Would you like to have a private guide who caters to all of your needs when you are in Tokyo? I can provide you with a comfortable, enjoyable and memorable trip in which you can feel you are guided by a local Japanese with personal warmth and without any language barrier.
My name is Koichiro(Please call me Koji or Kim!). I've stayed in Southern California for 3 years to attend and graduate from an American college. I am a licensed, professional English-speaking tour guide and would be truly glad to show you around Tokyo by sharing my knowledge and information. I'm also glad to introduce hidden gems, authentic local restaurants and bars in Tokyo(Food is the best in Tokyo!).
In my life I had chances to stay abroad with homestay programs and as an international student. Each time I was helped by them and they welcomed me with sheer hospitality and I've come to think that building friendship and sharing great moments with people with different backgrounds would be the most inspirational, treasurable experience in our lives. When I guide guests, I always try my best to provide an atmosphere where they can feel the same way when I stayed abroad.
I can draw up your own travel plan and am always flexible to your request. Please feel free to ask me any questions!

My family and I recently enjoyed two wonderful days in Tokyo with our guide, Koichiro. He is an extremely kind, pleasant and interesting person. His English is fantastic which made it very easy for us to ask him all sorts of questions about Tokyo and Japanese culture. Koichiro designed the perfect itinerary for us. It was exactly what we were looking for. He was prompt, courteous, and went out of his way to make sure we had a wonderful experience. We are a family of four, with two teenage sons. Everyone in the family enjoyed getting to know Koichiro and seeing the various parts of the city with his guidance. The rest of our visit to Tokyo was made so easy thanks to his guidance on navigating the subway system, assistance in making reservations, and information on Japanese customs. ... read more
Hi Michelle, thank you for writing a positive review of me!! On the 2 days, we visited the places in Tokyo focusing on its food and culture. It's truly memorable to enjoy the time with your family and I'm sure of Jack and Logan's great campus lives because both are talented in all aspects😁 Thank you and I Do hope to see all of you again in the near future👍 Best, Koichiro
Had a great time even for a 5 hour tour of Tokyo. Koichiro planned the tour and was able to show me the oldest temple in Tokyo and the busy cross walk in shibuya. Will not hesitate to contact him if ever coming back to Japan. Thanks Jeanette
Hi Jeanette, I'm glad that I could take you to the 2 major spots in Tokyo, Asakusa and Shibuya, with such limited time to make the most of your layover at Narita Airport. It was my first challenge and sometimes we had to be in a hurry, but I appreciate your cooperation and kindness all the time. Hope to see you again in the near future:) Koichiro
Very friendly and helpful tour guide. Was able to provide good information on spots to visit in Tokyo and also assisted with setting up a Pasmo card to allow me to travel the subway. Highlight was learning the history of the Meiji Shrine and Yoyogi Park. Thank you for a great day. :)
Hi Kate, I'm glad that I was able to guide you all the places we planned. I hope the day serves as a good introduction to Tokyo and Japan! I wish you have a nice trip on the remaining days👍 Thank you, Koichiro
Koji helped us assemble two separate itineraries ahead of our arrival in Tokyo, and we were very happy with our experiences. Day 1 (Saturday) was Tokyo highlights, and we visited the fish market, the garden, took a river cruise, visited a shrine, Takeshita street, and the busy pedestrian crossing. Day 2 (Monday) was Mt. Fuji which we didn't see because of weather, but it was still a very good day. Koji was punctual, polite, insightful and resourceful throughout. We loaded up our transit cards at the start of day 1, and we were off on our journey. He really knows how to get around the city, and is very knowledgeable of the places we visited. At the end of the day, we gave him money to buy passes for the bullet train to Hakone (Mt. Fuji), which he did on his own time to save ti... read more
