“ Beyond expectations ”

Thank you Yuki san for making our Mt Fuji trip so memorable. As a first time visitor of Tokyo, Yuki took care of everything and all we had to do was show up at the lobby. Learning what we wanted to do and see, Yuki was very accommodating and even suggested other things we could do whilst in Tokyo, getting the details for us. Without these tips we could have missed more! Thank you Yuki, I'll look you up again when I visit Tokyo next time!

Yuki:
DEar Dalilah, Thank you very much for your quick and great review. The view of Mt.Fuji was just mangificent as we have switched the date of our tour. It was my first time to use a tour taxi and it made our tour very efficient. This tour helps me to improve my tour, too. Please come to Japan in other season.

“ Great Tour of Tokyo's Highlights ”

Mr. Yuki did a great job customizing a tour for us. A week prior to our trip, we decided on three spots together based on our interests. Mr. Yuki replied to his emails almost immediately, which made this process so much easier. At the last minute, we had to change our meeting location but Mr. Yuki was very understanding. He lent us subway cards for the day which made traveling between sites so much easier. We weren't familiar with Japanese traditions at all. He did a great job explaining Japan's history, customs and traditions. He was very knowledgeable. He patiently answered all of the questions we had about Japan. This was an all day tour and we had a lot of questions! Also, we wanted to have lunch specifically at the Palace Hotel and he was very accommodating about that too. At the end of the tour, I felt that we learned more about Tokyo than we could have ever figured out ourselves by going to the sites with just a travel book. We definitely recommend Mr. Yuki. We only had one day to spend in Tokyo, but he made sure that day was spent productively.

Yuki:
Dear Zeynep, Thank you so much for writing such a specific review. It was my pleasure answering guestions about Japan. I am very glad that you learned something through my tour. There are too many places to visit on a day, please come again during other seasons. Please give my best regards to your family.

“ Fun in Japan ”

We did two tours with Yuki and he was great for both. Yuki was very patient and accommodating as we shopped - our favorite thing to do. He customized our tours according to our preferences and even took us to places not included on his regular tour. We enjoyed his company so much that by the second day, Yuki felt like part of our family. Thanks, Yuki. Hope you enjoyed the chocolate macadamia nut treats from Hawaii!

Yuki:
Thank you for your review, Laurie. I was very happy to see your family enjoy shopping at Kuratsukuri street in Kawagoe and at Komachi strret in Kamakura. Sorry for the long wait for eel lunch and for the hot Indian curry for your mother. Please give my best regards to your family.

“ First Day in Tokyo ”

We hired Yuki to meet us at Haneda Airport and help us navigate the public transit system to our AirBnB. He helped us get settled, purchase public transit cards, and reviewed our itinerary so that we would know how to get around for the remainder of our trip. He also helped us make reservations and picked up tickets for us for later in our trip. He also took us to a few tourist locations. Meeting with Yuki on our first day made us feel comfortable and settled in for the rest of the trip.

Yuki:
Dear Judy, Thank you for your review. It was my first time to pickup at Haneda and to visit Tsukiji fishmarket in the morning. I was very happy when your family enjoyed shopping and tried many Japanese food there. Since you had asked me many places you wanted visit, I had not decided places for the afternoon. After eating Ramen, I took you to the observatory in Shinjuku and your sister liked the toy park very much and you found a free market near by. It was a great time for me, too. Best regards, Yuki.

“ Tokyo in two days ”

It was invaluable having Yuki to show us around Tokyo for 2 days, his tour covered most of the tourist sights and we learned a lot about history and culture. He was very well prepared, explaining everything to us in great english and had additional info/pictures on his ipad. He was also a pretty speedy walker which was great for us! I will definitely recommend Yuki's tours to anyone. Thanks for the wonderful time Yuki! Hope to see you again soon!

