Hi, I’m Aki, a government licensed English speaking tour guide.
I was born and raised in Kagawa prefecture facing the Seto Inland Sea, in western Japan.
After graduating from a university, I had worked for a global electronics company in Tokyo for 30 years and retired early. Working with foreign colleagues gave me an opportunity to learn Japan through their point of views and I came to think it's fun to talk about Japan with foreign people.
Also, I love traveling, visiting a lot of places throughout Japan, amazed by its beautiful nature, great tradition, and wonderful food. I realized Japan has numerous tourist attractions.
Then I became a tour guide, hoping to entertain foreign visitors with my tours that are based on my experiences as a tourist.
I've been living in Yokohama and Kamakura areas for more than 30 years, knowing Tokyo, Yokohama, Kamakura and Hakone very well. I love food, nature, cultures and architectures, valuing genuineness of what to see, experience, taste and buy, which cannot always be experienced in a group tour.
I believe that participating in my guided tour will bring you a lot of fun. I can help you to explore Japan deeper and to get in touch with the locals, taking you to both popular spots and unbeaten sites where you can see daily lives of the people.
Let’s share a joy of touring in this lovely country.
Thank you and see you in Japan!

was excellent visit. Me and my wife enjoyed the trip. Mr Aki was very helpful and informative. He made our visit non forgettable one. I wish him all the best.
Aki was very enthusiastic and informative.
We asked to be taken around the fish market and Aki did a great job guiding us through the myriad of market stalls in the outer market, pointing things out and answering our questions. We then stopped for a sushi breakfast which was excellent, we were sat right at the chefs counter so could watch them at work. We then explored the Inner market. Next stop was the Imperial palace gardens, unfortunately we weren't able to enter as they have set visiting times that didn't fit with our schedule. Aki provided a good verbal explanation and additional photographic information using his notebook. We were very happy with the tour. Aki also has great English language skills.
Aki was so great - very well informed, interesting. SO friendly. Would highly recommend taking a tour with him!
As first-time visitors to Japan, we were very fortunate to choose Aki as our guide. We wanted to see Tsukiji fish market and Hamrikyu Garden on the first day of our trip, and thought a private tour with a guide would also help to orientate ourselves in Tokyo. From the moment Aki met us at our hotel, his friendly helpful manner and excellent English put us at ease as he helped us navigate the crowded train system and streets during our tour. Aki was very knowledgeable, well educated, thoughtful and had a a good sense of humour. He also provided information about places and processes that we intended to visit or use. He was excellent and we thoroughly recommend him for any tour he offers. Thank you Aki!
