I’m Noriko, certified national tour guide.
I live in Wakayama prefecture, where there are a lot of nature and historic places, hot springs and delicious food, such as seafood and fruits.
Wakayama stretches from north to south on the Kii Peninsula, however, it takes only about one hour from Kansai International Airport to the north part of Wakayama prefecture.
I’m sure I can help you learn Japanese culture, history, and traditions, and fully enjoy traveling in Wakayama.
I'm looking forward to seeing you soon!

I have an interest in traditional Japanese fermented foods and contacted Noriko via Triplelights for a visit to Yuasa, the home of Japanese soy sauce. We met at Yuasa train station and walked around town for the next five hours visiting two soy sauce makers, and a kinzanjimiso maker. Noriko had researched the tour thoroughly before I arrived, and was very professional, friendly and pleasant to be with throughout the tour. Soy sauce icecream with soy sauce topping was a surprise culinary highlight during the tour, as was wasabi kinzanjimiso. The spontaneous tour offered by a miso maker was most interesting to me, and the hands-on experience of making soy sauce at Yuasa Shoyu was a lot of fun. I'd also like to thank Noriko for suggesting the local specialty whitebait for lunch. Delicious. I encourage you to schedule a tour with Noriko in Wakayama prefecture.
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour with Noriko last week to Wakayama and to visit the Cat Station Masters. She is a very friendly, charming, knowledgeable and is passionate about what she does. Her english is excellent! Before the tour, she was very prompt to answers to my emails and made the extra effort to check out the information I requested regarding trains facilities, timing, special train type. And on the day of the walk, she made sure that we felt comfortable. She also brought us to a fantastic ramen lunch. Thanks for a great experience Noriko-san. Best Regards Grace
We had a lovely day with Noriko at Koyasan. She arrived on time and had our day planned to make the most of the sites we were to visit. Background information was good and all our questions were answered. A very informative and special day - thank you Noriko!