Yuki:
Dear Hayley, Thank you for your great review. I enjoyed the tour, too. We were very lucky to see Mt. Fuji with kind explanation from the observatory in Shinjuku. Please come again in Spring. Best regrards, Yuki

“ Dec. 14 tour of Imperial Palace grounds. ”

Yuki-san knows a great deal of history concerning the Imperial Palace and the area surrounding it. He strives to inform clients of the most interesting aspects of each area within Palace grounds. Also, whenever photos are taken, he will immediately forward them to his clients via e-mail. We had a great experience with him today.

Yuki:
Dear Henry, Thank you for your review. I was very happy to feel your interst in Japanese history. Please enjoy the final story of Sanadamaru, it is a story about the final battle before Edo period which lasted for 265 years. During this 2nd longest period of Japanese history, the east garden of Imperial palace where we visted, had been the main part of Edo castle. Best regards, Yuki.

“ Friendly & helpful ”

We had a nice trip to Hakone with Yuki. He made sure we managed to get on all the rides we wanted before sunset. We wouldn't have been able to achieve that on our own as it was winter and the sun sets much earlier. Yuki is a responsible and helpful guide.

Yuki:
Thank you for your review, Amy. I enjoyed the tour with your family. You are very lucky to see the magnificent view of Mt. Fuji. It was my first experience to take a nice photo of Mt. Fuji from Ubako. Yuki

“ Great first day in Japan ”

Yuki's tour was a perfect way to start off my first trip to Japan. Becoming familiar with the train system with Yuki saved a ton of time and made the rest of my travels easier. We saw some great sights in Tokyo and had the best sashimi I've tried at Tsukiji market. Yuki's english is excellent and he was very flexible+helpful with deciding on destinations.

Yuki:
Thank you for your review, Jeremiah. It is my pleasure if my tour helps the start of your travel in Japan. I always try my best to make the tour fruitfull for the guests.

“ Excellent Guide - Highly Recommended ”

My family hired Yuki for 3.5 days to see Tokyo and Hakone. We are very sophisticated world travelers and have used many guides over the years. Yuki was perhaps the most warm, flexible, and accomadating guide we have had. He is very knowledgable about Japanese history and the sights. He was superb with my two children, both who became very fond of him. It was a great help having him help us quickly navigate the subways and trains. I cannot recommend him highly enough. Thank you Yuki!

Yuki:
Thank you for your great review. I learned a lot from your research on the tour. I will add Pockemon center and Samurai museum to the list of my tour. I will report our experience at Hakone in the blog later.

Yuki was excellent. He showed us around the palace and we also went to the market where we had excellent sushi dinner. He helped us with the ATM machine as well..

Yuki:
Thank you for your review! It was so sorry that the east garden was closed on the day. But I always try my best to make you enjoy your travel in Japan. The sushi restaurant is my favorite. I was impressed your wife to eat Uni-don with sea urchins from five different seas.

I really like my one-day visit in Yokohama. Mr. Yuki took me to the bay for an amazing cruise trip and the landmark tower to enjoy the fantastic city view of Yokohama. Last but not least, it was Mr. Yuki who brought me to a local sea food restaurant where I had the best sashimi in my life. Thanks Mr. Yuki!

Yuki:
Dear Kevin, I am very glad that you enjoyed my tour. The cruise was very windy but the view was just magunificent. Thank you for the dinner at the very popular Japanese restaurant in Noge area. Their raw fish were delicious but I had to ask the price to made orders based on their menu without it. I will find another ones for the next trip. Best regards, Yuki.

Yuki san was an excellent tour guide. We had to move the time from 10am to 10.30am as we had just arrived from Kyoto. He offered to help get us an ICOCA card for subways(We declined as it was our last day in Japan). He not only explained the history of the places we visited but the customs that are followed and showed us more pictures and videos on his Ipad. His explanations were very informative. He showed my parents to an Indian restaurant and accompanied me and my brother to an excellent ramen restaurant. All in all very accommodating. He also went the extra mile when we wanted to buy a bag for cheap for all our souvenirs, he talked to people and found us a discount shop. And in the end he came along with us till our hotel. It was an excellent tour. Thank you Yuki san for a wonderful day.

