Hello! I'm Eri. I'm originally from Iwate prefecture, and now I live in Fujisawa city, a popular seaside resort close to Kamakura. I've been guiding overseas tourists around Kamakura for several years. I really enjoy meeting people from all over the world and introducing the attractions of historical and present-day Kamakura and my neighborhood Enoshima Island. I look forward to meeting you soon!

My wife Sandra and I spent a great day in Kamakura with Eri. She knows Kamakura inside out and she clearly loves it, which was apparent from the way she showed many of its highlights to us. Eri met us at the station dressed in a beautiful kimono which was a delightful touch. The tour designed for us took us to several temples around Kamakura and her explanations of the history and significance of each of these places were interesting and helpful to our understanding. Eri went out of her way to assist us with things that were of interest to us. We enjoyed a delicious lunch in a lovely vegetarian restaurant that Eri especially chose for us so we could experience some of the local cuisine. She is particularly good at putting you at ease and at providing information to match your level of knowledge about Japan and Kamakura in particular. We very much enjoyed our experience with guide Eri and would not hesitate to recommend her to others visiting Kamakura.
My sons (aged 14 and 12) and I decided to visit Kamakura as a short-getaway from our Tokyo trip. As I was travelling with my teenagers, I was looking for someone who could show us around all the shrines and temples (which could otherwise have been boring without any guide). We're very happy to have found Eri. Eri is an excellent guide who knows Kamakura very well. Dressed in a kimono, she has a pleasant personality and a lovely smile which makes her approachable and we felt immediately at ease with her. She was also very accommodating especially to our shopping request and didn't complain at all when our timing ran a little late for the tour. It was indeed a perfect and memorable day for my boys and I in Kamakura. I would highly recommend Eri to be your guide if ever anyone visits Kamakura.
We booked a half day tour with Eri because our flight arrived early in the morning and we could not check in to hotel until 3 pm. We took the wrong train and arrived 15 mins late into Kamakura but Eri was very patient and cheerful. She also helped us store our luggage at a "secret" local place near the station which was full. The tour was very informative and fun and was well worth the time spent. Eri was passionate about her work and enthusiastic in addition to speaking very good English - I would highly recommend her.
We were met at the Kamakura train station by a beautiful woman dressed in kimono. Eri was informative and entertaining throughout our walking tour of Kamakura. Not only did we see the beautiful shrines and learn of their histories, our tour included walking through the quiet residential streets away from the main stream to these sites. Eri's love for sharing her knowledge and insights was unmistakable as well as the care she provided for us. I highly recommend Eri to everyone.
We had a lovely day with Eri! My family (including twin 4 year old boys) took the train (which she helped us with finding the correct train/time) from Tokyo to see the Daibutsu, and with the help and knowledge of Eri, we saw the Big Buddha and so much more! Traveling with kids is so different and she helped make it fun for them and interesting and relevant for us. We first went to the main shrine, Tsurugaoko Hachimangu, where our boys could have been bored. But we fed the birds/fish to change the pace. We also took a detour bc my husband wanted to look at a woodblock store on our way to the next stop. She helped him communicate with the shopkeeper and we ended up with a beautiful piece of art. Seeing the Daibustu itself is pretty amazing, but had she not been with us we would have missed the opportunity to actually go inside! The best part was because I wanted a chance to see Mt. Fuji - she took us to the seafront at Inamuragasaki. it was a cloudy day so we didn't get the view we'd hoped for but my boys got to play in the sand and water for a bit! They're still talking about it! Eri also arranged lunch reservations for us so we could taste the very delicate and oishii baby sardines - sounds weird but try it! Overall Eri was helpful, patient, knowledgable, kind and we highly recommend her services!
