Hi. I'm Michi.
I’m a national certificated tour guide in English. I would like to introduce many faces and charms of Japan and make your stay in Japan more fascinated and satisfied.
My specialty is tours of Hiroshima. In Hiroshima, there are two famous World Heritage Sites.
I have experienced many tours of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum & Park since I was a junior high school student. I would like to introduce you the a-bomb legacies that still existing in the city.
I also would like to share time with you in a historic island, Miyajima. There is one of the most famous Shinto shrines, the Itsukushima Shrine.
I also an official ‘A-bomb legacy successor’ designated by the City of Hiroshima. An A-bomb Legacy Successor is a memory keeper of the A-bomb survivors. To ensure that the A-bomb survivors' experiences and desires for peace are faithfully inherited and shared with as many people as possible, the City has started a three-year training program for official ‘A-bomb Legacy Successors.’ It is possible to include my lecture in my tour. It is appreciated that if you could let me know upon your booking.

Michi gave my wife and I an amazing day tour in Hiroshima. Before we ever met, Michi worked with our arrival and departure schedule to customize the tour. She accommodated all of our requests, including meeting us at the airport and pre-purchasing event and transit tickets so we wouldn't have to wait in lines. First she gave us a broad and interesting overview of the area, going back more than a thousand years and with context to the major events going on in Japan in each time period. Next, she gave us a thorough and well explained tour of the central sites related to the atomic bombing. She relayed to us the feelings and experiences of ordinary Hiroshima residents clearly and with respect. She filled us with emotion at the tragedy and recovery of her great city. Then she took... read more
Hi Jeff, Thank you for your kind message. I’m really glad to hear that you have satisfied my tour and loved my hometown. This time we didn’t use a ‘streetcar’, or tram. Next time when you visit Hiroshima, please enjoy our local transportation system, ‘streetcar’. Some call Hiroshima a city of active rail museum, as some cars are time-honored. Hope you enjoy rest of your journey and safe back to your home. Michi
Had 2 days with our guide Michi. Went to Kentai Bridge and Miyajima on day1 and Hiroshima peace museum and gardens plus Saijo (sake town ) on day2. Michi was delightful very knowledgeable and good company. Thank you Michi for 2 wonderful days. Michael & Mary
Hi Michael & Mary, Thank you for your review. It was my pleasure to share a brilliant time with you. At Kintai Bridge we saw cherry blossoms which we never expected and autumn red & yellow leaves at the same time! Also we met a couple in wedding kimono. You saw many beautiful faces of Japan. Hope you will come back to Japan in Spring to see more Sakura. With Lots of Love, Michi
My wife and I scheduled a day with Michi and had a customized tour that met our expectations perfectly. We were pretty worn out by the time we got to this part of our trip and she adjusted the schedule to fit our less than energetic pace. She was extremely prepared and informative and spoke excellent english. She was easy to talk to and a pleasure to be around. Highly reccommend her.
Hi Arthur, Thank you for your review. It was nice to seeing you two. I always think that my guests are very tough! I understand many of them are enjoying Japan in limited times and as much as possible. That’s why I like to have a tour in a relaxed leisure pace. Thank you again. With Lots of Love, Mich
Michiru gave us a wonderful tour of Miyajima island and the Peace Park. Her knowledge and ability to convey it made for an unforgettable day. And a huge bonus is that she has been trained to speak on behalf of the atomic bomb survivors and gave us a private 45 minute talk on behalf of one of the survivors. It was a moving and thought provoking end to an amazing day. I highly recommend!!!
Hi Arthur, Thank you for your review. It was my pleasure I could have shared a story of a 17-year old girl. As she told me please help to make bloom flowers of peace. Thank you and hope to see you again. With Lots of Love, Michi
She guided us to our places of interest and listened to what we wanted to see. She was open for suggestions.
Hi Marc, Thank you for your review. I was pleased to share time with you and hope to see you again. Michi