Yuki:
Dear Ardra Thank you for your comments. I am very happy that you enjoyed my tour. I enjoyed guiding you and your mother shopping at Takeshita street and a souvenior shop in Tokyo tower. I learned that Zojyozi temple is such a nice place to visit. Best regards, Yuki.

We had to cut our tour short and Yuki was very flexible and helpful the entire time. We also appreciated his restaurant recommendations!

Yuki:
Dear Laura, Thank you for your compliments. I am very glad if you satified my tour. Tsukiji was very crowded on the day, we were lucky to find a good sushi resturant with reasonable price. Please take other tours of mine next time you come to Japan. Give my best regards to your boy friend too, Yuki.

My colleague and I had just about 24 hours to see as much of Tokyo as we could. Having never been to Asia before, we were a bit unsure of the best way to navigate the city and to see the many sites. Yuki was terrific! He guided us quickly through the subway system and through the crowds. His knowledge of the city, history, and Tokyo "must sees" was tremendous. Yuki tailored his tour to our "wishlist" and made additional recommendations. I would most definitely use Yuki again the next time I visit Tokyo to see the places we missed due to our time constraints. He was the best!

Yuki:
Thank you Dean, for your compliments. I am very glad that you enjoyed my tour, it was the best time for the full bloom of cherry blossoms. Please give my best regards to your colleague, she is such a nice person. Why don't you come again in your vacation. Yuki.

We had a full day tour with Yuki. He took us around Tokyo via Metro. It was lot of walking, a lot of Metro stops. Yuki had to rearrange our itinerary for late take off (due to the size of our group of 15 including 3 toddlers). We visited the Sengakuji Temple, which included the graves of the 47 Ronin. The kids experienced offering some incense at each grave. There were a few souvenir stores in the area. We headed to Tsukiji market for lunch. Yuki made a reservation and pre-ordered. This allowed for a very relaxing lunch despite the size of our group. The food was reasonably priced and the sushi was excellent. We were able to walk around the market and purchase some Tamago and other food stuff and more souvenirs. We headed to the Imperial Palace Gardens and saw the Iris garden, a tea house, the ninja house and the samurai house. Due to the insistence of our young travellers, we rushed to the Sumida River cruise and made it on the last boat. We relaxed on the boat to Asakusa with sights and some on board refreshments. Yuki accompanied us back to our hotel and even helped us book our airport car service. Yuki spoke good english and was very accommodating. He took us to sights we had requested to see (which we picked since we had done the usual city tours and shrines on our previous trips). These private tours are better for smaller groups, so everyone can benefit from the conversation with the guide. I would call Yuki again on our next trip. I would also recommend first timers take a private guide to the more popular sights. They share a lot of insight about Japanese culture and customs.

Yuki:
I am grateful to your elaborate review,Anna. It was a very good time for me too. Please give my best regards to your family for beeing very good guests. Yuki

We booked the tour with Yuki the night before the day we were in Tokyo, so it was very last minute. However, Yuki responded promptly and was very kind to help us. The tour was very nice. He took us to beautiful places, he was very well prepared, talking to us about everything in perfect English and with additional info/pictures on his ipad. He was very helpful to guide us around Tokyo. We were very pleased with this experience! It really makes a difference to walk around with someone that knows the place than do it on your own, and at a very affordable price! We would really recommend him! Thank you for everything Yuki!

Yuki:
Dear Stephanie, Thank you for your compliments. I am very glad to know that you enjoyed the tour. That was a very hot day and I let you walk a long distance. I am releaved that you finished your travel in Asia. Please give my best regards to your family too. Yuki.

Yuki San had good command of English, and his focus on the historical aspects of the tour was exactly what I was looking for - something a little different from lady tour guides who usually preferred the cute/kawaii aspect of Japan.
