Hi, my name is Yoshihisa. Please call me Yoshi. I am a government registered official licensed guide. I am flutent in English, French, and can communmicate in Spanish.
I love travelling, I love meeting with people, I love cycling. Sharing the joy of traveling is my utmost pleasure. I cycled and do still cycle in abroad, almost every year. I did pilgrimages of Camino de Santiago, a World Heritage pilgirimage way starting from various parts in Europe ending at Santiago de Compostella at the western end of Spain, in 2015 and 2016, both 1,600 km for 34 to 37 days.
I live in Yachiyo-city, Chiba-prefecture, conveniently located both from Narita Airport and Tokyo. I can reach both to Narita and to Asakusa in approximately 30 minutes. Having worked for a Japanese bank, I am retired since three years. As I am retired, I can be flexible in working timeflame. I am in good health. You may think my reviews are not many. That is because I started Triplelights recently, though I have been guiding more than three years.
As a founding member of a cycling tour in Tokyo, I have been guiding inbound tourists more than 200 times in many places in Tokyo, and the number of gustes I guided amounts to more than 1000. Many guests I guided kindly left good remarks and I am happy to know that they spent good time. In the meantime, I have been involved in various guiding activities as a volunteer, where I guided more than a hundred private travellers in English and in French. Occasionally, I guided tourist to a long distance tour to places such as Mr. Fuji, Kyoto, Kanazawa, Shirakawagoh, Noto peninsula etc.
My area of strength is off-the-beaten paths, so called Shitamachi in Tokyo. If you wish to start from typical landmark places in Tokyo, but not ending there and still further wish to browse through non-touristic districts where you can see ordinary peoples lives old and new, you are the one most welcomed to come along with me. If you are a fan of cycling, you are invited to our cycling tour or I can give you helps tips about travelling in Japan by a bicycle.
I look forward to be with you sharing the greatest moment in Tokyo with you soon.
Bonjour, je m'appelle Yoshihisa. Appelez-moi, Yoshi.

I am very active senior from New York & have travelled extensively with my late wife and just finished a wonderful solo trip to JAPAN. I had the pleasure of having Yoshihisa as my guide for a 1 day trip to KAMAKURA, from Tokyo. Of the 5 different guides I had in JAPAN, he was the best. Yoshi is an extremely intelligent man who was a pleasure to be with. Very informative. I can say a lot more but I believe I made myself clear.
Thank you Alan for your most generous words. I feel it was a greatest ever fortunate to have been able to meet with a person like you. We have a word coming from zen buddhism saying Ichigo Ichie, meaning though we may never see each other again, our memory of encounter stays forever. Together with many other inspirations you gave me, including your love to your late wife, I will not forget about you and a beautiful day together in Kamakura. Thanking again and wishing you all the best. Yoshihisa
Phenomenal night tour he knows exactly how to get from place to place without a wasted step. He’ll be showing you things on the way to where you are going. His English is great and I don’t think the tour could have been any better. Well worth the money, this guy is great!
Thank you Tom for your generous words. Despite the storm of the night before, we were lucky to have been able to spend a great evening, fewer people, short queue etc. I too have enjoyed the tour with you. I hope you have not been too much disturbed by the traffic to the airport, because later I found that trains may have been stopped longer than expected. Hoping to be able to see you again for your next visit to Tokyo. Thank you again. Yoshihisa
What a excellent decision to have Yoshihisa show me his beautiful country. We met at the train station and did a e bike 6 hour tour around Tokyo. This covered new modern side of Tokyo and old traditional side which was amazing. Yoshihisa’s knowledge is unalbelievable. Every question I could ask was answered. Do not hesitate to have him show you around Tokyo. Thank you again my friend, like I said in our goodbyes , you gave me a beautiful memory I will never forget!
Thank you George for your generous comments. It was a great moment for me to travel around Tokyo with a person like you. As you have commented, there are many aspects in this city, and I was very much encouraged and pleased by your enthusiasm to know about Tokyo. Although we have covered quite a good part of Tokyo, but there are more of secrets of this city and also depending on the season, it changes its face. So, I truly look forward to the next opportunity to meet you. Thank you.
What a great experience! We contacted Yoshihisa while we were in Tokyo and told him what we had already visited on our own. We had done the Sky Hop Bus and visited quite a bit on our own using the Metro. We wanted to see Sumo and lesser known spots. He offered two options, one by e-assist bikes and one walking tour. We picked the bike tour and did not regret it even if we don’t regularly ride bicycles at home. With their electric assistance, the bikes were fast and easy, even in small hills. Yoshihisa had prepared a tour that started and finished at Tokyo Station, close to our hotel. We started at 7:00 in order to catch Sumo practice that finished at 8:00. Even if we watched from outside the stable, the windows and door were open and we had a clear view and heard them. Some even went... read more
Thank you Stéphane for all your generous words. I am pleased that my recommendation was gladly accepted by you and you enjoyed it. Indeed, I too enjoyed a lot this fresh morning tour with you. It was a great honor and priviledge for me as a guide to be with persons like you, with thoughtfulness and so much passion to know about Tokyo. I appreciate your understanding and cooperation to start earlier than the original schedule, a minor change of timeflame therafter, and above all the flexibility and patience shown at the end of the tour. The buddhist ceremony was impressive Indeed, and I felt greatly rewarded by your interest which was way beyond tourists eyes, and was more a real approach to the spirituality of the local people. The chant at loud of a person behind us added an accent f... read more
With only 24 hours to spend in Tokyo, we reached out to Yoshihisa for ideas around how to cover as much of Tokyo as we possibly could in such a short time frame. Yoshi recommended an electric bike tour that would hit the highlights in the 2 half days we were there and we simply could not have done it without him! Yoshi put together a great itinerary and was a joy to be around. I would highly recommend Yoshi to anyone visiting Tokyo.
Thank you very much Bryan for having stopped in Tokyo and spending time with me despite all your tight schedule. And thank you again for your generous words as to our tour together in Tokyo. I too felt priviledged and was very happy to be with persons like you, so enthusiastic to learn and taste(!) the whole charm of this interesting city together. Though I am pretty much sure that we covered most of the places including the ones that ordinary tourists may not be abe to access, there are a lot more of the secrets and mysteries that I wish to share with you. I trully look forward to the next opportunity to see you again. Thank you.
