Hi. I'm Michi.
I’m a national certificated tour guide in English. I would like to introduce many faces and charms of Japan and make your stay in Japan more fascinated and satisfied.
My specialty is tours of Hiroshima. In Hiroshima, there are two famous World Heritage Sites.
I have experienced many tours of the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum & Park since I was a junior high school student. I would like to introduce you the a-bomb legacies that still existing in the city.
I also would like to share time with you in a historic island, Miyajima. There is one of the most famous Shinto shrines, the Itsukushima Shrine.
I also an official ‘A-bomb legacy successor’ designated by the City of Hiroshima. An A-bomb Legacy Successor is a memory keeper of the A-bomb survivors. To ensure that the A-bomb survivors' experiences and desires for peace are faithfully inherited and shared with as many people as possible, the City has started a three-year training program for official ‘A-bomb Legacy Successors.’ It is possible to include my lecture in my tour. It is appreciated that if you could let me know upon your booking.
Let me support your stay in Japan and I look forward to showing you the best of Japan!

We traveled from Kyoto on the fast train to Hiroshima. We met at the station but I did have to call her because we didn't see Michiru once we got off train. She asked us what we wanted to see first, we asked for her opinion as we had never been to Hiroshima. She gave us an option to either go to the Tori gates & island first or the Hiroshima land marks and museum. We again asked for her opinion on what we should do first but she said it was up to us. We made the decision to go to Tori gates first. It took us awhile to arrive, it was very tourist spot, we saw the gates, had lunch did some shopping all on a very slow pace. Un be known to us that it was going to take 50 mins to the Hiroshima sites, when we got on the tram we thought she said 15 mins but it was 50 mins. We did find some of th... read more
I’m so sorry for the itinerary of my Hiroshima/Miyajima tour and miscommunication between us. I sent you a message on the ‘meeting point’ through the TripleLights, and I was waiting at there with holding a ‘welcome board’ until I got your ring. There are some who expect to see the floating tori gate when high tide. Through my experiences, I ask my guests ‘Which want to visit first,’ also I explained about transports and times with using a map. I know it’s too late, but I should have discussed with you all before your visit. My heart is aching as I feel how you were disappointed. I’ll keep your words in mind and try to improve my tour. Regards, Michi
A fantastic full day trip our guide was excellent
Thank you for your review! It was nice to be a member of your team. I Hope your safe back home and see you next year! Michi
We had a great time with Michi in Hiroshima. She met us at the station and took us through the Hiroshima peace mark, museum and over to Miyajima island. Being vegetarian, she knew of a place where we could get a vegetarian ominiyaki as well. She set a good relaxing pace for the day so things weren't overwhelming and we didn't feel rushed at all either, being able to take our team reading about the exhibits in the museum. She also had substantial knowledge and was able to give us lots of background on everything we saw. It was a great way to tour Hiroshima.
Thank you for your review, Jamie. I’m so glad to hear that you like Hiroshima’s soul food, Okonomiyaki; sounds like a tongue twister. I hope we have time to fold an Origami paper crane for the children's monument. Hope you visit Hiroshima again to see the main building of the museum. With Lots of Love, Michi
We had a great day with Michi exploring the Hiroshima Memorial Park and Museum followed by an afternoon visit to see the Itsukushima Shrine (Miyajima). Michi is very knowledgeable about her home city and was happy to do the tour at a slower pace due to my elderly parents needing to take things easier. Michi is warm and approachable and we were so lucky to have booked her - I cannot recommend her highly enough.
Hi Jayne & Family! I knew that you were at the very last few days of the long journey, so there was no wonder to enjoy the day in a leisurely pace. Did you find new KitKat flavours in Osaka? I sure you did! Hope you come back to Japan to find more lovely faces and to see me! Thank you again! With Lots of Love, Michi
Michi, thank you for a terrific day. We began our day with a very emotional experience to the A dome and the museum. Michi told us the story she is the keeper. It was a heartbreaking story and Michi did an amazing job, bringing us back to the aweful day. We ended the day at the beautiful floating tori gate and enjoyed a traditional sweet. Thank you Michi for a very beautiful memorable day.
Hi Jill, Thank you for your wonderful comment and sharing the story of the 17 year-old girl & her mother. It was a pity that we couldn’t see sushi running on a conveyor belt. Hope your coming back to Japan and enjoy more tastes. With Lots of Love, Michi
