Hello! I'm Eri. I'm originally from Iwate prefecture, and now I live in Fujisawa city, a popular seaside resort close to Kamakura. I've been guiding overseas tourists around Kamakura for several years. I really enjoy meeting people from all over the world and introducing the attractions of historical and present-day Kamakura and my neighborhood Enoshima Island. I look forward to meeting you soon!

We were met at the Kamakura train station by a beautiful woman dressed in kimono. Eri was informative and entertaining throughout our walking tour of Kamakura. Not only did we see the beautiful shrines and learn of their histories, our tour included walking through the quiet residential streets away from the main stream to these sites. Eri's love for sharing her knowledge and insights was unmistakable as well as the care she provided for us. I highly recommend Eri to everyone.
We had a lovely day with Eri! My family (including twin 4 year old boys) took the train (which she helped us with finding the correct train/time) from Tokyo to see the Daibutsu, and with the help and knowledge of Eri, we saw the Big Buddha and so much more! Traveling with kids is so different and she helped make it fun for them and interesting and relevant for us. We first went to the main shrine, Tsurugaoko Hachimangu, where our boys could have been bored. But we fed the birds/fish to change the pace. We also took a detour bc my husband wanted to look at a woodblock store on our way to the next stop. She helped him communicate with the shopkeeper and we ended up with a beautiful piece of art. Seeing the Daibustu itself is pretty amazing, but had she not been with us we would have missed the opportunity to actually go inside! The best part was because I wanted a chance to see Mt. Fuji - she took us to the seafront at Inamuragasaki. it was a cloudy day so we didn't get the view we'd hoped for but my boys got to play in the sand and water for a bit! They're still talking about it! Eri also arranged lunch reservations for us so we could taste the very delicate and oishii baby sardines - sounds weird but try it! Overall Eri was helpful, patient, knowledgable, kind and we highly recommend her services!
We did a walking tour of Kamakura with Eri during our recent cruise around Japan. Eri was so helpful in advance of the tour, giving us exact instructions on how to take the train from the port in Yokohama. The tour was wonderful. Eri met us at the train station. She was wearing a traditional kimono, which was very nice. She gave us so much good information about the various sites. Her English is excellent. We stopped for a great lunch in a noodle restaurant. We highly recommend Eri for a great tour of Kamakura.
My husband, son, and I spent a wonderful day in Kamakura with Eri! The sights that we visited were beautiful and amazing and Eri had great information and stories to share everywhere we went. My son has a culinary background and she arranged a great place for lunch and a stop at a sword master's shop where we picked up a fabulous new kitchen knife. Eri really listened to our interests and created a great day for us!! Thank you, Eri!
We had a wonderful time with Eri. Being a local, Eri was very knowledgeable of the history, culture and legends of Kamakura. She speaks English extremely well and she made sure we were comfortable and did not feel rushed at all. My kids (ages 9 & 13) loved Eri. While we waited for our dishes at the table during lunch, she gave each of us a beautiful packet of origami paper and started showing us how to make ninja stars. Even though our tour passed the 5 hr mark, Eri still made sure we saw everything as per our itinerary and at the end of the tour, waited at the train platform with us until the train arrived and still stayed until the train departed. We highly recommend Eri as a guide. She's fantastic, warm, friendly, funny and a great photographer too! Eri, thank you for showing us around Kamakura.
