I had been working as an English-speaking taxi driver in Kyoto for about 4 years from March 2012 to May 2016. During that time I guided many visitors from abroad around Kyoto. In June 2016 I decided to quit working as a taxi driver and become a self-employed English tour guide. As I'm a licensed English tour guide and a professional driver, I can guide visitors from abroad around Kyoto, Nara, and other places in my car. 6 passengers maximum. English guiding is 4,000 yen/hour. No extra charge for carfare. As I'm not a taxi driver, I cannot receive any money for carfare. I will take you anywhere you like in my car mainly in the Kansai Region.read more

We had an amazing day with Mitsuyuki, he knew all the great sites and places to eat. Incredibly knowledgeable and fun to be with. Would recommend and use again.
Our tour with Mitsuyuki was a definite highlight of our trip. He was very accommodating since we had two elderly guests and one infant. He was able to adjust our tour accordingly and still make it a pleasant experience. Thank you Mitsuyuki.
Promptness is truly appreciated especially when we are pressed for time. One day will never be enough to see the whole city but a well thought off guide certainly did the trick. The tour was very casual, like you're touring with a friend and flexibility is a plus. Mitsuyuki San is eloquent in English and with that said made it easier to understand the Complex and very interesting nature of Japanese culture. We learned a lot about the Japanese culture, heritage, customs and traditions. We (me and my wife) appreciate him for not being too time conscious like other guides do. He wouldn't show that he is in a hurry in fact he would suggest for us to stay and hang around a little bit more especially when there is so much to see in one place. Not to mention that he doesn't mind being our photographer for the day as well. it was fun to explore with him. We will definitely book again if given the chance to come back here with our kids in the near future.
Thanks to Mr. Mitsuyuki, our family had a wonderful and memorable time at Kyoto. He was very knowledgeable with historical and cultural background of each site we visited. Excellent English proficiency and best driver as well.
Mitsuyuki has made the first day in Japan a lot easier and very convenient. Everything is cutomizable and exceed our expectation. He is reliable and responsive. We had a wonderful sightseeing in Kyoto and Nara. Thank you very much!!!
