My name is Mick Kimura. I was born in Nogoya city, Aichi prefecture and am living in Iwata city in Shizuoka prefecture located halfway between Tokyo and Kyoto, and about 100km or 60 miles west from Mt. Fuji.
I was working for Yamaha Motor as a service engineer for more than 30 years looking after various overseas markets. I spend total about 10 years in Kenya, Australia and Brazil, and visited many other countries.
After retired, I became a certified tour guide and doing it since 2009. I like traveling, walking in the historical sites, skiing, cycling, outdoor activities, etc. Now, I enjoy showing Japanese culture, history and things Japanese for the people from other culture.
My favorite places to visit are almost everywhere in Japan but particularly Mt. Fuji, Snow Monkey Park in Nagano, Takayama, Hiroshima, Nagoya, Kanazawa, and of course Tokyo and Kyoto, so on..
