saw all of the major hightlights including the large Buddha and many shrines, gardens, and temples. We also meandered through a few little shops along the way when it started to rain. (The rain was no problem at all.) Lunch was in a small noodle shop- just perfect! Later, we toured a new, ultra-modern shopping center near Tokyo Station. Very interesting! Thank you, Yuki-san for our wonderful day. When we come back to Japan, we will be sure to find you again. Cheers!
Yuki is a great tour guide. Knowledgeable and courteous. I'd recommend him to anyone in need of a guide in Japan
Yuki is a very kind and patient tour guide. He did his job very well in explaining the history, details and the story of the tourist spots. Besides, he was very patient to take care of my trip that consists of 5 young kids. Highly recommended!
I wanted to see Mt Fuji, the ice caves and walk through the woods. Prior before the tour, Yuki made us aware that the weather might be very bad and if I want I can change the date for the tour. As I could not change the date, I confirmed that I still want to do the planned tour. Unfortunately the weather was so bad, that we were not able to go up Mt Fuji. Yuki made us aware during our train ride. He was so pro active and creating an instand change in the tour that we got the most out of the day. We saw the caves, a little original village, great original food, and a fantastic walk through the forrest. He was very knowledgeable and it was fun to be with him. I would recommend him as a tour guide and book him anytime again. Thank you Yuki for a great day
Yuki is very nice and very passionate about his work. He answered all our questions.
He is smart and patient. He was super helpful especially when we needed to retrieve our bags left at the Shinkansen train. He is honest. What should I expect on our trip was been discussed in our emails. Specifically, the value of our Hakone trip with Yuki-san is cheaper than other tourist guide.
Yuki led a very good tour and provide many interesting points about the culture as we visited the temple, garden, learned the train system, and saw other sights. I would highly recommend him as a tour guide.
Yuki was very accommodating to the needs of my family, he adjusted our itinerary as we went along. Yuki was also very knowledgeable and his English was very good.
Yuki met us in Tokyo and traveled with us to Hakone. While Sunday is an extremely busy day for Hakone Yuki strategically found a way to avoid standing in lines by timing where we went at optimum times. He was informative answering our questions about Japanese culture and society. We returned rather late in the day and Yuki was extremely generous with his time spending around 10 hours with us. He even offered to take us back to our hotel on the train, although we told him it was not necessary. We highly recommend Yuki as a competent and informative guide.
Yuki was our guide for two full days, and during these two days we learned a lot about the history of Japan, which was most interesting to us. We visited the fish market, palace gardens and a few museums. Had a great lunch at the fish market and learned how to navigate the subway, which was far easier than we than we thought. Whatever question we had was answered often through a presentation in a website giving a great overview. Thank you Yuki, Ana & Flemming
We really enjoyed our walking tour with Yuki. He was very helpful and informative. We enjoyed lunch in a local restaurant which offered the area's local delicacies. The restaurant was very pleasant and it gave us a chance to learn more about Japanese culture from Yuki. One of the highlights along with the temples and shrines was the ladies dressed in kimono and standing by the cherry blossoms in Kamakura.
We had an excellent trip of Tokyo City tour and Mount Fuji with Mr.Yuki. Mr.Yuki took us to a lot of viewing spots near Lake Kawaguchi. He also took us to a good restaurant for lunch in Lake Kawaguchi to taste Japanese delicacy. He planned the trip very nicely so that we did not have to rush during our site seeing.
We spend one day with Yuki visiting Tokyo station, entrance Imperial palace, Imperial East Garden, Senso-Ji tempel and Skytree. We had an amazing time including an amazing lunch. Yuki has a great knowledge of history and events that formed Tokyo. He explained us the JR train system so we could smoothly travel later to Takayama and also the metro system. He uses his ipad to support his explanation. He is very helpful, very friendly and speaks very good English. Our two daugters expected Yuki again the next day, they missed him already. We will visite Tokyo again and hopefully Yuki has time to join us then!
Yuki was an excellent guide. He met me at the Tokyo Station, and we headed out on a day trip to Kyoto. Yuki was very organized from the beginning of our tour to the end. He had meticulously planned our itinerary as to fit the most sites in to our short time in Kyoto. Communication prior to the tour was great. Yuki was also a great conversationalist, and he was obviously well versed in Japanese history. I enjoyed talking with him over the course of the tour. We had a busy day, but I greatly appreciate him taking me to Kyoto. Thanks Yuki!
We spent 5 days with Yuki and from the beginning, he was fantastic. He helped us to navigate the underground system, quickly and efficiently. We went to a variety of places, where he gave detailed explainations, sometimes using his iPad to show us different facts about where we were. We have seen some very modern parts of Tokyo whilst also enjoying more historical aspects too. Yuki has a great knowledge of history and events that shaped modern day Tokyo. He was flexible, helpful and very friendly, whilst helping us to follow Japanese protocol in different situations. We ate in some fabulous restaurants including having the most amazing sushi. We cannot recommend him highly enough for the time and effort he put in to making our stay so wonderful. Nothing was too much effort. We were sad to say goodbye.
