I, born and raised in Osaka, worked in government institutes of environmental protection located in the Kansai region for around 40 years. When I was in my 60s with mandatory retirement approaching, I began to think of the rest of my life not as a member of an organization but as an independent individual. Otherwise I had to stay home a whole day without doing anything, which led me to become so-called wet fallen leaves, unable to be removed however hard we try to wipe them out, which means to become retired aged men bothering families. Luckily I had got licenses of EIKEN Grade1 and a guide interpreter during my career, so I decided to make use of these licenses. I travelled mainly alone and visited lots of countries, developed and underdeveloped. As some of them needed visas,I always got them on my own at home and abroad. Whenever I was overseas as a tourist, I was welcomed by locals and was given invaluable information from guides and travel agents, which could help me travel smoothly. So I decided to return their hospitalities to foreign visitors here.
I have attended on foreign tourists to introduce things Japanese. Japan is an island country located on the volcanic zone. Therefore you can eat a wide variety of fresh seafood and enjoy Onsen hot springs, crater lakes and cone-shaped scenic mountains, products of volcanic activities.
The Kansai region has its own features in culture, history, nature, customs and manners.
Kyoto, the ancient capital, is famous for shrines and temples designated as the world heritage.
Osaka, the second largest city full of energy after Tokyo, is for local foods and shops to attract tourists. Nara, the oldest capital, is for Daibutu Great Buddha and deer in the park. Kobe, a modern port city, is for hot springs and foreign residences.
I am looking forward to spending wonderful time with you. See you soon!
