Hello! I'm Eri. I'm originally from Iwate prefecture, and now I live in Fujisawa city, a popular seaside resort close to Kamakura. I've been guiding overseas tourists around Kamakura for several years. I really enjoy meeting people from all over the world and introducing the attractions of historical and present-day Kamakura and my neighborhood Enoshima Island. I look forward to meeting you soon!

We had a great day with Eri in Kamakura. Not only her knowledge was so good. She share it with such a wonderful way and with so much enthusiasm and love for her country. She also was so patient with us when looking at the different shops around letting us understand what we see and what we eat. I highly recommend to Eri as Kamakura tour guide!!
Dear Michael, Thank you so much for your review! Althouth it was only a 3.5-hour tour, we enjoyed a lot of talking while getting around the places, didn't we? You were listening to my explanation very earnestly, even taking a note sometimes, which showed your deep interest in our history and culture. It was such a fruitful time and so great meeting you two! Best wishes, Eri
We had a wonderful day with Eri! She is so well prepared and knowledge able about the area and its history. We had a terrific time-it was just like taking a tour with a good friend. She was extremely easy to understand and communicate with. She is also flexible and willing to make additions or changes as the day progresses. You cannot go wrong if you choose her as your guide.
Dear Sharon, Thank you so much for such a wonderful review! It really was a great day with all of your family. Starting from the visit of Tsurugaoka Hachiman Shrine, we visited Great Buddha in Hase and took the Enoden Line for Enoshima. From the train windows, we witnessed the railroad crossing popular among "manga" lovers from overseas, which was an amazing scene. You all were very patient in waiting for our number to be called at the most popular seafood restaurant on the island, weren't you? And I'm glad it was worth it! I hope each moment of the tour will be a good memory of your stay in Japan for long. It was great meeting you all!! Best regards, Eri
Eri was easy to communicate with right from the start. Quick to respond to any queries I had too. She met us with a bright smile and was very patient with us. She regaled us with the many stories of Shoguns and battles and tragic love. It was a wonderful way to learn of the past and to marvel at the monuments attesting to those tales. Truly a delight to share it with Eri. Thank you
Dear Ai, It's so kind of you to write such a great review! It was a great day for me with you all, too. Especially when we visited Egara Tenjin Shrine, which is a shinto shrine dedicated to the god of learning, your teenage son and daughter were praying sincerely for their progress of school works. I was impressed so much I prayed to the god for them too. Although we sometimes needed an umbrella on the day, it wasn't so bad and the drizzle was rather comfortable, wasn't it? It was great meeting you all and I hope to see you again on your next visit to Japan!! Best regards, Eri
It was a very good trip with a very experienced guide Eri. Even though weather was very hot, she kept on explaining every detail with a great energy. We are a family with two babies and Eri was very understanding and patient about their needs. Since we are Muslims, she arranged us a very nice lunch in a beautiful restaurant. We wish to see some more places soon with Eri, especially “Enoshima Island”. We recommend her to everyone who are looking for a joyful trip. Thank you very much for everything Eri...
Dear Musa, Thank you so much for your review!! That was a great trip inspite of the very hot weather. What I'd been concerned about was almost no problem due to the very good care you and your wife took of your small children. I was very happy to see your son was enjoying running around and watching ants on top of Cape Inamuragasaki, where we had a nice ocean breeze. I'm looking forward to showing you all Enoshima Island next time. It was great meeting you and your family! Best regards, Eri
Eri made our family’s day trip to sublime Kamakura most memorable. She is enthusiastic, charming, flexible, and has excellent English skills. Eri shared with us that she studied history at university, and her command of Japanese history was evident throughout the tour. She explained rituals, filled us in on legends, and pointed out iconic images and design features at the Zen temples and Shinto shrines we visited. Travelling with our teenage son, we were concerned that his attention might wane, but Eri kept us all engaged. Have you ever been inside a giant bronze Buddha? Have you ever seen the 800-year-old workshop of Japan’s greatest sword smith, Masamune? Have you sipped macha in a forest of tall bamboo trees where the silence is broken only by leaves rustling in the breeze? We have Eri... read more
Dear Ted, Thank you so much for your review with many kind words! I'm very happy to read it. The highlight of the tour was the surprise your son got at Masamune Sword and Blade Workshop, wasn't it? It was so lucky for him to have a chance to hold a real sword, which happens only once in a blue moon. I hope he treasures the memory along with other sceans we enjoyed on the day in Kamakura. It was really great meeting you all! Best wishes, Eri