Yuki did an excellent job of pre-trip planning, giving us many details and providing options. With our input he tailored the tour to concentrate on the things for which we had the most interest. Yuki did a very good job of letting us know what expenses to expect (admission fees, train ticket costs, etc.) and was able to optimize each trip to take advantage of passes which allow admission to several venues. Yuki made sure the pace was good (we prefer a fast pace), and he tailored the pace to be best for us.
We were very pleased that it was Mr. Yuki that we chose to guide us around the Imperial Palace Grounds - he imparted to us his knowledge, and it was very edifying for us to know so much about Japanese history and Mr Yuki had the knack to mix the old with the new - in terms of how he related things about Japan to us. We are very grateful to Mr. Yuki. The final touch we Mr. Yuki sent us the photos he had taken - and this to us is very very memorable.
We did a day trip to Harkone with Yuki. The day was excellent and we go to do lots of different things. We added an extra couple a few days before the trip. The only thing was the itinerary that Yuki gave me was not the one we did on the day. My partner and I really wanted to do a tea ceremony and i explained several times that this was the highest priority. On the train to Harkone Yuki explained all the different things we can do and i reminded him this was the most important. By mid afternoon i asked about the tea ceremony and where we were doing it and he told me it was too late and we were going to miss out. The first half of the day was great but after that we seemed to be running late for everything and rushed through. When we got to the area with the black eggs we had literally 5 mins to look around and then jump on a bus. I feel like the day should have been better planned out and Yuki should have explained if we do one thing we can't do another. He also changed the start time of the day the night before.
This was our first trip to Japan and we hired Yuki for three full days of touring us around Tokyo. He came to our apartment on time each morning to pick us up and took us to our planned events for the day. He even helped pick restaurants that suited our dietary needs. He also made sure we returned to our apartment without getting lost. He was very knowledgeable and helpful. I highly recommend Yuki for anything you plan to do in Tokyo.
We spent 3 days with Yuki in Tokyo. We were lucky to see Mt. Fuji from Lake Kawaguchi when the clouds lifted. What a spectacular sight! We visited the East Garden of the Imperial Palace, and Yuki was very informative about Japanese history as we walked the area. We also visited the Samurai Museum, Meiji Shrine, and Sengakuji Temple. The Tsukiji sushi lunch was the best! During the planning process for these 3 days, Yuki was very helpful, flexible, and accommodating. He responded to my questions promptly and even went out of his way to find a specialty nori for us. Thank you, Yuki, for showing us Tokyo and Lake Kawaguchi.
Thank You Yuki San for the excellent time and the details that you shared with us. It was truly remarkable the way you took us around the city and it felt as if a friend was showing us around. Would recommend you highly to anyone visiting Japan
Yuki is very kind and personal in his approach of the tour. He kindly accompany us to the doctor due to my son's allergy before going to the proper tour. It was very personal and accommodating and we greatly appreciate it. His knowledge of the places to go in our limited time in Tokyo helped us appreciate the beauty and culture of Japan.
I like the free and easy option, and Yuki-san brought us to some nice place for lunch. Although I believe, there is lack of information in general.
Yuki was meticulously prepared for our day trip to Hakone with our 1 year-old daughter. He had thought ahead of where we could stop and take our time so she could sleep etc. The tour itself was great fun, with Yuki sharing the history of Hakone, Lake Ashinoko, Mt Fuji and the surrounds. We had time to explore both of the cable cars/ropeways and take some fantastic photos of Mt Fuji. We highly recommend Yuki as a tour guide
We had an enjoyable guided tour with Yuki-san who is patient and knowledgeable. He speaks good English and we managed to cover quite a few places with beautiful scenic views. Highly recommended.
Yuki was very helpful in guiding us to visit Hakone to see Mount Fuji. Although the weather conditions prevented us from going on the monorail or boat, he had a backup plan which still allowed us to see a great view of Fuji from the Japanese Painting Museum. He went out of his way to reserve a restaurant for us for dinner and made it easy to find our way around and book transportation for the the trip. I would definitely recommend booking with Yuki if you would like someone who is friendly, well-mannered and considerate of your needs.
Extremely professional and knowledgeable. Plus a real nice person.
Thank you Yuki san for making our Mt Fuji trip so memorable. As a first time visitor of Tokyo, Yuki took care of everything and all we had to do was show up at the lobby. Learning what we wanted to do and see, Yuki was very accommodating and even suggested other things we could do whilst in Tokyo, getting the details for us. Without these tips we could have missed more! Thank you Yuki, I'll look you up again when I visit Tokyo next time!
Mr. Yuki did a great job customizing a tour for us. A week prior to our trip, we decided on three spots together based on our interests. Mr. Yuki replied to his emails almost immediately, which made this process so much easier. At the last minute, we had to change our meeting location but Mr. Yuki was very understanding. He lent us subway cards for the day which made traveling between sites so much easier. We weren't familiar with Japanese traditions at all. He did a great job explaining Japan's history, customs and traditions. He was very knowledgeable. He patiently answered all of the questions we had about Japan. This was an all day tour and we had a lot of questions! Also, we wanted to have lunch specifically at the Palace Hotel and he was very accommodating about that too. At the end of the tour, I felt that we learned more about Tokyo than we could have ever figured out ourselves by going to the sites with just a travel book. We definitely recommend Mr. Yuki. We only had one day to spend in Tokyo, but he made sure that day was spent productively.
