I had been working as an English-speaking taxi driver in Kyoto for about 4 years from March 2012 to May 2016. During that time I guided many visitors from abroad around Kyoto. In June 2016 I decided to quit working as a taxi driver and become a self-employed English tour guide. As I'm a licensed English tour guide and a professional driver, I can guide visitors from abroad around Kyoto, Nara, and other places in my car. 6 passengers maximum. English guiding is 4,000 yen/hour. No extra charge for carfare. As I'm not a taxi driver, I cannot receive any money for carfare. I will take you anywhere you like in my car mainly in the Kansai Region.read more

We, family of 4, booked 7-days cruise from Kobe and wanted to add a few days before and after the cruise to see Japan. We spent three days with Mitsuyuki. He picked us at our rental house in Kyoto with his van and took us to see temples and shrines of Nara. Then, on the next day, with all our luggage Mitsu-san drove us to Mt. Rokko and Kobe China town. We had real Kobe beef for lunch at a great restaurant and saw Kobe tower and Kawasaki museum. Mitsu took us to the cruise terminal and helped with luggage. A week later, after our cruise, Mitsu-san picked us up at Kobe cruise terminal and drove us to see Himeji Castle and Osaka’s Tempozan complex. At the end of the day he dropped us at our hotel in Osaka. Many thanks Mitsu-san for great tours and all your help!
Professional, informative, courteous, and entertaining. Everything we expected and more.
Mitsuyuki, was an excellent guide. He was very flexible and promptly replied to all messages. He gave some commentary for the places we visited and it was very interesting. I would recommend this tour to anyone with limited time in Kyoto.
We enjoyed our private tour with Mitsuyuki.. he had much knowledge of the area and the sites we went to see. A full day of visiting the most beautiful temples and shrines. Look him up for a private tour.
Mr Mitsuyuki was very good we only had 2 days to see around Kyoto and I think we managed to almost everything we wanted
